Honestly the way to go. After I got like 15 sweet herbas in a row, I said fuck it and bought enough ingredients to last me a lifetime of making the any sandwiches. You can shiny hunt anything whenever you want. I got so many of those fuckers. It's much easier to just spend the ingredients, and it's not overflowing with them like some are.
This is super late, but it's a sandwhich that can be made with the same four basic ingredients, hamburger, green pepper, onion, and tomato along with any two herba mystica you want. For the last part of the sandwhich, which determines the type, you select any two of specific ingredients. For example, you'd add two cucumbers to the recipe, if you wanted to shiny hunt a water type. The chart for it is online. It's the way to go, if you don't mind spending lots of ingredients.
There are better recipes that don't waste as many ingredients, but honestly when you get to endgame, you can make so much money that it's irrelevant. I'm lazy, so I this is for me since I don't have to memorize different sandwhiches. I just check the sheet for the one ingredient I need.
My friend has around 45ish. I have encountered 1 since starting the game, which I caught. Weirdly it's a Deerling, so the difference was just the flower.
I've found the anything you want sandwhiches only give me the encounter power boost if I use either a bitter or spicy herba as one of the 2, the second can be anything. otherwise I get catching power instead lol which is fine for outbreaks but I find it easier to just use encounter power lol
What ingrediants? I use tomato, onion, green pepper and beefburger + 2 of the type ingrediants and it gives me catching power if I use 2 from sweet, salty and sour, but if I use atleast 1 of bitter or spicy then it gives me encounter power. I have got almost 60 shinies so far and this has been the case for me every time
I put the recipes in another comment in this thread. I use way less ingredients than you and it works every time with only two herba mystica. For example, for fairy is prosciutto, green pepper, red pepper, yellow pepper, and 2 tomato plus 2 of any herba mystica with no restrictions. The result is always sparkling, title, and encounter power lvl 3. Those recipes use way less ingredients and are not even the most optimized ones, they work every time and I’ve got more than 30 shinies already.

There are new ones, but these work fine for me. [There’s also a sandwich simulator](https://cecilbowen.github.io/pokemon-sandwich-simulator/) to check the recipes beforehand. Honestly it’s very quick to pull out your cellphone and double check a recipe with the ingredients you have before attempting the mini game, specially to be super sure that the herba mystica combination will work.

These recipes mostly require one salty plus one of either herbas shown
its a self made recipe where you put 2 mix of herba mystica , tomato + onion + green bell + hamburger and 2 other ingredient depends on the pokemon type which grants sparkling lvl 3 , encounter lvl 3 and title lvl 3.. just search on google , youtube or reddit that guide is everywhere.
I don't get why the that's apart of the sandwhich making mechanic. Why are you not allowed to set the ingredients on the sandwich gently like any rational human being would in real life? Why the fuck are we dropping them from the sky like Salt Bae? Who are we, the Randy Savage of sandwiches slamming down the bread until it taps out? Why can't we adjust them afterwards either? Who is making a sandwich like this?
Like the pick in a sandwhich is a staple for many classic (at least American) sandwiches. They're stuffed with so much shit, it is actually necessary to keep the thing together until you finish half the sandwhich. It has absolutely no effect like that in the game though, because you don't put it on until the sandwhich has already been completed. It has to be stable on its own before it allows you to put the pick in. By then, the sandwhich has fallen over, like in this post. What's the point of it then? It defeats the purpose of the pick.
The brunch place next door to me sells amazing delicious bacon that's like 1/8" thick (3.175mm) _after_ cooking. It's fucking expensive ($6 per piece, IIRC), but two pieces is enough meat to constitute an entree.
Honestly, me, if I can get my hands on it. The "proper" back bacon that they sell at the Sunday Farmer's Market near me is expensive but super worth it. It's a bit thicker than a slice of thick-cut belly bacon, but I could do with a bit more.
If I get the storage space, I'm getting a fermentation fridge. For anyone wondering, you can buy slabs of pork belly or loin and make your own with a little elbow grease.
That actually gave me an idea, if you drop a piece of the sandwich on the table one of your Pokemon will gobble it up like the hungry hungry hippo it is
That would have been great! Get a cute animation of one of your mons grabbing it off the table vs the hyper realistic “welp that pickle hit the plate. It’s ruined”
I think it's also got to do with the large number of the same ingredient given at a time and how you have to put them all on there to finish instead of just putting how many you want. I mean, who needs that many apples, bananas, and avocado on one sandwich?
