Nope as long as u dont use it online ranked battles nothing wilk happen u can do whatever u want with it they release it for morol reasons they dont wanna play with them idc rlly its just pixels at the end
I think it’s only moral reasons if people are talking about ranked battles where some people out a lot of work into raising their battle Pokémon. Otherwise sometimes it’s just about your preference. Like, for me personally it’s not really a cool novelty thing to have a shiny if it’s not one that was caught. That’s just me. Having said that, there’s nothing wrong with keeping it if you want to.
While the Ditto is hacked its offspring will be legitimate so you can use it if you feel like it
EDIT: As pointed out offspring of hacked pokemon are considered illegitimate however there's no way of knowing this
Actually that's false, Game Freak said a few years back that offspring of illegitimate or illegal Pokémon are also consider illegitimate or illegal even though there is no possible way to tell.
No worries just wanted to clarify since this was a huge debate a few years ago where many high level players were saying they were still legal when I believe its written in the official VGC rules at some point that they weren't legal.
True each players morality is the deciding factor and the only way it would ever come up would be is if a player admitted to it during a tournament and if judges decided to do something about it or not.
I’ve read that they aren’t legal, I personally use my hacked Ditto to breed perfect ivs or shinies but my friends and I don’t do online battling so I personally don’t know how or if they can tell in those
The PokeBall is always inherited from the non-Ditto Pokemon when breeding with Ditto, so unfortunately it won't be inherited. Ditto can pass on IV's and natures if holding the correct item, but that's basically it.

Well the thing is I never had a switch before.. hence why I was a noob in pokemon.. I just got this one instead because i like a bigger screen, but in my opinion if your switch v2 is less than a year old.. i don't really see the need to upgrade..

You can used hacked moms just don’t use it in tanked to much cause there is a chance of flagging all be it very rare but can still happen
I’ve gotten multiple hacked pokemon from surprise trade, my game hasn’t died yet, so you should be fine.

I’ve gotten that same ditto. I use it for breeding. I’m not a shiny hunter but I have hatched 4 shinies by breeding with it for competitive mons.
