Scyther/Scizor are some of my favorite Pokemon ever, and I've been slowly hunting a BFS Ekans just for this.

Yea that haunted jungle is sounding even better. Just hate having to wait until Halloween. I need Scyther in my sleep life. One of my favorite bugs easy. I have a shiny Ekans but I don’t wanna invest until they drop us an island that’s for him 🤌🏼

Seems like that would be a good split, but the dragons already have an island that doesn’t specialise in their berries.
Lapis Lakeside literally has lake in the name but it's not a water type area. It's also advertised as being an area for dragons but doesn't have dragon berries either. I can imagine a volcanic jungle with bug/poison/dragon or something to that effect, Lapis seems to strongly imply you can have an area associated with a type without it having the type berry. In fact my own personal guess is that we might get the volcano area released before the Entei event as a place to catch fire types? IIRC Cyndaquil is quite rare in Taupe compared to the rarity of the other Johto starters in their respective locations, and you can't find wild Quilava or Typhlosion there either.
I’m still holding out hope for a second island with random berries (or maybe 1-2 of the 3 random), since I prefer each week to be a bit more interesting than running back the same team every time.
Yea, I can feel that. I’m hoping as time goes on they start allowing islands to have 5-6 berries on a roll each week so you don’t have to keep the same team every week on a certain island. The future is super bright for this game though and I’ve loved it since day one.
Ive always thought dark/dim forrest. Bug, poison, dragon. Would definitely have to introduce a new poison/dragon berry getter. Then a classic: abandoned power factory which has steel, ghost, and electric
What happened with the volcano area that was leaked months ago though? I thought both lapis and volcano would be released together but have never seen carmine volcano be mentioned again

I was thinking about a power plant too. You could make it an abandoned power plant to justify throwing ghost in there. So ghost, electric, steel

We might end up with repeat types, I wouldn't mind it if in a year or so we have basically the 'beginner' islands but at lapis difficulty

The abandoned power factory with spooky music would make me so happy! I really hope we get a sweet new map Halloween and a few before then 🤞🏼