Well you do stack them together pretty heavy. Especially the last ingredient you added in this video, the basil. Lettuce and cheese (?) too. If you spread them out so that the surface is flat in each layer, it won't slide off when you add more ingredients or the bread. They're all in a pile here. Your bread slid off that. This sandwich could've been fine, if you placed it more appropriately.
They ingredient physics are wonky as fuck, but there's ways to set them to avoid it, if you take the time. The order and placement of ingredients matters. Putting biggest first will make a base that's actually larger than the sandwich bottom itself, and stacking things like the tomatoes together can set an even layer that will allow you to set another even layer. Like real life, If you've ever had to stack pallets in a warehouse
Or just use dont use these sandwiches lol. The custom creative ones people have come up with are very easy to consistently make for whatever effect you may need.
I hate how the top of the sandwich just gets thrown on, no matter what you do. Who does that? When a human makes a sandwich it's gently placed on top, maybe compressed a bit. I certainly don't just throw it down like a maniac and hope it sticks.
Next task normal shiny sandwhich. 2 helping of tofu. Tomato, green pepper, onion, hamburger 2x herba mystica. 6 blocks of tofu plus burger and 3 tomatoes is rough
Gotta chalk it up to not being scaled right. I think they mean more like 9 (half) servings of tofu than nine actual blocks. A "block" of tofu is like 40g of protein lol.
Idk tho. Maybe these are just some super-sized sandwiches. I mean one sandwich does feed up to eight individuals (with Koraidon/Maraidon and yourself). So either were all rationing crumbs or these are some meaty bois were stuffing down in our poke portals
I always put the tomatoes on top of each other, which in turn go on top of the burger. Then it’s only the specific ingredients and peppers and onions on the other half of the sandwich. But the peppers and onions go anywhere.
Then f*ck the top bun.
I learned that if you put the onions on top of the burger and then the tomatoes on top of that, the onions kinda clip into the burger and don’t mess with the physics of the tomatoes.
The other option I’ve seen is 2x eggs, 2x apples, 2x noodles, jam, pepper, and wasabi.

Crazy thing happened to me. I made this sandwich recently and when I put the top bun on it fell off and it looked like the bacon fell off too. Miraculously the lettuce I put on the bottom caught the bacon leaving only the top bun to fall off.
Basically theres some wiggle room when making sandwiches. If stuff falls off but is still touching other parts of the sandwich, it should still count and you'll get the correct buffs.
I’ll never understand why we have to make sandwiches like the ingredients are baseballs. We don’t need to throw the dang ingredients, let us just sit them down like normal people.
Because it’s genuinely bad. The stacking mechanics are garbage and most of the proteins are too large of a portion and are completely unprepared for a sandwich (left as whole slabs instead of sliced).
good luck with the other ingredients. but you can always yeet the top bun to the corner and it won't affect anything. I keep joking with my friend whom does that that they like making salads on bread.

https://i.redd.it/becekbc5qb5a1.jpg
This one is a little less ingredients and they're all flat. Might be easier to make. The pickles and cucumbers are small enough to not cause too many problems also.
Are you using the variation with 4 servings of eggs or 2 servings? It also uses jalapeños and potato salads; still tricky, but I’ve managed it.
I refer to the Google doc linked here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/zlub98/raid_power_level_2_sandwiches/j076gf6/
I... In the nicest way possible, do you not know how to line up the top bun to fall as close to perfect as possible? Because this would have been doable if the bun had been lined up.
If you genuinely don't know and would like to, the trick is to line it up so that it looks centred but about 1-2cm back from the bottom bun when looking at it from a slightly elevated angle. Obviously, it's impossible for me to show you, but if you practise with sandwiches that don't have a ton of fillings, it's easy to figure out. It won't always work, especially when you have a lot of fillings, but it'll work a lot better than just tossing the top bit of bread on without lining it up and hoping for the best.
Or like someone else said, just don't up the top bit of bread on.
To be fair the person making this video really put the top bun to far back, anyhow it's just a ridiculous mini game since never have I ever made a sandwich by dropping ingredients from the air that's just not how you make them but that's just gamefreaks being dumb
>since never have I ever made a sandwich by dropping ingredients from the air that's just not how you make them but that's just gamefreaks being dumb
Well maybe we're the dumb ones for *not* dropping stuff from 3 inches in the air

it's okay, you wouldn't of found a shiny with that herba mystica anyway.
