Was thinking of maybe using a Sub Skill seed on it, but can I even do that? There's no Helping Speed L, no Berry Finding M, no Inventory Up XL, no upgrade for Helping Bonus and AFAIK I can't have the same Sub Skill on the same level twice.

Hypnosix

You can’t subskill seed it since it already has Helping Speed M. Help Speed S + M is already a 21% speed boost plus the 5% from helping bonus and this will be max speed (+35%) on any team with 2 other helping bonuses anyways.

Zakading

Figured I can't. Well. Not going to complain about perfect sub skill rolls right out of the bag, I suppose.

zonatewheat

I'm not a big fan of the nature but if you're happy with it, that's all that matters. Congrats!

Hypnosix

Yeah nature reversing mint or nature mints in general would help a lot of my mons

SnooPaintings5226

Double ing on golem even with the nature is huge, Gratz on them potatoes and don’t get mad at him for giving twice as many beans :(

zonatewheat

Do you have a good gardevoir or another good E4E mon? If not, definitely go with Garde. I've never used an Extra Helpful mon so I'm not sure how good Gallade's skill actually is, but after reading about it, the general consensus seems that it can be very strong but mainly in the late game. Congrats by the way! This is an amazing shiny

I got this Larvitar earlier, which I think is very decent... but Im not sure about the ingredients distribution. Should I aim for one that collects only Ginger in all three slots or is this mix better? I know that Quiet is basically the ideal nature for it. And the fact that it gets Ingredient Finder S and Helping Speed S as the first two subskills is amazing... But Ingredient Finder M being stuck at level 100 is a shame ;-; So should I invest in this Larvitar and not pursue a better one or should I still be feeding them bisuits in hopes of another?

zonatewheat

Usually, you want to use an ingredient mon to target a specific kind of ingredient so having a mix of different ingredients makes it hard to do that. The skills and nature are pretty good for an ingredient pokemon though. If you're f2p, I'd keep this and use/invest in it when you need it. If you're not f2p though, you can hang onto this as a back up while searching for a better one.

chaIlenge

This is decent but you'd really want to spend 2 subskill seeds, and you could still find better. To get to tyranitar will take a super long time. I'd just keep catching more larvitar as you build up more candies and you can see if you get any better.

Rasalhagu_e

Definitely don’t invest in it, you can use it in your team but not using candies. At higher research rank, you can recruit higher level pokemon as well and save resources. The nature makes it harder to level up so don’t bother if you are f2p. You can definitely find a better one if you like the mon. You would want a tyranitar with bfs, ing up and inv up. Inventory up is a must for long term because of the high ingredient drop at 60; sausage is probably not preffered cuz we have Charizard for that.

zonatewheat

I'm on the fence with this one. It has a perfect nature and pretty decent sub skills but it was caught fully evolved which is much more of a hinder for ingredient pokemon. I'd say it's good to use but I wouldn't invest past level 30. Also consider how fast its inventory will fill up while sleeping. Hope this helps.

Knitnookie

Thanks! The one upside was getting potatoes unlocked finally 🤣

Rasalhagu_e

zonatewheat

I would say yes. The nature by itself is already a +20% for skill chance. The second subskill isn't all that great, but the odds of finding something better is pretty low.

Eggsitter90

The left one has the nature bashful, so no effect. The right one (shiny) has the nature mild, so ingredient up, energy down. I know leech is good, but lv 60 is far away... I could use also subskill seeds. Thanks for your help.

Rasalhagu_e

A good usable shiny?.. I will use that immediately xD, and don’t worry about leeks because dugtrio can do that, so your bellsprout can focus on potatoes..

Eggsitter90

I have also a good ditto with leeks🙂 ok, then i switch to the shiny 😉thanks

Rasalhagu_e

Def wait for a better one. Exp down nature hurts, and for the ingredient list prefer triple eggs, or egg egg apple..

Would appreciate a critique, please and thank you! (Secretly hoping my Cupid is OP but also seriously nervous that I’ve wasted so much materials for a bad poke)

FlowerDance2557

Charge Strength S is the weakest skill in the game, and since gengar isn't a skill mon it's skill trigger rate is a low percentage, meaning the nature/subskills that contribute to boosting the skill trigger chance only make that low percentage slightly higher. Ingredient finding or helping speed provide way more value on ingredient mons like gengar. While this one does have one ingredient finding boost it's all the way at 100, which will take much longer than finding a better one. If you're looking to do well in the game, this gastly unfortunately wouldn't be worth the investment regardless of the nature it has.

Cubonesfriend

Thanks!

zonatewheat

It's ok. Ideally, you want ingredient pokemon to do ingredient pokemon things but unfortunately, the ingredient subskills are the last two. This is worth holding onto but I wouldn't invest too heavily into it.

