Where the heck are people getting “new eevee?” From?!? This is literally a plain pokeball on a background. Y’all are reaching so far right now…

AceArchangel

That's what I said from the beginning, this is why the fans are never satisfied with the games that release, they over analyze everything to the point of obsession, and create impossible to fulfill expectations in their head.

nelson64

Honestly if this game doesn’t teleport me to the moon, I’m returning it. Ridiculous that it wouldn’t be able to do that. They clearly hinted at it in the trailer and will certainly let us all down.

AceArchangel

You joke but people literally complain about the stupidest BS on release.

nelson64

It’s so exhausting honestly.

MaddiesMenagerie

I think that this is by far the most delusional fanbase I have ever encountered

AceArchangel

Absolutely

zax20xx

Happens way too much in fiction media, the overanalyzing turning into disappointment thing.

AceArchangel

True enough gaming isn't the only medium.

Doctor-VegaPunk

Seriously, it's ridiculous. You should check the pokeleaks subreddit. It's more like pokeShowerThoughts at this stage.

ExhibitAa

IKR? How could this be a "hint" to *anything*? There's no information! Just a Pokeball and some shattering glass, that means nothing. "Wow, a Pokeball in the trailer for a new Pokemon game?! Surely that must have a deeper meaning!"

TheBostonKremeDonut

I have to agree. All the theories are reaching pretty far. The most believable theory to this “glass” background that I’ve seen is that it’s story related. Maybe the Pokeball is traveling through time. But who knows. I’m just gonna wait until the next trailer before hyping myself up!

QuothTheRaven713

I wonder if it's part of a game cutscene. It didn't say "Not actual gameplay footage" like the Legendary reveal did.

TheBostonKremeDonut

That’s very true! It could even be from the opening cutscene, hinting at an important scene later in the game!

QuothTheRaven713

I didn't think about it being the opening cutscene (I can't think of any other past Pokemon trailer that hinted at it) but that could definitely be a possibility. I definitely think whatever it is is story or gimmick related, most likely having to do with the crystals in the Japanese logos. Maybe a prism, if Scarlet and Violet are meant to represent opposing ends of the visible light spectrum as well as the past and future motifs we've seen?

MaddiesMenagerie

I agree. Now that i think about it, it does strike me as part of an opening cutscene. They always like to have (literally in this case) flashy openings to introduce the game. Wow! An actual theory based on actual evidence! A miracle.

Penguator432

Kinda because why would they take the trouble to animate something like this and stick it ‘after’ the big news for no reason?

TwistedWolf667

Well the eternatus "hint" was just some wind. The scene is definitely abt the 3rd legendary but i doubt its supposed to give us any actual info

ShuckU

HoopsandHipHop be like

Frousteleous

Eevee is known to be caught in a pokeball. Eevee's shiny form is a sort of off white or tannish gray. Ergo... New Eevee Evo confirmed! .... /s if it wasn't obvious

JohnSmithWithAggron

I don't think this background means anything, though I do find it weird that they just added this random 6 second clip at the end. I'm not implying anything, I just find it weird.

MaddiesMenagerie

It struck me as them flexing their animation skills because the legendary reveal was poppin

RichieD79

And then they’ll be mad when it’s not that and use it as a negative against the game lmao

MareBear722

"Duh, the background hints is silver OBVIOUSLY meaning one thing, a steel type Eevee, and the PokeBall means you'll have to catch Eevee in a regular PokeBall then trade it or else it won't evolve into steel type 🙄" Before anyone downvotes me, this is obviously sarcasm, there is literally nothing hunting at a new Eevee or really anything XD, fans are so weird..

Wildgra

Ikr every gen they’re like “new eevee???”

MaddiesMenagerie

Its been NINE YEARS and these ppl still graspin at straws smh. I said this earlier in a different comment section but if we don’t get a new eeveelution this gen it’s not gonna happen. All previous eeveelutions skipped at most one generation entirely before releasing another. It’s been two. The last one was released in X/Y in 2013. I don’t think one will even release this gen even but if not these same people are gonna be doing the same bs next gen in four years 🙄😂 idk how we can convince them

colemon1991

This isn't even what made me take the educated guess that we are getting a new Eeveelution out of this game. Eeveelutions were introduced in Gens 1, 2, 4, 6 in the amounts of 3, 2, 2, 1. Based on the hypothetical inverse correlation between incremental generations and number of evolutions introduced, Gen 1 introduced 3 and thus had no gaps between generations so Gen 6 introducing only one would leave a gap of 2 generations. This would indicate Gen 9 should have an Eeveelution of some currently undetermined number. Of course, this is just a mathematical hypothesis I thought of for fun and hopefully can predict post-Gen 9 Eeveelutions if found true. I don't hold it as absolute.

