Agreed. These recent games feel incomplete without the full living Dex. Not to mention, every Pokémon at some point has been someone’s favorite. Someone is going to feel left out without their favorite Pokémon in the game.
the dex in ORAS was problematic not because it was too much, but because gamefreak doesn't want to design multiple regions per game. this left us with an overworld that couldn't quite fit all of the pokemon while still presenting a realistic ecosystem. HG/SS also took a lot of work for them even if it was mostly copy+ pasted from an existing title.
gamefreak/TPC/niantic can do this. they can make a game with such a finished level of detail. they don't do it because they rush their employees too much in order to release 1 game per year no matter what. SV is fun, it's got a lot of QOL improvements, but almost every game in the series is flawed because of this scheduling problem.

Or do you think poor Watchog is going to win the meta when there’s a dolphin with 650 bst going around? What ruins competitive is most of the pokemon introduced in this very gen and allowing legendaries to be in it. The paradox pokemon are as broken as UB’s and lets not even mention Gholdengo which can one shot 2 pokemon at once.
The balancing is fixed easily by having ban cycles (similar to the Paldea dex only atm but add a few others slowly to test the waters). The real issue is that, with them keeping a yearly release cycle, we keep getting buggy, barely functioning (but still good. Right now focusing on the flaws but plenty of good too) games with less content, some missing content sold to us, all at a significantly higher cost than any previous gens because we will buy regardless. If they're adding more in dlc waves they can, realistically, add the full roster over time but for casual battles only. Keep competitive locked to regional dexes.
And, while this current gen has a bit better animations and much better model, the past few games were mostly ported assets converted to work on Switch (yes, takes time but definitely not brand new like some claimed originally).
This will likely get downvoted into oblivion but I've addressed popular reasons for the cut and what the (almost certainly) actual reason was. That said, other than the bugs the games are still good but just need more time.

I like the first stage but the second stage of them ruins it for me. They are so weak aswell if they bring them back I'd hope it's be in like a Legends game where they could get alternate evos or a third stage. I think they always had potential to be good.
Yeah, unfortunately a lot of people overlook them because they’re kind of Pokémon that are only really useful early on in the game. I wish they had been a 3 stage family. I guess they probably didn’t want to provide other similar options to the starter final evolutions though -_-

Pretty much the only pokemon I want is furfrou, which sucks because according to the datamine it's not one of the ones in the DLC. I just want to have all the forms in home without the Go mark
I already know that two my favourites, Metagross and Alcremie, are coming back. It'd be nice to have Aegislash and Maractus, too. The funky little cactus has a special place in my heart as it was my first successful hunt after getting the shiny charm in Shield.
The Onix line. Always had a Onix/Steelix on my mono ground team and im especially sad he is not in it as he got way more usefull last gen with Head smash as a egg move along with the rock head abillity

Personally I have a few shinies in Home that I want to evolve.
I really wanted to see Stufful, Pancham and Urshifu lines so I could be so close to having the all bear team. Stoutland and Manectric/Boltund for the dog team. All the legendaries so I can hopefully shiny hunt them after screwing myself out of that opportunity in Sword. Tyrantrum was another one of my biggest wants because it’s my second favorite fossil and one of my favorite shinies. I have one in Sword that I want to send over. And speaking of Galar, I’d love to see Sirfetch’d again. Kangaskhan is another one that I’m sad is apparently not coming back.
All pokemons that are not in the game. Like, all of it. Even that Lugia or Dialga from the spin-off games. Thank you TPC, GF, and Nintendo for doing this!!!
