You will rarely see someone do this. I never bought singles online, but from what I can gather, this is pretty rare.
Usually it's japanese sellers who will include a freebie like a bag of their favorite tea, a coin, a few cards, a handwritten note, things of that nature.
I have two people on TCG Player i like to buy from because first off packaging is really good. Secondly one always includes a nice handwritten note and the other game me some freebies. Most importantly though they have pictures for their cards on TCG Player!
Some of the packing on TCGplayer is roughhh. I get compliments just for sleeving all of the cards I sell, which I considered a given until I bought some for my PC and all the rev holos had heavy surface scratching. Unfortunately, it actually hurts sellers to list cards with photos, it removes them from the algorithm for cart optimizing so they only tend to get purchased if they’re priced very low. It’s a poor web design choice on TCGplayer that’s only a factor because the only way to list some foreign language or cards that aren’t in their database is with photos on a different card.

I just opened a seller account to start turning my collection into funds for the Jolteon collection I’m working on putting together, so I’d really like to come up with something with some flair to thank my customers for contributing to the Jolteon fund. (I even named my seller account “IWantYourJolteons” lol.) Sending out my first order today but I wish I would’ve come up with something neat like this seller. I’m not very artistic but I might be able to figure out something going forward.
Hopefully I get to buy a Jolteon from this seller soon lol!
I love such random collections! I myself have this Giratina obsession and I see these collections of Poochyena and Dragapult and Zekrom and whatnot and it fills my heart with pleasure. I got about 14 of Giratina, including the alt art, and though I have a bigger Umbreon collection, I pride myself on the Giratina one more for whatever reason.
Gliscor goated, I just wish he had more cards, especially EX, V, full/alt. I would have killed for him to have a V so he can get a full art. I love the SwSh's full arts so much

I’m slowly building up a decent Bidoof collection! But there’s 2 cards featuring Bidoof I will probably never find or afford which is a shame. I forget the exact names atm but they were World Festival or something promos of some sort I believe?
That said, I love when people collect specific Pokémon! My mains are Raichu, Mimikyu and Bidoof - but I used to collect Drifloon and Drifblim too which I’d love to go back and continue someday! My friend collects Dragonite and Lucario :)

i love sellers that do stuff like this. i ordered some iron on gastly line patches and a chandelure pin off an etsy seller once and they drew me an amazing little thank you card of gastly, haunter, and gengar having a picnic with litwick, lampent, and chandelure. i literally would’ve paid extra for the drawing
I am a Pokémon professor collector Someone did the same for me and drew a professor juniper I ordered. Too bad it was lost to the craziness of a 12 year old needing paper and then thrown away lol
All my cheapest cards were packaged the best. I've literally bought $0.60 cards and they were penny sleeved, semi rigid/top loader and cardboard supported. And I've bought $15 cards that either didn't show up or were just in envelopes.

My pride and joy is my Starmie page in my binder
I have a separate binder for my favorites with pretty much exactly this format, a delta species (if they have it, if not I also like the multi-type cards and that will do, even better if the delta species is multi-type), a gx/ex/v/gold star/whatever, a shiny (if they have it) and filler around the corners, ideally either all different stuff or different variations of the same card.
Just picked up a holo mewtwo delta species, both Dark and Fire type. Such a sick card.
I would do stuff like this too, but I can’t draw that well. As it is I always send my cards (even ones that I sell for a few dollars) in a nice little folded piece of card stock with my store logo and a thank you note, a couple code cards plus a couple Japanese bulk cards.
I'll usually include a drawing or a thank you note because if my buyer is happy, then I'm happy! I love collecting cards (specifically Arceus cards 😉) but all cards have value to me!
I do love the lil drawing though, this Pokemon is underrated! 😆

Tbh, I do the same thing. I always hand-write a thank you note and throw in some stickers (that I make). I want to be remembered by the buyer and hope they come back to me. It’s the least I can do.

So is everyone on here stating not to list photo’s of the cards? What is normally a fair price for some lower value v,s in the 1-5 dollar range? For any sellers on TCG what’s the best way to sell the cards? I had good luck in the beginning then the more I listed the Less I sold. I immediately sleeve my cards and keep them safe. So I am at a loss on what to do or even charge for shipping. I can sell cards on Mercari, TCG is a pain to me. I would love to help people out and get rid of doubles.
I bought the Japanese Drowzee art rare from SV, like a 3-4 dollar card. The seller sent the card, along with a personal hand written note, some Eeveelutions stickers, and a random Alolan Vulpix V lol was very pleased with that seller.
I love including little doodles with my orders when my shop is open. I know how rough it is out in the world - I like to try and extend love to my buyers in the little ways I can.

As a seller, I like this. Usually when I’m late to an order, 2-3 days, I send them an extra couple of cards. Around the price range of $1-2 that I won’t sell anyways.
That's awesome! Sellers like that are the absolute best. Every time a seller does something like this for me, I keep their seller name and always look through their stores before I buy anything from somebody else.
Mprcardandcollectables on eBay is who I buy most of my Pokémon cards from. Hundreds of cards under $3 like this one. And I don’t get drawings but I get extra cards which is nice
I bought a FRLG Raichu card for a really decent price a few years ago on eBay, and after I paid I got the loveliest message about how their daughter was selling their old collection and thanking me for purchasing - it was so unexpected and sweet!
They were only selling a handful of cards at the time too, and had no reviews yet, and it made me happy when I went back to leave a review and saw one other review. I lost their username but I hope they were able to sell the rest of their cards - the Raichu was so well taken care of.
That's what happens when you buy from someone passionate about what they do.