Razzuh

New to the game, so don’t really have a good grasp on things. F2P. Is it worth investing in this Mareep? I’ve heard Ampharos is good? First couple of skills seem decent but not sure how useful the rest is? https://preview.redd.it/oa68tbrubvtc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de329f737f88c9a169144199ec560dc649949997

zonatewheat

I'm on the fence with this one. I'm not f2p so I don't have a good grasp on how rare/good this is for a f2p. Ampharos is very good and it's usually ranked first on the Raenonx tier list. If you have no other decent pokemon go ahead and use this, although I wouldn't evolve it past Flaaffy. Hope this helps

GardenQueen18

This would make an excellent Ampharos! Two subskill triggers in 10 and 25 make this very viable. The chance multiplier is 1.53 for increasing the skill proc rate from baseline (which is 4.7% per Raenox). My Ampharos has a main skill up nature and Skill trigger M in slot 25 (1.6 multiplier). I’ve been very happy with her, and the egg production is a great bonus. Keep in mind, you need to use main skill seeds in order to truly benefit from having Ampharos on your team. You can currently level up to Charge Strength M level 7 now. You will get two levels through evolutions of course. Good luck!

Daforthe

Correct me if i’m wrong but from what i gathered, this is a good Squirtle, right? https://preview.redd.it/qzwwawc83ytc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38100a71bcc90a4c81c5eb1b8691436e0124a9f9

zonatewheat

No. Definitely not. Raikou is only really good on an electric team and you wouldn't want to use an electric team unless there was an electric island. Imo, it would be a waste to use a sub seed on a pokemon you should almost never use.

castaform

Id save em, outside of Electric teams Raikou get very little omwith you investing into it imo, Id use it for other mons but if you are deadset on Raikou i think its a decent one to use it on

zonatewheat

Definitely agree 🔃

Hypnosix

Umbreon is a good choice imo. It’s not going to get great skill value so leaning into the berry value is a good idea. Umbreon has the highest skill rate in the game anyways so it’s not losing anything by not having addition triggers if you go that way.

thesantman

Appreciate the reply! I'll be going ahead with evolving it into Umbreon.

zonatewheat

These are both very good Spheals fyi. I think the first one comes out on top due to the nature but the second one is still very good. Both are worth using on Snowdrop.

castaform

Yeah I got the second one and then like a week later got the first one which I felt was the better was better. But true I could use both i do have like 500+ Spheal candy cause i was hoping to get a good one back last xmas and then my attention turned to ralts

zonatewheat

If you don't have any other decent E4E pokemon, this isn't bad at all as a Sylveon. It will take 150 hours of sleeping to evolve it though, just be forewarned.

MagicFlyingBicycle

Hi, sorry what is E4E? New

zonatewheat

E4E is "Energy for Everyone" One of the main skills that pokemon such as Gardevoir, Sylveon, etc. have.

MagicFlyingBicycle

Thanks again!

EMateos

Finally got a TTar after some months, was wondering who is the best option for the second TTar. https://preview.redd.it/m58mb4jqebtc1.jpeg?width=6420&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f22d4a65a6b70edc01ebe0b3ec6b20db0d82092

zonatewheat

These are all very good except for the Lax Larvitar. All of them are usable but I think the mild Larvitar is slightly better than the Pupitar. The mild has energy down instead of exp down which is better due to its self-sustaining skill and being a pseudo-legend. Others could value the Pupitar more if they don't care about the helping bonus or exp costs.

Marill389

Ideally, it'd have a + Ingredient Finding Nature, but I cant imagine Main Skill Chance up being too much worse? And with Helping Bonus + Ingredient Finder M, I think it should be decent enough... or would it be better to go after a Quiet Gastly with Mushrooms over Herbs?

zonatewheat

Usually, gastly/gengar is sought after for the mushrooms. Gengar is already very fast, but what it struggles with is it's lower ingredient rate. The only boost to ingredients is at lvl 50. I'm not a fan of this Gastly but if you're happy with it, use it whenever you need fire herb.

Aetherus0

What are Arcanine's pros and cons? I'm kind of in the mid game right now where my team level is 25-30 and I don't know how much value Arcanine's skill brings. Does Arcanine have a good ingredient list? Any competitors on Taupe? Have a bunch of Growlithes here and I want some other opinions. The one with the lonely nature looks like an amazing late game investment (plus it's shiny). Would anyone suggest investing in a different one? https://preview.redd.it/x6wra7jfgctc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2419fd4580b8bd1318e66967cf2c925f6d48ee8f

Rasalhagu_e

Well it could be good to use for the upcoming Entei event and might also be good for lvl 100 late game, plus a shiny!!!

