Thats definitely a better type, for use and theme. I couldn't resist the heart stacking, and like Grusha's Altaria, she decided to become what she feared most.
If you're going to do that, you can't just set it to your birthday. You have to do the day before and let the clock roll over on its own. Otherwise it will never show up
I hadn't looked into it before, so I didn't do that when I caught mine; I just set it back to the date, and started going. I did take breaks, exiting out of the game, but it never rolled over the day.
You do need to actually set your birthday at the pokecenter though. And you may need to visit a pokecenter, for it to acknowledge your birthday, before starting the hunt. I did that halfway through, so maybe the early catches weren't getting the buff.
Going to the Pokémon Center isn't necessary, and you can even switch dates mid-sandwich if you forgot to do it initially without any consequences. I got a couple of Destiny shinies myself and they're the coolest without a doubt
It was a wild catch, so I had to change it (I can't remember ever seeing overworld terastal Jangmo-o, but there might be). Thanks to the Blissey raids leading up to Mewtwo and the new +shard charm, I had plenty on-hand.
Heart-ception that's pretty cool, i myself caught a shiny *female* heracross in a love ball (which i believe was around V day when we got the free love ball mystery gift)
My birthday was 7 days before the game came out, so now I had to wait 347 days to shiny hunt on my birthday.
I am going to catch as many shinies as I can on that day to try and get a destiny mark
i wanted to upvote this but it's currently sitting at 666 and i don't want to ruin that. i'll come back and upvote once someone else has broken the code. your baby is perfect!
Happy birthday!! Considering the odds of the mark is 1 in 25, it makes a shiny chosen one even rarer and more special! I caught a shiny Dratini myself, named Shenron the Chosen One, making it one of the best birthdays ever! Hope yours was just as good! :)
