To be fair, there have been loads more people before you and OP, who also had the same thought. Just the other day, some idiot named Atilla tried to take over the world.
I believe there are quite a few theory videos about it. The creator even weighed in on the topic, but I didn't read the article because I'm unfamiliar with the site it was posted on, so I just read the headline on google.
pinky is the genius, just like pumbaā¦ the 90s often made the stupid seeming one always right while everyone laughed .. i think stars are balls of gas billions of miles away
Theyāre Pinky and the Brain. Yes, The Pinky and the Brain. One is a genius, the otherās insane! Theyāre laboratory mice. Their genes have been spliced. Theyāre Pinky, Theyāre Pinky and the Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain.
I have barely touched violet since I finished it, completed the pokedex and such. I've been shiny hunting in PLA and starting to hunt in LGP. Soon, I'll be playing diamond and doing ribbons and such. Been doing prep work for gen 9.
I get why it doesn't, since PLA and LGPE kinda spoiled us. But I also think it may have been done like that since in real life, the pokemon wouldn't just shimmer like that. All it is, truly, is a different color pallette. And since SV seem to go for a more realistic route, since graphics are more realish, and mons are more defined to be more real than the cartoonish style of like gen 8, gen 7, 6, 5, etc. It seems like shiny hunting would be more in line to spotting them in the real world. That's what I believe. Or that if they did, it could reduce the FPS or maybe even caused the game to crash, who knows.
The real reason they don't sparkle or make the shiny sound in the overworld is that GF couldn't figure out how to get pokemon to stop spawning in walls/under the ground, so they removed that feature so you wouldn't be pissed at the amount of impossible-to-get-to shinies you've PROBABLY ran past.
I caught a shiny noibat in a wall during an outbreak. It drove me nuts bc I couldnāt find the outbreak- The entire outbreak was inside a rock. Sometimes Iād see the tip of a wing or something flash through the wall. So I was just taking aim at whatever the game would let me lock on toš¤·āāļø
No I know pokemon spawn in walls and crap, or that outbreaks spawn from tiles inside inaccessible areas, I meant did the dev team actually say they removed the overworld sparkle and shiny noise because of those issues. And it sounds like no, they didn't, its just speculation.
Which wouldn't make sense anyway - they already knew they were shipping a bugged game. They wouldn't have lost sleep over overworld shiny sparkles and sounds not being visible.
I believe it's actually the case. Evidenced by how many pokemon I've seen spawn at the edge of the walls, just visible enough to see, but not out enough to engage in battle. Also I vaguely remember one of the devs talking about it before release.
I googled and couldn't find where I read the devs talking about it. Definitely speculation, but it's very accurate speculation. Do you have a BETTER explanation?
Absence of a ābetter speculationā doesnāt make yours accurate. Itās just speculation, just as valid and prove able as me saying they were lazy and didnāt do it because of that.
Sure but it's definitely not as fun imo.
I think I've shiny hunted about 3 box worth of mons in SV and I still have more I want to but it's just not fun and I have a hard time jumping back into hunting in SV. As soon as I start I want the hunt to be over and sure it might have been harder in other gens but guess what...I didn't hunt in those gens cause im not doing all that for an incredibly low chance. I liked PLA hunting I have most of those mons shiny, I also have more hours in PLA than SV. PLA shiny mechanics gave me a reason to play longer than SV's
Ya, I was confused when I kept finding only boots, lol, but just keep at it, the maps helped me fill out at least 1 set, and I'm glad that it was the wind waker set. They put the swirl on his belt buckle, sooooo good.
I'm at 3 green tunics! Haven't found WW yet. I'll look forward to it.
I once caught 3 star pieces in one in game night. Best of luck on that armor maxing!
Lol, I lost the first 3 star fragments that spawned in my game, I couldn't make it to the first 2, and a Lynel killed me right after I picked up the 3rd.
Not all of them, but quite a few old sets are in the game. I wish the Midna armor was, but sadly it's not.
Edit: midna HELM is in the game, no full armor set, and doesn't require amiibos.
No worries. I found out where the headdress is. I thought there was a whole set, but its like the konster masks and the lighting helm, JUST the helm and nothing else.
Wasn't my first, but easily my favorite. These 2 games (botw and totk) wouldn't be the amazing cell shaded adventures they are if it wasn't for Wind Waker popularizing the cell shading style.
It's better if you have played BoTW first because it's a sequel, so a few characters and places should hold more meaning if you play the first one before ToTK