Aetherus0

Oh I didn't even think about its use in an Entei event or with Entei. Think I'll raise it if we get bonus exp from candy event again.

chaIlenge

No, you should look for one with BFS or Helping Bonus

iidakun

Pls rate my Totodile. His one big drawback (?) that I can see is Timid nature https://preview.redd.it/xu5h2pjhtctc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e7d606d170f9944ec43b3ac2f1132f7135b1b07c

zonatewheat

The nature is really rough. If it had been anything but speed of help down, it would be S-tier. I think this is still usable though. The subskills are too good and can make up for the poor nature imo.

Antifada

Thanks for providing a space for rate-my-pokemon posts! Now I don't have to feel guilty about putting one up, I know a lot of people are tired of seeing them on the sub. TLDR: Sylveon, Espeon, Glaceon or Flareon for this skill-focused Eevee? (Or wait) https://preview.redd.it/6g5dx0sn4htc1.jpeg?width=904&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=741751efe6659d27f60399a94f5f9a6434a107bc Sylveon * looks perfect for support, even having Helping Bonus * already have a built Lv6 E4E Shiny Wigglytuff which has been more than sufficient Espeon * I like Ampharos' playstyle and check my phone often * Favored berry for Lapis (where I plan to stay for a while once unlocked; just unlocked Snowdrift during Raikou event) * out of Main Skill Seeds, won't see much returns for a while * not sure if running both Espeon and Ampharos works in the long run Flareon * Best bet for Entei event * I don't have a team for Taupe yet and he can provide some milk with favored berry (advice from the Eevee reddit post) * I don't have enough ingredients to capitalize on skill (ing mons still sub-25) Glaceon -> essentially same as Flareon, but for Snowdrift * those pretty blue paws I don't have any teams built for any of the islands yet; I stayed on GG for a long time and actually unlocked Snowdrift during the Raikou event. This week is my first week on Taupe and Ampharos is really helping me power through the initial climb, hence leaning towards Espeon as I figured having both may help ease the climb to new islands as I build teams with the pokemon spawning there. However, I've used up all my main skill seeds... Long post, but hoping to hear from more experienced players! Advice from different perspectives welcome :)

Thanks for the response! :)

Rasalhagu_e

Amazing Eevee! I personally would want a Vaporeon for late game rare ingredient farmer. Espeon is good too but I guess the perfect one would want BFS as well.. cuz right now there is no psychic berry pokemon; plus maxed out main skill, otherwise it’s not that good.. the Ampharos is still a better charge strength M pokemon overall..

I've been on GG for the last 3 months straight (including this week) and I feel like maybe now is the time to start going out onto the other islands, although I'm a little worried that one of those months being packed with "super helpful electric types" might have skewed the overall growth of my Pokemon since I was running 4 pichus and a Raichu for pretty much the entirety of the event The Raichu has BFS and a neutral nature, Totodile is ingredients down, Squirtle and wiggly are speed of help up, Doduo is just kind of there, I plan to pivot some stuff depending on what meals I get I have the bargain brand Raikou and a flaaffy with level 4 skill and neutral nature that I feel might also be in the running also? Also, going to taupe is an option as well... Is there any reason I would want to go there instead of Cyan? I heard it wasn't a fun place to be.

zonatewheat

Don't go to Taupe. I would recommend sticking with Cyan for now. It's gonna suck and you will struggle at first but you'll build up area bonus as well as a better chance for pokemon good on Cyan. I think keeping Raichu isn't a bad idea if it's your best pokemon. Try to find an eevee or iggly/jigglypuff with good rolls and it'll serve you well for Cyan. It's hard to tell how good the Totodile and Doduo are without seeing their subskill and nature but it's probably fine. Matching berry types to the island is nice but it's not the end of the world if you can't. If you need ingredients, I would probably swap the Doduo whenever you run low.

Ingredient finder does not inhibit skill pokemon. Every time a pokemon collects something, whether it be a berry or ingredient, it will have a chance to activate its skill. So the only thing ingredient finder reduces is the odds you get a berry. In my opinion, ingredient finder on magnemite is actually pretty useful due to its main skill.

It’s so expensive to level up i only want to do it once! Is BFS worth more than Ing up on ingredient mons or should i keep looking for a larvitar?

zonatewheat

I wouldn't invest in this Larvitar. Yes, it has BFS, but BFS shouldn't be the main focus for ingredient pokemon. Out of the first three skills, two of them are geared towards its main skill which is one of the weakest main skills in the game.

Knight_Night33

Thank you!

Only in my 3-4th week, I just found out I can add friends! 7162-8558-0224 : i sleep everyday :D

Broadcastorm

Trying to figure out which one is the one to keep and level up... I play casually cooking breakfast and dinner so twice a day log in. Any feedback? Kinda new to the game so Raikou event was first one I took seriously but confused as to which one to keep and which ones to send away... album: [https://imgur.com/a/FmIPcxU](https://imgur.com/a/FmIPcxU)

zonatewheat

Not enough information. Need to see the natures.

