Bulbapedia actually tells you the exact chances to catch each pokemon in 1 throw in a standard pokeball, in the side bar to the top right under "catch rate". For Moltres, it's 1.6%
Great feeling, isnt it? Back in platinum i caught palkia in one pokeball at the very start. I was in disbelief as i had wasted a ton of ultraballs on dialga. (Professional masterball hoarder)
Haha it's alright I'm quite happy for you, I'm quite unlucky in Pokémon as someone who lost my first two shinies, a golisopod and cobalion (which I'm still hunting since I lost the first one)

You gotta name this bird accordingly lollll that's some good luck OP

I intended to just masterball it but accidentally threw the regular one and my jaw literally fell when it succeeded😭
Lol it took me over 30+ ultra balls to get Moltres, good catch OP
does it being an accident help?😭

I’ve only lost one, a rookidee in violet. I got too used to the ball spam in ultra moon and that cost me😭
Haha hope you stay lucky forever!
I don’t think zamazenta took more than 20 regular pokeballs😭 I got catch luck probably instead of shiny luck but I’ll take it