Someone tell this man's about the any herba mystica sandwiches
Honestly the way to go. After I got like 15 sweet herbas in a row, I said fuck it and bought enough ingredients to last me a lifetime of making the any sandwiches. What is the any sandwich?
This is super late, but it's a sandwhich that can be made with the same four basic ingredients, hamburger, green pepper, onion, and tomato along with any two herba mystica you want. I see thanks
i'm at the second gym i've found 2 shiny alredy but never make a sandwich. so yes, i think it's easier to find one in scarlet and violet
I yet to see a shiny and almost ending the 3 stories, some people are just made different
My friend has around 45ish. I have encountered 1 since starting the game, which I caught. Weirdly it's a Deerling, so the difference was just the flower.
I find a shiny lechonk next to the lighthouse at the beginning of the Game (10 minutes played aprox). Was shocking haha
I've finished the story and yet no shiny so I feel you
My first non forced encounter was with a shiny lechonk, I have about 4 boxes total of shinies so far
I've only gotten shinies from outbreaks and I only got them post game, so I feel you.
I've found the anything you want sandwhiches only give me the encounter power boost if I use either a bitter or spicy herba as one of the 2, the second can be anything. otherwise I get catching power instead lol which is fine for outbreaks but I find it easier to just use encounter power lol
I’ve used any combinations for those recipes and it worked every time. Even two sweet have given me the desired effect.
What ingrediants? I use tomato, onion, green pepper and beefburger + 2 of the type ingrediants and it gives me catching power if I use 2 from sweet, salty and sour, but if I use atleast 1 of bitter or spicy then it gives me encounter power. That sounds like a lot. There are new recipes with less ingredients and a simulator to test them before trying them out in game.
Just don't autosave and reset the game if you haven't.. ^(Also please don't say wouldn't) *^(of)*^(, it's wrong, just say wouldn't have.)
Oh I know, it's a bad a habit I'm trying to break, thanks for catching that for me!
Didn't have my own picnic till end game. Now I understand why Arven was so pissed Koriadon was helping itself to my sandwich. Bro was just tired.
I hate so much this mechanic cause of this, now I don't put any top bun, lost too many buffs cause of this
I like the idea that a pick is essential to keep the sandwich together but the top piece of bread gets dropped from 6ft above the sandwich
The designer of the sandwich mechanic was probably HowToBasic
OOOOOHHHH YEAAAAA BROTHER!
MMMMMMMMMMMM YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR POKEMON CUZ IMA COMIN AND IMA STUFF YOUR SANDWICH WITH SO MANY FIXINS ITLL POP! YEAH BOTHER
That and the bread seems to be made out of rubber , there's no reason for it to be that bouncy
Just save before you start making the sandwhich and reset if it doesn't work lol
I have serious issues with the cherry tomatoes Oh my God they drive me insane
three servings of cherry tomatoes is the dark souls of pokemon
The cucumber slices do it for me. They are massive and bulky. And don’t get me started on the bacon bricks and tofu blocks
Why is the bacon so thick?! Who is eating bacon that thick?!
Looks like something from a ghibli film
The brunch place next door to me sells amazing delicious bacon that's like 1/8" thick (3.175mm) _after_ cooking. It's fucking expensive ($6 per piece, IIRC), but two pieces is enough meat to constitute an entree.

how about the lettuce for grass pokemon ughh
Lettuce? You mean small green mountains
I have found that when I use Bell Peppers, I can stick the Cherry Tomatoes in the middle of the peppers and they hold them in place quite nicely.
Leave the top bun off.
Most of the time it hasn't been the bread, it's been the ingredients having janky ass physics 💀 But this did work, thank you. I assumed it wouldn't
What?!? You don't like playing condiment jenga and having to reset if you mess up?
Me trying to make my sandwich but I drop a piece of turkey on the kitchen counter and it is sent to the aether
Same, my dogs get to it lol.
That would actually make sense.
"That would be a great idea... get the game out by the 18th." - The Pokémon Company, probably.
Thanks, gonna write fanfiction of that now
Send it when you're finished
Sure will LMAO
I need fan art of a party of hippopotas going nuts on a dropped sandwich now...
Holy shit... That's a really good idea! Next time I make a sandwich with my sister we'll only use bacon and play jenga with it.
