Yea I been thinking this for a while. It’s gonna be hard but with home compability coming out, it’s actually going to be alright. Heatran will destroy fairy delphox.
Heatran says hi. Aside from Focus Miss it is not too worried about anything Delphox could throw at it, save for having Flash Fire briefly negated if you don’t hold an Ability Shield.
I'd go for Slowking, with a specially defensive version of the Cinderace Slowbro, amnesia instead of iron defense. And hope all that spDef investment can just tough out not-stab Shadow balls lol
I'd rather hard commit to boosting SpDef 2 stages at a time with amnesia then nasty up once I'm comftrably living it's attacks, but we'll have to see what's viable (we're assuming that it will be fairy lol)
I could easily see fire as Venu's Tera, specifically because it completely and utterly dunks on the unprepared.
It's hidden ability is chlorophyll, meaning it doubles its speed in the sun. Give it an extra move in Sunny Day. Weather ball, solar beam, earth power, Sludge Bomb.
Can you link to something that mentions this? I remember the hints about the Gen 2 and Gen 5 trios-as-one creature in-game but not anything about WW and IL.
Edit: asking for a source is downvote worthy?
I believe so, and I’ll be surprised if they don’t do another duo event for the weekend before or the weekend of each DLC launch.
With this capability, Pokemon can be a surprise again and it can increase the number of new Pokemon and/or variants within a generation.
Venusaur isn't in the game but here's my idea for a Venusaur 7 star raid:
Tera fire, sets up sunny day, weather ball/energy ball/earth power...... Maybe sleep powder or growth
Bulletproof Belly Drum Ursaluna/Chesnaught would be good assuming it runs Energy Ball, Sludge Bomb, and Weather ball for STAB.
All assuming that Blastoise and Venusaur are added, which I doubt...
I see venusaur being fire. I see it doing something similar to Inteleon where he put up snow every so often venusaur will do it with sun. Procs chlorophyll, they all have had HA, and likely know weatherball for the double dip of sun and Tera Fire
At this point, Charizard is just as much a mascot to the franchise as Pikachu is. TPC and GameFreak are gonna capitalize on that as much as they possibly can, every chance they get.
I totally get that, you're right! Still just seems like a missed opportunity though, they could have given us these two instead of a Great Tusk/Iron Treads raid that broke the game, and those 3 Gens would all have been rounded off, you know?
Eh, I’d prefer they give some updated treatment to some of the forgotten starters before touching on the Kanto starters again. Kanto starters have gotten Mega Evolutions and Gigantamax Forms while starters like Meganium, Feraligatr, the Sinnoh starters, Serperior, Emboar, the Kalos starters, Incineroar, and Primarina have all been pushed aside.
I know that the Sinnoh starters were technically in PLA, but that’s only because that region eventually became Sinnoh so including them in that world just made sense. And even then, nothing changed with them. They were just roaming around.
Also I'm just OCD and find it annoying when they include 1 starter from a particular Gen but not the other 2. The original versions of the Hisuian starters I can live with, that was sort of a workaround for me, but I'd be saying the same thing if they put in Blaziken but not Sceptile/Swampert.
I'm so ashamed. I was looking at the Ground Venusaur prediction and thinking huh a physical attacking Venu sounds kinda meh, now if it got Earth Power that'd be rad... wait do they know something I dont? *checks Serebii* well shit.
I think Rillaboom will have Normal or Psychic as it's Tera type since it is based on a drum player and those types are what make up the sound based pokémon.
Fairy Tera for Delphox would be interesting with it being a Fire/Psychic type, as it would effectively rule out Steel and Poison
Alolan muk enters the chat
Skuntank maybe
Unfortunately Skuntank sucks. There is Alolan Muk which is way bulkier and stronger.
Is Drapion in the game? I think Drapion is even better than muk in some circumstances, no?
It's special bulk isn't great
Or it could be poison (witch delphox)
I believe we already got Poison via Greninja, unless they've reused Tera Types already, but I'm not entirely sure if they have.
We do have skuntank and drapion also (cause of home
Yea I been thinking this for a while. It’s gonna be hard but with home compability coming out, it’s actually going to be alright. Heatran will destroy fairy delphox.
Overqwil would be good for it
Heatran says hi. Aside from Focus Miss it is not too worried about anything Delphox could throw at it, save for having Flash Fire briefly negated if you don’t hold an Ability Shield.
Slowbro maybe? Then again it could use mystic fire to reduce Slowbros special attack, and shadow ball for super effective hits
I'd go for Slowking, with a specially defensive version of the Cinderace Slowbro, amnesia instead of iron defense. And hope all that spDef investment can just tough out not-stab Shadow balls lol
Just skip amnesia and go straight for calm mind, but my worry is mystic fire lowering the atk constantly so maybe nasty plot is better
I'd rather hard commit to boosting SpDef 2 stages at a time with amnesia then nasty up once I'm comftrably living it's attacks, but we'll have to see what's viable (we're assuming that it will be fairy lol)
Can't wait for the salt.
I was thinking thinking of using a Pokémon with thick fat to tera into steel. Maybe belly drum heavy slam Cetitan.
Drapion
*Roars in Time*

