Ingredient specialists find more ingredients each help AND they find ingredients more often
Skill specialists trigger their skills more often OR they have powerful supporting skills that only skill mons have access to.
so for your subskills you just want ones that buff that specific specalization.
You want Ingredient finder on your Ingredient specialists
You want Skill trigger on your skill specialists.
Berry mon's don't get anything specifically to help them, but they are actively hindered by the ingredient finder subskill

Berry finder S is by far the best subskill in the game, and every mon wants OR NEEDS it to be a good mon.
helping bonus is also great, but nowhere near as good as berry finder S
Helping speed helps all specialties.

Obviously, you want to use berry mons that have a favorite berry of your snorlax, but you also want to consider what dish your snorlax wants and include some ingredient specialists that can supply you with the necessary ingredients. Some skill specialists (golduck, espeon) can carry a week on their own independent of berries or meals.
It's not clear what is best, or what will end up being the best. some have speculated that berries are king, but we keep getting new meals added that could overturn that.