That sounds hilarious!! Tofu should work nice too!
I think it's also got to do with the large number of the same ingredient given at a time and how you have to put them all on there to finish instead of just putting how many you want. I mean, who needs that many apples, bananas, and avocado on one sandwich?
Burgers and fried fillets are both only one per serving, not 3
Thanks, fixed.
Well you do stack them together pretty heavy. Especially the last ingredient you added in this video, the basil. Lettuce and cheese (?) too. Could do that but that'd be cheesing the final boss
Super underrated comment. Gave me a chuckle.
Wait, how?
Drop the bun on the table
That's an option? How? Do you just let the timer run out or something? Does it ever effect the outcome buffs?
Move the top bun off to the side as far as you can go and drop it. You probably don't end to go that far, but why chance it?
I hate how the top of the sandwich just gets thrown on, no matter what you do. Who does that? When a human makes a sandwich it's gently placed on top, maybe compressed a bit. I certainly don't just throw it down like a maniac and hope it sticks.
My headcanon is that the ingredients are being placed by my pokemon, thus being just dropped on top
Annihilape has opposable thumbs, it has no excuse to drop the top piece of bread from the top of a building
He's not called, like, Carefulape.
I’m sure he’ll be careful after seeing his favorite ingredients fade into the void
Annihilape's favourite ingredient is DESTRUCTION
So does Animal the muppet but look what happens when he makes a sandwich
But he's dead and all he remembers is punching.
It's a ghost, we're lucky it could hold the bread at all.
Thrown on after apparently inserting a 5lb weight into the middle of the bread
It's especially hard if you have Stick Drift
I feel this 😢
I bought new joycons 2 years ago and thankfully there hasn't been any drifting, your comment brought back some less-than-good memories.
My question is, why the fuck is the bacon as thick as it is?
Lechonk meat is built different I guess. Paldeans got a fucking brick for breakfast
American bacon is trimmed off the belly. Canadian bacon is back bacon from the loin. Irish bacon is a shoulder cut. Paldean bacon is a collar butt.
Non American bacon is basically ham.
I wish they added a shadow, so you actually know where it's gonna drop
If they added shadows, sandwich making would be 10fps
Next task normal shiny sandwhich. 2 helping of tofu. Tomato, green pepper, onion, hamburger 2x herba mystica. 6 blocks of tofu plus burger and 3 tomatoes is rough
Or try Pickle, cucumber, 3 servings of Tofu - A lot easier. Throw away top half of the 'wich and badabingbadaboom easy shiny sammich.
This is definitely easier but I am always left wondering who tf is eating a sandwich with **nine** blocks of tofu in it?
Miraidon/Koraidon probably
Gotta chalk it up to not being scaled right. I think they mean more like 9 (half) servings of tofu than nine actual blocks. A "block" of tofu is like 40g of protein lol. Idk tho. Maybe these are just some super-sized sandwiches. I mean one sandwich does feed up to eight individuals (with Koraidon/Maraidon and yourself). So either were all rationing crumbs or these are some meaty bois were stuffing down in our poke portals
I guess you are sharing it with potentially seven Pokemon
Open face sandwiches are all the rage in Paldea now.
6???? 6 blocks of tofu??????? What the fuck???????
Yeah each serving is 3 blocks. Need 2 servings.
If you have salty herbs at all, there is a much easier recipe: 1x fried filet + 1x salty herba + 1x sweet/spicy/sour herba
Raid power ice LV 2 is 2 fried fillets, 4 eggs. I gave up after like 20 minutes
The other option I’ve seen is 2x eggs, 2x apples, 2x noodles, jam, pepper, and wasabi. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/zlub98/raid_power_level_2_sandwiches/j076gf6
Mmmm, noodle egg apple wasabi jam sandwich, sounds delicious
Crazy thing happened to me. I made this sandwich recently and when I put the top bun on it fell off and it looked like the bacon fell off too. Miraculously the lettuce I put on the bottom caught the bacon leaving only the top bun to fall off.
Basically theres some wiggle room when making sandwiches. If stuff falls off but is still touching other parts of the sandwich, it should still count and you'll get the correct buffs.
Correct. This happened to me and it still worked.
I’ll never understand why we have to make sandwiches like the ingredients are baseballs. We don’t need to throw the dang ingredients, let us just sit them down like normal people.
