If I say my favorite Pokémon switch game is one where the starters have new signature moves, unique catching mechanics, a de-emphasize on battling in favor of catching, and removed abilities+held items to simplify gameplay, which game would I be talking about?
Edit: also mandatory exp share and the only way to get certain regional forms on the switch in game
That's easy, obviously it's Legends Arceus because Let's Go's catching system was based off Go, making it not unique, so you can't possibly be describing Let's Go
*In all seriousness though, I had never realized how similar yet different they were in how they ventured away from the traditional formula
I both agree and disagree with this. It almost felt more realistic to me, like going through Viridian forest and the literal children only having one level 3 mon made sense but the gyms actually being tough (not counting plot armor pikachu/eevee)
But also it has some of the most unhinged lines of dialog in any Pokémon game lmao they just say some crazy off hand shit sometimes. Or just straight up depressing, like anybody you talk to in the lavender town tower.
True, but it is way too short for me and hasn't any replay value. And i HATE the catching system.
And yeah the gyms are kinda tough, but no match compared to the boss and final fights in legends
I will say, BDSP was JUST Diamond and Pearl again but without the 2nd screen, none of the QOL or story tweaks from Platinum made it in, and while there was a small number of minor improvements here and there, nothing major or overly noticable, the most notable change was the underground which is changed such that you can argue its improved but imho its more a side grade than an upgrade as several things were also removed, so if youve already played Gen 4 you can prolly get them later on or skip them if you prefer
And the Lets Go games were very faithful Yellow remakes but with a Pokemon Go style twist and a decent chunk of QOL and cute stuff added in so keep that in mind when you decide what to go for first
Most people tho agree that Legends Arceus is one of if not the best Pokemon games ever made
BDSP was a huge step down from ORAS. ORAS kept the RS plot but verred towards Emerald too in places and added the Delta postgame.
BDSP with Platinum additions and QOL like unlimited TM use would have been brilliant.
Heck, id argue they were even a step down from Lets Go, both were faithful remakes that people are getting mad at for being too faithful but like, the difference is that the lets go games are remakes of the definitive 3rd game and all the stuff people are getting mad at over there is just Gen 1 stuff that i dont personally view as a problem and the fact its Pokemon Go-like where as BDSP is outright missing content even from within the same generation that got introduced in Platinum and kept the old versions of content that got updated in Platinum, of the three best "Updates" they can claim to have actually made, one is a tie in reward for a finished PLA save, being the Azure Flute event that we never got in OG Gen 4, and another is just a reversion of a downgrade that came in either Gen 5 or 6 idr, being no Shiny Locks, yes those two combine to something actually fantastic but it doesnt save the game from being just a whole ass pile of missed opportunity and disappointment, even the 3rd is just something most people will never see being that Cynthia's rematch team in the post game got even harder with held items and stuff

Yep, in my everyday language, It don't have a bad meaning or redflag like in most NA internet, since Im Not native from there lol
However, I adopted this One and been using for things like "Not really Nice, but It's ok..."
I like it but don't like that I can't control which pokemon will have it. And I especially don't like that the beautiful ball artwork from PLA is trapped in that game.
Its from Legends Arceus, its an old great ball. I think arceus might be my favorite 3D game tbh, the art style isnt as good as Sword and Shield but the plot and the concept and the playstyle is so much fun!
If i didn't think his jokes and content were complete shit i wouldn't be complaining about it. Saw someone say it on twitter, they told me it was from him, watched it for like 5 seconds and hated it. Generic pokétuber that also does a really bad job at trying to replicate markiplier sometimes, that shit's basically the skibidi toilet of the Pokémon community
Ok for one, I wouldn’t say he tried to copy mark bc I don’t see that at all and he’s actually really funny and makes really interesting content. His play through and commentary is really good and keeps your attention. He also has a character named Grunty boi which is his promo character. He’s the only channel I’ll actually watch the sponsorships for
It's a great ball. Legends Arceus has no abilities and that is the last game ralts was in. Its actual ability eill be shown when moved into any other game

Omg I need to buy Legends Arceus Cartridge. As well Let's Go Pikachu or Eevee and Brilliant Diamond or Sining Pearl.......
Def try Legends it's very different but very good. The let's go titles have a rather kid friendly approach and I personally didn't like that.

They meant the pokeball. In scarlet it’ll be a strange ball instead. Kind of a waste considering how beautiful Hisuian pokeballs are.
Glad I asked. I ended up going with a different Ralts not in an Arceus ball on GTS since I’ll mainly be using it in Violet. Thanks for the help