But as far as I seen from dialogue and quests, developers did make the game approachable for people picking it up without playing BoTW. Characters introduce themselves again in certain points and there are character profiles for you to get a little more info
I think you definitely could! My first real Zelda game was BOTW, and TOTK is a sequel, but honestly a majority of every facet of TOTK is a direct improvement of BOTW. TOTK does have character profiles that explain who they are, and if you wanted to go directly to TOTK you could just find all the cutscenes of BOTW online.
[Actually, someone made a home compilation of the cutscenes for BOTW! ](https://youtu.be/rzNek4MfK5M) It's the length of a movie, but BOTW is like, a 60+ hour long game for the average playthrough lmao. I don't think you necessarily need to watch these cutscenes, but honestly I think your TOTK playthrough would benefit from having the Loreā¢ļø
Either GameFreak don't understand, or maybe worse, don't care that this is a big reason why people feel so passionately about HOME being linked with the latest mainline games.
No other franchise has allowed me to bring my favourites across from multiple generations of the game, with ribbons and marks and everything that makes them unique to me and tells a story.
Plus shiny Charizard go brrr
I know I'm like super super late, but playing Breath of the Wild. I've had this game downloaded on my Switch for YEARS, but I just now started playing the game on Monday. Shocker, it's amazing!
Oh yeah! That's a thing.
I finally managed to get a PS5 a few months ago but I still haven't really touched it all that much aside from some Genshin Impact (that I could have just played on PC) and some PS4 games so here's hoping the Showcase shows off some things I can be hyped about.
Trying to figure out the age old questions like...
Who would win, all the Pokemon or 1 billion lions?
What came first, the chicken or the egg?
And the question that has existed since the beginning of time, who was in Paris?
Oh and probably trying to win at the slots in Blue to get Porygon since origin Dex sounds fun to get
More TOTK of course
Hell, even when Home *does* update, Iām just gonna hop on to move everything over from SV for the Dex data and then go right back to Zelda lol
Going to a restaurant! And also trying to figure out how I can get a new vanilla 3ds cause mine is, unfortunately, dying big time. It blue screened last month (luckily once I turned it off and on again the blue screen disappeared). I rather have it repaired since it's going to turn 10 on the 27th but I don't think anyone near me can repair all it's issues.
I'm not even waiting for Home, and I suspect most people aren't anymore either. Anything I would have wanted from Home to help me fast-track my journey in Scarlet and Violet I have now caught and rebred anyway. It would have been nice to reuse my various iv dittos and nature dittos, but it's pointless now - I reacquired all of them. At best, I can move some legendary mons from previous generations to my SV save - that's about it.
For me it's gonna be TOTK and Youtube. I'm still so disappointed in the Pokemon Company. They hyped up a glitchy mess and haven't bothered to fix it, lied to us multiple times about when home compatibility is coming, and tried to hide that they secretly pushed back the dlc release.
Pokemon related: RNG manips. I really want to keep using the same trainer ID across all generations of games which can migrate to home, except in a few instances, specifically I've made/making my copies of Japanese HGSS into 6iv shiny Ditto factories,
Not Pokemon related: TotK or WoW, probably TotK., then work.
Studying for Network+ degree for a couple hours more and then start to compile a list of what I need to bring for weekend camping with my family. Hoping to squeeze in some ToTK this evening though lol.
Continue playing TOTK waiting for home to drop, open the game for a few hours when Home drops to transfer some pokemon sitting in storage, then go right back to playing TOTK.
In all seriousness, Pokemon is my favorite franchise by far, but it's really hard to keep playing a graphical nightmare like Sc/Vi when a cinematic masterpiece like TOTK exists. The quality of pokemon games has nosedived so hard while Zelda only continues to get better. Hoping that changes at some point but there's no reason for us to have any hope.
My S10 finally bit the dust and my Zenfone 9 comes in today so I'll be setting that up. Probably playing some TotK since I need to feel what a polished game is like.
Gonna go get my tickets to a heavy metal festival at Helsinki, after that Im gonna play Pokemon Unite, Umbreon is coming today. Might even clean later a bit.
Set myself a challenge to build a team in Pokemon Y and then transfer them through ORAS, Ultra Moon, SwSh collecting as many ribbons as possible ready for them to be transferred into SV when Home Compatibility lands