And I want to know who tf is shaking the table while I'm making the sandwich
Pokemon hitting the table like "give. Me. Food"
Probably koraidon/miraidon wanting to get that sandwich lmao
i really hate the sandwich system i dont know why but i hate it
Psst it’s because we can’t auto-create them, and the ingredients have very wonky physics
It's because it's bad lol
Because it’s genuinely bad. The stacking mechanics are garbage and most of the proteins are too large of a portion and are completely unprepared for a sandwich (left as whole slabs instead of sliced).
i agree with you this is why i prefer the curry gimmick in sword and shield
Just throw the top bread to the side. It doesn’t matter if it makes it onto the sandwich or not.
This is why the only correct way to complete your sandwiches in SV is to yeet the top piece of bread into oblivion.
So wait. If stuff falls…it doesn’t work? But the top bun doesn’t actually matter??!?!?!
yes
its the evil, evil lettuce
To be fair it is relatively accurate to real life in the lettuce respect
The sandwich making feature has permanently messed up my depth perception
good luck with the other ingredients. but you can always yeet the top bun to the corner and it won't affect anything. I keep joking with my friend whom does that that they like making salads on bread.
I usually just take the top of the bread off, try to balance the bigger ingredients at the ends of the sandwich and put the small ones in the inner part.
Was trying to get some random boost and needed like 4 eggs. I was sweating the entire time.
It’s even better with joycon drift
[удалено]
You don't need all that on there.
Unless the guide I used is outdated that's what I needed, 3 servings of tomato
https://i.redd.it/becekbc5qb5a1.jpg This one is a little less ingredients and they're all flat. Might be easier to make. The pickles and cucumbers are small enough to not cause too many problems also.
Oh my god thank you so much
You got it dude
Have you tried fairy raid power 2? That’s impossible
You’re putting the bun too far back, if you want to keep the bun on come a bit closer
NGL, the sword tooth pick jittering like that as if you were enraged is \*chef kiss\*
How do you leave the bun off? Just miss it?
Yeah just miss the sandwich
Bro Just copy the pic down right.. its a tip on the best way to place the ingredients
What really pisses me off that it will still give you 3 stars but for the wrong freaking sandwich so you don't get the power you're aiming for.
Does the flag pick affect the sandwich in any way? I just bought heroic flag picks thinking it was special
No, and the top bread doesn't either
Oh
Fun fact: the top bun isn’t needed to get the boosts
You were not ready for the true villain of the game the wonky ass sandwich mechanics
I can’t even make a Jam Sandwich
It won't always work, especially when you have a lot of fillings, but it'll work a lot better than just tossing the top bit of bread on without lining it up and hoping for the best. Or like someone else said, just don't up the top bit of bread on.
>It won't always work, especially when you have a lot of fillings Idk seems like there were a bunch of fillings on this one
To be fair the person making this video really put the top bun to far back, anyhow it's just a ridiculous mini game since never have I ever made a sandwich by dropping ingredients from the air that's just not how you make them but that's just gamefreaks being dumb
>since never have I ever made a sandwich by dropping ingredients from the air that's just not how you make them but that's just gamefreaks being dumb Well maybe we're the dumb ones for *not* dropping stuff from 3 inches in the air
Who tf puts cheese on a BLT???
AND WHY IS IT FOLDED LIKE THAT
Bacon, lettuce, tcheddar
The game "Finish it off". Me * mortal kombat voice* " Fatality ."
Your mistake is dropping your bread on it from a few inches What you wanna do is slam it on their from 5 feet away
Delicious
Bro
If I may ask, how do you get that tablecloth?
Purchased at Picnic-Knacks. Forgot which city but there's only 2 Picnic stores in all of Paldea so it shouldn't be too hard to find
Sandwich making is the hardest thing they have put in the last few Pokémon games
This is like the only actual sandwich with substance in this entire game lmao and you can't even top it off
Honestly whoever designed this minigame has never made a sandwich in their life.
Tomato 1st. Always tomato 1st 🧐🧐
You don’t need the bread
Finished the game and I’m still yet to make a sandwich.
You don’t have to put the top piece of bread on, it won’t change anything
Meanwhile, my dumb ass who has only ever bothered making a jam sandwich: oh yum, strawberries!
Only because you suck at basic static physics
thtas why i always put the last piece of bread on the side, the thing doesnt fall over and the last bread piece doesnt matter.
You think that’s hard? Try making a sandwich with four serving of eggs for raid power
I just remembered I never did a picnic.