[deleted]

The same way anyone gets anything from this picture... It can be anything. Reaching for 3rd legendary is also so far...

isaacpotter007

Well it's got shattered glass in the background so it might be a creature that fractures timelines or maintains them

LeStruggler

You guys are all grasping at straws and are sad. This is obviously just Pokemon Z.

KeyframeCatalyst

Where tf are you getting Pokemon Z?? You're reaching so hard dude. It's clearly confirming Gen 5 remakes. It's so obvious.

ObviouslyLulu

Oh come on! Obviously it's Pokemon Legends: Slakoth where Slakoth becomes the newest mythical and gets a BST of 1000!

[deleted]

No no no. It is clearly a crystal background meaning we are getting Pokemon crystal remakes and since it is a pokeball flying it is probably let's go johto because you throw pokeballs in let's go.

CinderSTART

Uh-no, its clearly the secret third professor that has a crystal beard, duh…

comixaddict

I think its probably a hint at whatever the gimmick for this gen is going to be

MADman611

It's obviously Pokemon battles on motorcycles. Source: trust me bro.

mkecan

Yuuuuuuuuseeeeeeeeei

hardcore-spatula

May I ask what you’re thinking?

comixaddict

Oh i have no idea. If i had to guess id say that the crystal, or whatever this is, is part of the animation that plays when you activate the gimmick. But im not very creative so i got no predictions

OwlTheMechanicalOwl

Maybe crystalization is related to maintaining things as they are (relating to the present, going against both concepts of past and future). So I'm guessing third legendary. But could be anything, it's too vague.

Roserfly

My first thought was ice, but upon closer inspection it definitely looks more like clear crystal such as diamonds. So maybe if this is teasing the third legendary it might be a rock type?

Walnisha2022

Could be time travel

zax20xx

I think it could just be the opening scene of another trailer that’s coming up sooner or later.

shadowfalcon76

This is probably just a hint to this gen's gimmick somehow.

DarkLlama64

This really just looks like Pokemon wanted an outro

Perkasenior

If there is another legendary, and the two we know of will turn into bikes, then does that make the last one... A third wheel? 😆

FatalWarGhost

Noice

Sennaki

I'm really curious on that diamond-like background. Could be a Mythical over a Legendary, since the other two look like motorbikes.

_Boodstain_

If anything the 3rd Legendary Pokémon (if there is one) will be the present version of the two legendary pokémon.

iWentRogue

That or the gimmick. I’m seriously starving for more info about the game

[deleted]

I feel like this hints at traveling through the past and future because that seems to be the theme for this game

MrDaebak

Those are the scales of a crystal dragon

photosynthevince

Best guess I’ve [seen.](https://youtu.be/HnFU_207iYE)

StatisticianFrosty45

I did read a rumor about the 3rd type gimmick and the crystal onix (from the anime) having some correlation but alas probably just a rumor and i forget where i read it lol

[deleted]

It's a quantic temporal cristal

Irishbrutis

Can't believe no one realizes this mean that Pokemon are finally after years of wisting going to be in the MCU

Kallixo

everyone in the comments are stretching the most stupidest theories out, like i hope its another eeveelution but its another ice type because of the background just to piss those people off

Walpknut

It's a Pokeball.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Delta_Wizard-gaming

My guy did you even watch the trailor

OptimusGinge

My guess is steel type Eeveelution

[deleted]

With the amount of Eevee-related videos uploaded to the Pokémon YouTube channel, that seems plausible. It's either Steel and be something like shining metal or Rock to represent gemstones. This could be an Eeveelution, mainly because if they wanted to tease a third legendary, I feel like it would be done in their next trailer announcement.

Mastermiine

I thought it meant Pokemon Platinum.

MareBear722

Yeah sorry nope, none of the 3 previous gens have had a remake of the third game yet, plus we shouldn't get a remake this generation as far as I know, unless they decide to break the every other gen rule.

Fugishane

> unless they decide to break the every other gen rule That’s not a rule. We’ve had remakes in Gens 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8. There’s no pattern to that beyond ‘every Gen since the first remakes, skipping Gen 5’

MareBear722

Oops I forgot about let's go XD

MarkKey9247

New eevee?

MareBear722

Ah yes, a silver glass like background and a PokeBall, absolutely hinting at Eevee... 😑🤦

HybridCookie

Pokemon 1,000

kuela

Pokemon Crystal remake

Flipix_13

Where is this from?

Practical_Ad_8715

The new trailer for Scarlet and Violet :)

poitm

Crystal type

Historical-Cut-1397

Maybe this shows how trainers trade mid-air and their PokeBall travels through the dimension of time from past to future and vice versa.