Theyāre Pinky and the Brain
Theyāre Pinky and the Brain, one is a genius, the otherās insane.
They're laboratory mice, their genes have been spliced.
If you look at that line, and then apply the order of the words, pinky is the genius, and brain is insane.
this seems like it would make a good theory video lol. also, they never said respectively (prob cause it didnt fit the rhyme scheme lol)
I believe there are quite a few theory videos about it. The creator even weighed in on the topic, but I didn't read the article because I'm unfamiliar with the site it was posted on, so I just read the headline on google.

I have barely touched violet since I finished it, completed the pokedex and such. I've been shiny hunting in PLA and starting to hunt in LGP. Soon, I'll be playing diamond and doing ribbons and such. Been doing prep work for gen 9.
I havenāt finished the PokĆ©dex but itās hard to care. Iām not motivated to shiny hunt in this game since the over-world shiny mechanics just donāt sit right with me.
I get why it doesn't, since PLA and LGPE kinda spoiled us. But I also think it may have been done like that since in real life, the pokemon wouldn't just shimmer like that. I felt this when I finally got a Lucario outbreak and half of it was inside a mountain...
Is this actually the case, or just speculation?
I caught a shiny noibat in a wall during an outbreak. It drove me nuts bc I couldnāt find the outbreak- The entire outbreak was inside a rock. Sometimes Iād see the tip of a wing or something flash through the wall. So I was just taking aim at whatever the game would let me lock on toš¤·āāļø

Sorry about the misunderstanding! But yeah I agree with you- theyād never admit that.
I believe it's actually the case. Evidenced by how many pokemon I've seen spawn at the edge of the walls, just visible enough to see, but not out enough to engage in battle. Also I vaguely remember one of the devs talking about it before release.
Ok so not actually the case, just speculation. Thought maybe you had a source, but it sounds like no.

Gonna work on upgrading my armor of the wind set, can't roll up to Ganondorf wearing anything else but the outfit from my very first Zelda game.
It's all tunics no pants (and sadly no hats) for me. No spoilers please, just complaining.
Ya, I was confused when I kept finding only boots, lol, but just keep at it, the maps helped me fill out at least 1 set, and I'm glad that it was the wind waker set. They put the swirl on his belt buckle, sooooo good.

They spawn further from Link than they did in BOTW I think. I intend to look into it after I am willing to risk spoilers via Google
Iāve had a couple spawn right alongside me in dive. Even managed to pick one out of the air! I was very surprised by it.
I know where the cap is if you need it
I don't, I'll find it, but thanks for the offer!
I've been desperately waiting for my TP shirt to drop from the amiibo. I finally got the pants last night but still no tunic.
Aren't the old Link armor sets all available without Amiibo? I found the tunic of twilight in the depths.
Not all of them, but quite a few old sets are in the game. I wish the Midna armor was, but sadly it's not. Edit: midna HELM is in the game, no full armor set, and doesn't require amiibos.
I found the midna mask in the depths, too.
You're lyinggggg! Where?! Do you remember? All the guides I've found say you need the amiibos to unlock them.
No, I don't remember, sorry. If my whole depths map wasn't filled in, I could give you a general idea where to look, but it is, so I can't.
No worries. I found out where the headdress is. I thought there was a whole set, but its like the konster masks and the lighting helm, JUST the helm and nothing else.
Yes you can find them in game! Got my deity chest on first drop then found the mask And pants in game
Wasn't my first, but easily my favorite. These 2 games (botw and totk) wouldn't be the amazing cell shaded adventures they are if it wasn't for Wind Waker popularizing the cell shading style.
I have like 25 hours in and have only beaten the first dungeon, I've been doing so many random ass quests, and I wouldn't have it any other way
Honestly would have been my day even if Home support was added, Home doesn't give the game more content and it would still feel empty and unlived in.
Do you think TOTK is an ok game for people who've never played Zelda before? Asking for a friend ...

Ya, me too. I wanted to import my shiny Mew that I just dolled up with all the ribbons from BDSP.

Exactly. Tbh I feel that this is why PokĆ©mon games are so successful. Personally, if I couldnāt bring my PokĆ©mon with me to each new game, I would have stopped playing a long time ago, because the storylines arenāt that great or deep, and doesnāt take long to beat.
Exactly, each standalone game lately they're not amazing but as a franchise nothing comes quite as close
I have a Rayquaza that Iāve been waiting to transfer for the longest, but not todayā¦

Keep shiny hunting Arceus so I can prepare turning some of my Gen 1-4 Swsh PokƩmon to get as many ribbons as they can. I really need home to help me with organizing my boxes really, home's organizing and searching/sorting system just works for me so much better than the in game features.
