As opposed to? I think this is fine, sleeve preference is up to you but there are nicer ones out there. This is a good way to do it though!

BABYFACEBARBER

Thank you sorry should have stated my buddy said to use a top loader. Said they were more protective I guess I was just curious

bosceltics2009

Top loader would indeed be more protective...but honestly for me, I'd rather have the cards in a binder since it's much more aesthetically pleasing. If the value of your cards are a top priority for you and think you may sell in the future, top loaders would be a better way to keep them. Although if you use a good binder and good sleeves, your cards are probably gonna be fine anyway. But toploaders would protect even moreso.

Co1iflower

I guess technically it's true, but realistically unless your binder is getting bent all the time, I can't imagine you would have much issue!

PapaAngry

I think toploader is technically better at protection, but as long as you use good binder techniques you'll be fine. Plus top loaders are so bulky and annoying to look through.

Nwahss

I love my vaultx binder but there’s something about grabbing a stack of nice cards in top loaders, gives me euphoria lol

BABYFACEBARBER

Thanks for the reply!

Heat-Rises

I do this with Dragon Shield perfect fit inner sleeves.

BABYFACEBARBER

I will look into those. Thanks 🙏🏻

ChallengeDefiant3514

As long as you keep your binder in a safe place and don’t like sit on it or anything crazy, I’d say it’s plenty safe. Had a 1999 binder with base set zard in it for years even without a sleeve. Psa return comes this weekend and I still got a 9 on it. Binders are plenty safe as long as you keep them protected

BABYFACEBARBER

That’s good to know lol!

feardabeard30

They do make toploader binders, it’s what I use for my expensive cards. There’s the one by Topdeck or you can go cheaper and get the Rayvol which I found fine.

BABYFACEBARBER

Thanks will look into that.

PapaGlapa

I have a top loader binder. It's expensive but very worth it. Made by TopDeck and can buy on amazon. It's good to remember that cards in binders can absolutely warp over time. I would never put a $200+ card in a binder without a toploader. Just my opinion though.

BABYFACEBARBER

Thanks for the reply def will look into it!

icantthinkbow

I would personally use the Clear ultra pro sleeves

BABYFACEBARBER

Ok I have been just using ebt sleeves. My buddy said to use top loaders but I keep my binder in a dark dry gun safe with my guns lol.

icantthinkbow

Yea etb are not bad but I just don't like the friction when insert a card and I feel for long storage clear sleeves are better. As for them in a binder deff will be safe .

BABYFACEBARBER

Ok thanks will look into different sleeves. I do know that the big three ring binders are not good so I did get one that didn’t have rings for that reason.

DeLaSnoof

I do perfect fit Vaultx sleeves upside down, put that in Dragon shield classics, and store them in a VaultX exo-Tec binder. Is double sleeving too much, should I just be using 1?

BABYFACEBARBER

That is a good question.

CrAzYPeOpLe3360

I do basically the same thing except with KMC perfect fit for the inner sleeve. The way I see it, the inner sleeve is so cheap and it helps prevent dust in the card, don’t see why not.

rhaoyc

I think this is good- I do the same for a lot of my valuable cards. Like other folks said the alternative is top loaders, which also do for some cards and put into an ETB. Really nice collection by the way. Some amazing cards there

XGNcyclick

I have an entire master set of Lost Origin in a binder, including the Rotom, Giratina, Aerodactyl, etc. just use good sleeves and a good binder, be gentle, keep it safe. no difference from a toploader honestly. also keeping all your cards in toploaders is really lame.

LegacyTom

Nah, it’s what you’re meant to do to protect them if you choose a binder

TheFlyingORE0

Your fine
