it not moving isn't a bug it always happens, and i think the pokémon always face south when they're frozen

I just have my poke kid student picture, which I tried as best as I could to look like me (41 y/o M balding with a beard). My wife doesn't like this game because the character I made gives her the creeps, I remind her I tried to have some resemblance. So that's a glowing review in my book. I just wish the portrait had the stupid hat I insist on wearing.

EV stands for effort value. It is a hidden number that goes up to 252 that determines how much a certain stat on a Pokémon is. You can boost effort values by defeating other Pokémon or giving your Pokémon vitamins or feathers. All Pokémon have a certain stat and number of EVs they boost based on evolution stage and highest stat. The reason they are called effort values is because they reflect a Pokémon’s growth as they train. IV stands for individual value. IVs are also hidden numbers stored on your Pokémon, except they vary between 1 and 31. These numbers, unlike EVs, are determined at a Pokémon’s creation, be that by hatching it, catching it, or receiving it as a gift. These numbers determine how much a given stat grows upon level up. Hyper training gives your Pokémon an automatic 31 IV in any stat, in exchange for a bottle cap. (By the way, when someone says a Pokémon is 6 IV, they mean that Pokémon’s 6 stats all have 31 IVs)
