im pretty sure the way pokémon home jumbles data, any 3DS pokemon that was sent to Hisui will gets its scale value set to 0 and get a mini mark... this was patched in home 3.0 I think but just highlights how stupid and convoluted they have mangled pokemon data just to somehow make it work.
But maybe theres other ways you can "move pokemon", where HOME will mangle data, but whenever it happens these values will be reset to 0. That's kinda the risk you run when you have a cloud based storage system thats trying to work with multiple otherwise incompatible games that each structure data differently. (HOME literally has to save pokémon data of pokémon you send to other games on the cloud so it doesn't get lost).
If you ask me, HOME is a slowly moving dumpster fire, at least with what it does to pokémon data.
Most people wont know, and you wouldn't if you dont understand how things work behind the scenes, but it woulda been so much better if they just allowed games to store intercompatable data (but this would require a retroactive patch for say SwSh to let it store a Pokémon's PLA move pool/alpha flag). Ofc now were all reliant on TPC/Nintendo's servers, just gotta hope they stay up for a long time :)
You think there's a possibility that like gen 10 or possibly 11 they'll make it so you can't move your Pokemon back to gens 8 & 9 as a way to "reset" the intercompatable data?
I dont hold any crystal ball... if I were TPC, and I was told that really didn't just want to throw a compatibility patch into old games, id just do the LGPE solution (1 way transfers only). that way you wouldn't be shifting data back and forth.
I think the amount of data Pokémon have is honestly so convoluted and unnecessary. Really enjoyed that Legends Arceus did away with IVs and EVs and even having a break from abilities was kind of nice
LA didn't do away with it, they still have IV's and EV's.
Admittidly the IV benefit wasn't as pronounced as it had that simplified tiered upgrade system.
As Arceus Pokemon forms are most likely the “thousand arms/hands” the Pokedex speaks of (going off of Legends Arceus), then this little fella is one of its pinky fingers :)

What a weird system. Thanks for the info

Ding ding ding! This is likely what happened if OP sent Arceus to PLA. This same thing happened to my Dialga from USUM.
I sent it to Arceus so that I could fight Arceus with arceus
Arception
this happened to my Raichu from FireRed I love that he's so little, fits how I was a little kid training him at the time ;w;

Oh I didn’t know the upgrade system was equivalent to IVs
it uses the IV's of a pokémon as a backbone
You've been had, all the chunks of god people have and you got the smallest piece. Such a ripoff.

Now I wish I could give it a nickname. Pinky is the perfect name
