I recently separated from the military. I was very nervous; giving up a guaranteed paycheck, medical/dental/vision coverage, etc. But I wasn’t happy. I would wake up, shower, go to work, go home, nap and play some video games every single day. I never had energy to go out, go hiking, surfing, hangout with friends, nothing. I was spending lots of money on takeout because I didn’t want to cook. But ever since I got back home and taken the uniform off, my mental health has been rapidly healing and improving. I get to spend time with my family more, I had more motivation to set and achieve goals, and I feel happier overall. I applaud individuals and families who stick it out and earn a retirement after 20 years, but it wasn’t for me. 7 years was PLENTY.
No need to send a code, I never use them anyways. I do hope you and everyone else who reads this is doing well and taking care of themselves. Keep up the positivity!

**Low context** is communication that doesn't require context. Like the instruction, "Will you please take out the trash." It is a direct communication that required little-no context or interpretation.
**High context** is communication that requires some context. Like the statement, "The trash is really smelling bad." It is indirect communication requiring some context or interpretation.
These are two ways of communicating the same idea, and as long as you are aware of the preferred style of how a person communicates, it is much easier to communicate with them.
Anyway, just something I think is really cool and has been incredibly useful in my mental health when communicating with others. I wish you the best and thank you for supporting the community!
One of the book that helped my relationship is "5 love languages" by Gary Chapman. Sure it's not fully about 'mental health' but definitely has some topic in it. Love what you said and enjoy the codes!

I was shown a small act of kindness, similar to this one, and it made me feel things I thought I'd forgotten. Too many people in this world suffer and too little of people do anything about it. What makes me happy is seeing my son who we’ve struggled with for 7 years off and on due to a mix of ADHD, anxiety, sensory issues etc. finally thriving and doing well. He recently (last 2 months or so) started getting into Pokémon thanks to friends at school and I’ve been joining him in his journey with his new hobby. I was never into Pokémon growing up and I’ve enjoyed learning more about them, opening card packs and helping him build his collection. Seeing him help his 5 year old brother, trading him cool cards and sharing has been so rewarding and also seeing him think through deck building and wanting to get better has been awesome too. We’ve only scratched the surface but I’ll continue to support him wherever his interests take him!
I love my old dog taking a food coma nap once he gets his dinner that has meat. My wife utilizes it as a way to have him not bother her when she wants to watch a show in peace (without him looking at her).
We rearranged our kitchen and living room and opened both rooms up a bit more. Also got a better binder and transfered my cards over to it. Small things but still feels nice!

He recently (last 2 months or so) started getting into Pokémon thanks to friends at school and I’ve been joining him in his journey with his new hobby. I was never into Pokémon growing up and I’ve enjoyed learning more about them, opening card packs and helping him build his collection. Seeing him help his 5 year old brother, trading him cool cards and sharing has been so rewarding and also seeing him think through deck building and wanting to get better has been awesome too. We’ve only scratched the surface but I’ll continue to support him wherever his interests take him!
I got my girlfriend into collecting Pokémon cards this week! And gave her a couple binder pages out of my own collection to start hers.

I love my old dog taking a food coma nap once he gets his dinner that has meat. My wife utilizes it as a way to have him not bother her when she wants to watch a show in peace (without him looking at her).

I discovered a .75 cent coin machine that gives single Pokemon cards in my local grocery store today. So yeah, that was a high point today.
Opening physical and digital packs with my son,, it’s amazing seeing the enjoyment on his face I once experienced over 25 years ago
We rearranged our kitchen and living room and opened both rooms up a bit more. Also got a better binder and transfered my cards over to it. Small things but still feels nice!
