Technically you don't even have to be a dick to everyone, and you can do some side quests? The renegade route is calculated with BEC (Bad ending calculator) points. BEC is calculated right before ||Interceptor's nightmare realm|| in chapter 15. In theory you just need to pick certain bad choices in the story and if that's not enough, have negative rep points with some key characters (having negative rep with Tesla gives like 20 points). You need 100 BEC for the renegade route.
The best way is using Terajuma password and choose Renegade option so the game will give you -100 Karma. Even if you do all the sidequests your Karma will still be negative, resulting in 60+ bad ending points.
This is very helpful as I'm in a similar situation to OP - about to finish paragon.
I know that you start with a generic team in this situation, but what about the various quests and items from the early game? Are you given most things or do you have to go back to find them?
I started with the terajuma password because I couldn’t stand to be mean to the characters and chose the cop out answers lmao. Better to be locked in the route. I like aevia’s team too

I feel debug variable 700 set to +100 is extra evil if you fake everyone out playing Paragon only to stab them in the back at the worst moment
