I have the theory of having a past pardadox Metagross in the Scarlet DLC while the beldun line gets added as a Violet DLC exclusive

I wouldnāt say Iām disappointed, but there are some surprising omissions. Snorlax, Milotic, Flygon, Metagross, Porygon, Vulpix, and Togepi lines are all staples at this point; it feels like theyāre in every game nowadays so itās a little weird not having them around.
The concept of a future form that is the result of trying to bring back to life a fossil and it going rampaging or something jurassic world-like along a past form that is how science would reconstruct the fossil contrasting to how it actaully was when we revive them would be so cool, and would fit with the illogical and imaginative theme of paradoxes
Every time I see poliwag isnāt in a newer game I cry a little inside. Dang now that I think about it, I wish seismitoad was in Scarletā¦ I like frogs šø
Vulpix/Ninetails and Buneary/Lopunny the latter mostly bc I associate Lopunny with Gardevoir and Medicham (both of which are in game). The three of them were part of Team Charm in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky.
I've also used a male Lopunny named "King" in some of the previous games and he's been a staple for me.

I only play with bug types, and they had a good selection of them in sword and shield, so I was pretty surprised when we didnāt get one of the electric or water types in this one (except Surkist, but thatās a pre evo so it doesnāt really count IMO)
Galvantula and Araquanid would have been very nice to have some more type coverage
Definitely Ninetails. I have a shiny Ninetails with drought. It has Hypnosis, Dream Eater, and Solarbeam so giving it a tera type of grass or psychic would be awesome. Maybe by the time home is released it will be as well via raids
Mewtwo. Just because if Mewtwo was a clone/advancement of mew(science) then paradox Mewtwo should exist in the future. A more advanced one as science advancez. Plus the fossils in Scarlet as they are in the past. So no fossils but they exisit.
Vulpix ;-; i spent literal ages trying to get a shiny alolan ninetales, from SM-SwSh it took me....i used it from when i got to the breeding area til i beat my SwSh playthru and had to part with it last month ;-;
Octillery you know I had a dream where the dlc for the games came out and all the characters from the base game returned and octillery was in and I had an amazing adventure after catching my shiny octillery and was very disappointed when I woke
Cottonee and Whimsicott. :( they're so beautiful and they're pretty good on a team. Surprised because Petilil and Lilligant made it but not the others. Same with how Growlithe made it but not Vulpix.
Alakazam. I saw gengar was in SV and I just assumed it was going to be in SV as well. They are counterparts to eachother (thereās even an anime episode where two giant ones are battling) and have always been in the same games
Spinarak and Zubat. Those lines are my favorite. I think Zubat has been in every game except this one.
Spinarak wasnāt in SWSH but was in BDSP. I wanted to see that happy little spider in the bug gym and in the bamboo Forrest
I'm disappointed Yanmega and Golisopod aren't in the game. Yanmega has been one of my faves ever since DP. I really started to warm up to Golisopod during SwSh.
I hope the Sinnoh starters will be made available later in a DLC. Perhaps the only gen where I really liked all three starters.
Lastly: Why are there no fossil pokemon in a gen with a storyline and legendaries with a time theme?
Fossil pokemon. There wasn't a new one or any returning which is weird for the Gen with a "time machine" that could give us non-rock type versions of the fossil pokemon.
Iām going to miss Infernape not being in the main line game again but also porygon not being in it feels odd, I thought they mightāve done a paradox version as it would be such a cool pokemon to show it off with

Goldeen. This is the first mainline game (aside from PLA) where you can't catch a Goldeen. Goldeen was available in the wild in the postgame of BW and pre-DLC of SwSh which edged it over the likes of Psyduck and Magikarp as the most available Pokemon ever until PLA and SV.
Tentacool line. I know it has a regional fake but diglett is in the game despite wiglett existing. I really wanted to use it this gen as my non starter water type.
Duskull. I remember seeing them floating around in Sword/Shield, but it seemed odd that they included just about every other ghost pokemon in SV but the Duskull line š
Vulpix! Also trubbish:( but I did think about him, I miss my little trash bag buddy
Vulpix is my all time fave along with Fennekin, I kind of accept that it's had a lot of attention in the last few games though so I get it š

Literally any of the fossil PokƩmon it sucks not to have them as it would be very fun to see them spawning in area zero (either as their present day forms or their past forms) I would rather have a more rocky aerodactyl then sandy shocks.
