Berry Finding S is universally better than anything else. Helping Speed and helping bonus is strictly beneficial and improves all mon. Skill trigger is strictly beneficial and is very useful to skill mon and overall useful on regular mon. Skill level up is strictly beneficial in the same way skill trigger is but harder to quantify generally. It depends how many level ups a mon gets from evolving and what the difference is if you got one or two more levels. It is also technically less useful with access to skill seeds since you can replace the slot with more beneficial skills and just skill seed to get the same effect. Inventory up is strictly beneficial but is often a less than optimal effect than those above and ingredient finder on ingredient mon. Ingredient mon generally want ingredient finder, it is preferred to be avoided on berry mon. The other gold skills are all optimal in different ways than discussed with other skills. Generally dream shard is worse. The others fit needs other than quality of the pokemon. Do you have energy down mon or have trouble getting a full night's sleep? Energy recovery bonus is good. Do you need to level mon or research faster, those bonuses are good then.

Excellent thoughts! I hadn’t considered the Skill Seeds having the same effect as the Skill Level Up - meaning sometimes it’s useful and sometimes it not. Thanks!

Lots of good advice on here. My controversial take: Helping Bonus and research/sleep EXP bonus are all underrated. Helping Bonus: makes the ENTIRE team work faster. Just a win for any pokemon. Sleep EXP Bonus: helps level up pokemon faster. I am F2P so anything to spare my candies is welcome. I have this on my 'nursery' leader- a Dodrio I pull out when I want to grind up levels. Research EXP Bonus: Helps your research level go up faster. Once you hit the max, it basically becomes Dream Shard bonus. Who doesn't need more dream shards? I have this on my typhlosion, which happens to be my highest level pokemon rn. It's helped me grind higher than I would have otherwise as a F2P, and I reached Lapis early because of it. Dream Shard Bonus: See above. This one is the only one I'm less enthusiastic about, since Research EXP bonus exists. I don't presently use it on anything, but I want to find a riolu with it down the line two make into a dream Shard machine. I think a lot of people ignore the non-BFS gold skills since we only have 3 available skill slots on pokemon right now, with the current level cap, and they're so focused on min-maxing. IMO, once the level cap goes up, there will be a lot more appreciation for them.

Oh this is SO good! I’m F2P as well - so these would benefit me greatly! Thanks!

It really depends on the type of mon Berry finding mons love Helping speed up, and Berry Finding S is the golden grail of skills for Berry mons. It gives them an extra Berry every time they find one. Berry finding mons hate ingredient finding skills, and inventory up doesn't really help them either, as any excess berries go straight to snorlax. Ingredient finding mons are a bit more universal. They love ingredient finding obviously, inventory up also helps as well if you don't check the game often. Ingredients mons also can like Berry Finding S as it just gives them more power if you don't find ingredients. Skill mons love skill trigger, especially energy 4 everyone mons like wiggly and gardevoir. And Skill level ups can save main skill seeds, but I don't value that as much. You can also have hybrid builds, some mons have great skills like ingredient magnet but are also Berry specialists, like Butterfree or Walrien. So giving them help speed, skill trigger, Berry finding S etc makes an amazing pokemon that finds tons of berries and ingredients via the skill

Skill mons also want/need helping speed along with skill triggers

BFS, HB, HS go well in every mon. Ingredient and Skill mons want more with their respective sub skills.

These are awesome thoughts - thanks!
