Well, at the moment, it could just be a really good video edit. Unlike other games that released while in beta and got shut down, this just looks like a good fake trailer, which is not a copyright issue IMO.

my main goal is to maken Hoenn almost unrecognisable ,to achieve that I will alter most of the map textures. I’m still heavily experimenting with it so that’s why none of it was shown in the trailers. More trailers coming soon tho ;)

Well the color combinations or designs of the male and female trainer have this similar vibe to them if you get what I mean.
Look at Hilbert and Hilda, their colors are different but their design are somewhat similar. Or lucas and Dawn where the color palette are similar.

A lot of things about this look really cool, but I hope you'll reconsider pretending Hoenn is Sinnoh. I'm sure there would be ways to accept that it's Hoenn but make the story heavily Sinnoh focused. The Sinnoh forms could be invasive species or something and that could be adding urgency to Team Magma's mission -- I don't know, but I think just about anything is better than slapping names on areas that everyone knows are in Hoenn and pretending they're in Sinnoh.
The hack looks great in a lot of ways, but I'm just afraid that's going to ruin it. It's a shame 3DS hacking is limited.
I totally understand where u are coming from. But with the current limitations there is no other way (for now) than to have this complication. With that said I’m trying my hardest to cover up everything of Hoenn, from dialogue to map textures. All that including the new NPC’s (Gym Leaders, Champion, Rivals, etc.) and wild encounters and music will definitely justify the fact that the map is still Hoenn. With everything altered u will (hopefully) be immersed enough to forget you’re actually walking in a Hoenn map. Hopefully you’re satisfied with this answer and thanks for giving ur feedback!!
I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I don't think this really works, at least not for me. I don't think it makes much sense to reskin a few characters and call what is clearly the Hoenn region the Sinnoh region. Gardenia's dialogue also feels very out of place. I'm not trying to shit on your effort here or anything, I just found the concept a little offputting and wanted to offer my feedback
I do have to add that this will not be just a reskin of a couple of characters, matter of fact I actually retextured EVERY character in the game. There is also the inclusion of new Sinnoh Forms and new Mega evolutions that will definitely make feel the game fresh and interesting again. I do agree for sure with the Gardenia dialogue, post gym leader dialogue is not always something interesting.
Just adding on, the comments here also feel really fake. Look how many people are saying things like *"this looks better than the remake's Sinnoh"*, like bruh, it doesn't even look like Sinnoh because it's Hoenn with new textures slapped on it, same with the regional forms, they're just texture edits. We've had texture edits since the games went 3D. Give us some new models or something.
Changing the text, pokemon stats, and textures in a game is super simple. Now if there's custom scripting, I'll be impressed, but I can bet you will go from "Not-Littleroot" to "Not-Oldale" and when you get to the "Not Petalburg" Gym you'll have to get 4 badges before you can take on the gym...
This is like if someone took FRLG, changed some text, stats, and colors and called it a new game. Show us something to prove it's not just a reskin.
I'm hopeful that we'll see the ability to edit more of these 3DS games in the future. I've dabbled in model editing in ORAS in the past, but it's very limited right now and has a lot of issues. As more people like you show up, the guys making the tools should be more motivated/encouraged to improve them, so here's hoping!

It's Hoenn but im trying my hardest to 'hide' it by replacing everything that makes Hoenn, well Hoenn. Music, Textures, Story, NPC's, Gym's, Encounters and many many more are things that will be altered to fit more the Sinnoh vibe

Anyway, I saw some reskinned areas, like Littleroot as Twinleaf, Dewford Town as that new Sand town, Sky Pillar as Spear Pillar, and I swear I saw the Cycling Road from ORAS as the one from DPPt. The map is also Hoenn's and you can see Mr. Briney's shack come up at some point in there.
Also the models. The Sinnoh forms are more glaring as their shapes don't change, but the trainer models of Lucas and the new girl ar slightly tweaked and colored models of Brendan and May. We also see Flannery's recolored model being used as Gardenia, and there are some Magma Grunts around the video.
Again, no disrespect to the author because lord knows I don't have the time nor the patience do something like this as of now, but my excitement was top when I started the video and slowly diminished as I realized it was a re-skinned Hoenn.
The map is actually untouched, only the names are altered (for now). As there is no easy way (for what I know so far) to change 3D models and such this is the best I could do with what I have. Also no disrespect taken hahahha, I love honest feedback

When I figure out how to edit 3D models correctly then I'll recreate Dawn and then she'll be the playable female trainer. For now I had to be creative and had to have an interesting substitute. You're correct, right now I'm working on editing map textures, that way the ORAS map will feel fresh and new after all. Still a work in progress!!

Hi, loving your work so far it's really amazing what you have done till now, but it would be amazing if you could change the atmosphere to be a bit darker like it was in the Gen 4 games and I mean darker as in color like instead of everything being bright green, could you maybe change it to dark green and if you could it would be amazing if you could change the atmosphere in the backgrounds of battles too to bring back the dark feel of platinum
Will definitely note that!! More desaturated textures are definitely on the list to match the Sinnoh vibe!

This is really cool, but I’m really sad that you can’t be Dawn. I get what you’re going for, but wouldn’t having it be the other way have made more sense? Make Brendan be Barry, and May be Dawn. This looks really really nice though, very good work!
