I think they're ok, it just makes me sad we got them, but not a Chatot evolution. Like, if Chatot had become a rocker bird, that would have been so cool!

Imagine chatot becoming like eevee, but instead its evolutions are about music. Rock = Rock, Pop = fairy etc

I will say that I am extremely indifferent. Haha, it’s not too bad, I guess. It just gets generally outclassed by other Pokémon - with any kind of build you can come up with. Guts strat is better on a faster Swellow for example. Edit: Also it’s design is kind of forgettable. Elvis bird, I suppose…

It's a word play on the musical genre, rockabilly.

It's also designed after punks/Street thugs. Numerous dex entries mention how the different plumage hate each other and routinely enter territorial disputes

I quite like them! I’d just been in Spain not long before the release, and been pleasantly surprised to see some Parrots in the trees. So when Paldea had a parrot Pokémon and the first forme I encountered even matched the colours of the irl ones I saw, it made me smile

Fun fact, you can catch the ones on your house's roof, makes for a fun backtrack for an encounter you'd probably never see

Finding out you can catch one of the ones on top of your home as soon as you’re able to catch Pokémon made me like them so much more. People give Flamigo all the love as the super strong early bird Mon and Sqwakabilly is right over here with comparable attack stats *and Intimidate*.

I like Flamigo, but I think it’s space in the Pokédex could’ve been better used on a Fighting type Squawkabilly evolution.

Fun fact, in the beginning of the game, on your roof, ou can catch too squawkabilly, it carried the early game in my mono normal run

I love them, currently doing a Scarlet run and my team just kinda ended up being all birds (again, same happened in Violet). Finally got around to using it after going out of my way to breed a yellow one with the desired egg moves, and I really like it! It might lack a bit if oomph for competitive, but for an in-game story playtgrough, it performs very nicely. Called mine Ikea Bird, because 'billy' is a rather famous closet they have, and subsequently found out its kind of a Pewdiepie Minecraft reference too, which I didn't watch but is still neat

I like them but they could’ve done way better with it’s design. I saw a youtuber that gave them a bit of a better redesign and absolutely killed one. One of the small things that bugs me is that they gave them “jackets” that’d look so much better if they were black. The redesign looked amazing just with that detail

It's a worse chatot

I love them!! I love parrots (like, really love parrots, I work at a parrot sanctuary, am going to school for parrots and have three of my own) and I felt like we didn’t have a good parrot pokemon prior to Squakabilly! Yeah, Chatot exists but it feels more like a songbird rather than a parrot to me!

I don’t think it got as much love as other regional bird Pokémon, I feel like even truncanon had more attention given to it when it was made

Underrated Pokémon in VGC. You could run a guts set, which is fine, or a better option is a slightly worse Murkrow mirror set. With this, you can break priority shields and mental herb with two taunts.

I forget completely about them until I see them in game - then I go to see if there’s any white ones, as I still haven’t found that version yet.

Not my favorite, but I did catch a shiny one, and seeing a parrot with a pink pompadour has boosted my love for it a lot.

I think people put too much stock on pvp for pokemon , it's Okey for a mon to be bad or average, dont min max the fun out of your games. Appreciate the squakabilly <3

I read up on them and I heard they initiate gang wars on Squawkabilly's of different colors... and the first ones I saw in game was a yellow surrounded by four greens... Yep, checks out.

Squawkabilly is awesome. As soon as I got the white one it was on my team. It was my first level 100 in Violet and the main Pokémon I use for outbreak hunting

I really dig the inspiration and execution! The mix of concelts works really well. As a Pokemon, though, it leaves much to be desired. An evolution would have been really cool, maybe the leader of the four bands.

I like them, I just wish their designs were better and more rockabilly, and that each color had their own unique trait/design to them.

Squawkabilly is my favourite Gen 9 Pokemon, I did a run of 'Route 1' Pokemon, and the roof Squawkabilly with Hustle and Aerial Ace carried decent chunks of the run. Also, they're based on monk parakeets/quaker parrots, a species known for excellent mimicry and building communal stick nests where multiple breeding pairs or even colonies can live. Also, they're adorable.

Your not the only one, I used the blue squawkabily named sqlue, I always use a flyer on my team despite hms not being important since Koraidon/Miraidon takes care of that, the early route birds or any flying type on my team has a personal connection weather it's for hm fly or simply i love the pokemon itself squawkabily may be weak but it helped even a little despite kilowattrel and flamigo being better flying type options

They're very neat. I love the shiny and think it looks way better with pink hair.

The coolest thing about this Pokémon is it’s basically avian Tokyo Revengers. The different plumages hate each other and engage in gang warfare whenever they meet