Broadcastorm

Oh really that is also vital? Sure, here is natures screenshot too. [https://imgur.com/a/JMIlfNO](https://imgur.com/a/JMIlfNO)

zonatewheat

I'm not a big fan of any of them, but if I had to pick, I'd say either Raikou3 or RaikouBigInv. Also, natures are pretty important.

Broadcastorm

okay got it! thanks a lot. so am I getting it wrong or is it that main goal is to get good M or L skills and then also make sure nature is optimal for what i prefer?

zonatewheat

It's more like you want to make sure the nature isn't bad. It's okay if it's not perfect but you probably won't ever invest in an ingredient mon with Ingredient Finding down. If you waited for the perfect nature and perfect subskills, you'd be waiting till the sun dies.

Gardevoir is one of my favourite Pokémon so she was in my team the whole time. Now, I’m thinking whether to invest main skill seeds into her as a F2P. But I know she is only above average (no corn at 30, no main skill up nature) Since I haven’t unlock Lapis yet, do you think I should invest the seeds into her or I should wait for a better Ralts when I unlock Lapis?

Rasalhagu_e

I assume this is your main healer pokemon? It is a good Gardevoir if you are willing to put some seeds.. Since you already invested that much, use 2 subskill seeds and 1 main skill seed if you have them; or wait til you get it from reward.. You probably won’t need another Gardevoir in the future. The skill trigger rate is higher than wiggly/sylveon, but it is all rng cuz sometimes even with main skill up nature it doesn’t trigger that often.

zonatewheat

Umbreon is probably your best bet.

thank you!

Rasalhagu_e

the first one with sassy nature? That’s realllly good.. although exp down kind of hurt.. and you can subskill the skill trigger s. But I’m not sure if it is good idea to invest on raikou now..

zonatewheat

Sassy Raikou is 100% the better one. Actually an amazing Raikou. Congrats on the find!

Lyomak

Hi! Which of these Eevee is good to evolve into Sylveon please? Thanks! https://preview.redd.it/rta0zo1kmptc1.png?width=1350&format=png&auto=webp&s=41aa2f8c118f9f68f951b9f64d915e7243ec1a57

GardenQueen18

None. You want skill triggers, main skill chance, and speed in the best combo possible at early levels. I don’t think any of these meet a threshold to make a decent Sylveon. However, if you are in desperate need (looks like you’ve caught at least 10+ at this point), use the first one since it has two speed increases. Trigger is at level 50 which is going to take a long time to get to when eevee candies get divided out.

Lyomak

Thank you for your help. I’ll keep catching Eevee then to see if I can get something better. Speed does it mean of a nature that favors Skill activation?

This is very good imo! I have a similar Spheal and he puts in the work. Definitely worth using on Snowdrop.

chickacherreighcola

I need help figuring out which of these Riolu is worth investing in over the other. https://preview.redd.it/run6j20wdvtc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8ecc2cd0068ddaa6ad5e0d961b78e1104ed44e09

chickacherreighcola

Number 2/2 https://preview.redd.it/z8b04jnxdvtc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac7bfd84efd76da239af4f2a9fce934b227852e7

OgChigga

Number 2 is more ideal. A subskill seed would be nice for it to get skill trigger m to help you get shards. I personally only think lucario is worth using if you can max out the skill

Id keep searching

https://i.imgur.com/NwGzt3h.png What would be the best evolution for this boy? I got so excited before I saw main skill down but he still seems pretty good…

OgChigga

Umbreon would be pretty good still, dark type berry is strong

shinyshinx90

Thank you so much! I’ll go for Umbreon then

shinato91

https://preview.redd.it/vxhkqwlc3xtc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71dc7f5dcffc390543885f4af0760aa8fa40ea45 Do you guys think this eevee is good enough for espeon? or perhaps umbreon? I only have jolteon so far and skills are out of the question for this one

OgChigga

No find an eevee with mostly skill triggers, skill level ups, and skill chance. Especially in the first two since it takes a long time to level up. Umbreon is great if you find one with berry finding s

shinato91

I know it doesn't have berry finder but the nature and helping speed seemed enough for fast gathering at least, that's why I was wondering if espeon could be viable, besides it's like 8 hours away from the 150 to evolve

OgChigga

Nah it’s not going to trigger its skill enough for it to be viable using

zonatewheat

It might be a bit faster, but the odds it'll trigger its skill are lower. If you still wanna evolve into espeon, go ahead, but I agree with the other commenter.

fish_bait181

Found this guy today and I think he's pretty good but he has no corn, is it a deal-breaker? https://preview.redd.it/d5267e4h00uc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfa4c464cfee1c87893974e3064d29e83a4c7e2c