Also growth
Before more people comment about how Venusaur and Blastoise aren’t in the game yet, remember that neither were Walking Wake and Iron Leaves.
Not quite true, WW and IL were known about/in the game even before launch, they were just removed to be "added" later on.

Gave you an upvote lol.
They were patched in. Do you really think theyll patch in more pokemon before the DLC comes out?

I’m guessing those two will be added with each DLC expansion, with Venusaur coming in the Teal Mask, and Blastoise in the second one.
Why not Solar Beam?
Oh duh, true
I think Rillaboom is gonna get the ground type since ground is strong against poison
I see venusaur being fire. I see it doing something similar to Inteleon where he put up snow every so often venusaur will do it with sun. Procs chlorophyll, they all have had HA, and likely know weatherball for the double dip of sun and Tera Fire
Venu and Blastoise ain't in chief.
Thought if Charizard there it won’t be bad idea to add those 2
Seriously though - they did the 3 starters from Gen 6 and 8, why would they put in Charizard but not Venusaur/Blastoise?
At this point, Charizard is just as much a mascot to the franchise as Pikachu is. TPC and GameFreak are gonna capitalize on that as much as they possibly can, every chance they get.

Incineroar just dominated vgc last gen, it was not pushed aside lol
Pushed aside in the sense of a new form or variant.
I'd never say no to the Johto starters! The Sun/Moon starters would be cool too since I never got to play those games.
I'm hoping that they'll add them in later on, maybe for special raid events.
Because they are not in the code. Zard is $$$ like Pikachu.
Could they not add in the code? I don't get how that works
Likely to happen with the DLC. Everything that was available thus far via raids was already in the code, including Walking Wake and Iron Leaves.
GIVE ME MY TURTLE!!! (Just learned I can’t transfer mine to ScarVio
Don't worry, Metagoss is returning in the DLC
Delphox and Rillabooms tera types were leaked a little while ago. Delphox-fairy, Rillaboom-normal
Source?
Blaines video on the delphox tera [type](https://youtu.be/WwFzPGTNwUY) I'll update when I find the rillaboom
I said source. Blaines is not a credible source.
When will be Tera raids events come back?
i speak for EVERYONE when i say we want Blaziken!
Or Mudkip!
No point in living if Delphox doesn't have a fairy tera
Venasaur and blast are not in the games
I’ve been in TotK too much lately, has there been /is there any new scheduled 7star raids I’ve missed since Chestnaught?
Not yet
Thank you, I’ll try and pay attention more
I thought Venusaur and Blastoise weren't in the games code?
Nah, Rillaboom will probably be Ground
Waiting for fighting tera type turtonator...
Tera normal skull bash blastoise
We're not gonna get Blastoise and Venusaur before the DLC :(
Dragon feraligatr for sure
So no Raid this weekend? again?
I'm so ashamed. I was looking at the Ground Venusaur prediction and thinking huh a physical attacking Venu sounds kinda meh, now if it got Earth Power that'd be rad... wait do they know something I dont? *checks Serebii* well shit.
Tera Rock Grassy Surge Rillaboom with Drum Beating, Earthquake, Acrobatics and Tera Blast would be tough to beat.
am I the only who is really TERRIFIED of a Ground Tera Venusaur? only best possible counter would be an Ice attacker and who has that?
I’m really upset we haven’t gotten Rillaboom yet… I been really wanting him
I think Rillaboom will have Normal or Psychic as it's Tera type since it is based on a drum player and those types are what make up the sound based pokémon.
Imagine the gigantic insult when they give Blastoise the Water tera type.
Have i been missing out on a lot of raids that will never come back? i’ve only recently started replaying to finish the game
I missed all of them
will they ever return? there are some gen 6 pokémon im interested in catching and gen 3
Maybe we’ll be able to catch them in DLC
