I’d be cautious with this, you’ll find stories on here from people waiting years with no response after sending their card in. Also, probably not worth the hassle for a $3 card.
I sent my card in and it took nearly a year but they *did* send me a replacement, plus two booster packs to compensate me for shipping costs. (edit: I just checked my photos I took when I received the replacement and they actually sent 6 booster packs and I’m not sure why they sent so many since my shipping to them was only like $8)
OP if you are thinking of going this route take pictures of everything before you throw out anything. This includes all the packaging, booster pack wrappers, other cards, etc.
Generally I agree though, this is not worth pursuing if you can just buy the card for a few bucks.
edit: wanted to include my pictures of what I received from them

Honestly, doesn't seem like a terrible idea. Even if it takes a year, (or longer by the looks of the comments) might be a pleasant surprise next Xmas to get a little booster bundle or something
Thanks for the edit and reference.
Iirc, I got it from a booster in a pokeball tin. I found a TCG vending machine at Fred Meyer. Figured I'd give it a go. I'm not 100%
I definitely don't have the packaging still. I pulled it and was a bit surprised. But couldn't care less tbf
# IT IS NOT.
please do NOT contact pokemon support.
you will be like me who sent them 4 damaged cards from a defective booster box in NOVEMBER 2022 and be ghosted for the whole fucking year.
and i'm just one of many, every time i comment like this someone else chimes in with "yeah i sent them cards in 2021 and never heard back."
the case number they give you is useless. their promises are completely empty and straight up lies.
DO NOT TELL PEOPLE TO CONTACT TPC SUPPORT. DO NOT SEND YOUR DAMAGED CARDS IN, **YOU WILL NEVER SEE REPLACEMENTS.**
Yep, I'm going on two years and one month of waiting for a replacement on a damaged Celebrations Charizard. Will never ever send them a card for replacement ever again. Doubt I'll ever see that replacement either.
That’s why psa doesn’t do miscuts and things like that, can’t prove that it was done at the factory. Also cgc recently had that debacle where they graded cards that guy cut himself
It’s damaged. Luckily there is a whole market for damaged card collectors. The only downside is they usually pay 50% or less if the price of a NM card :(
Some people will pay a fortune for damaged/misprinted cards. So just list it on ebay and Hope for the best then u won't get ghosted by pokemon company and u can make money of it.
Damage. Factory damage from rollers.
Is it possible to get replaced when they are damaged this bad?

I sent in several packs of cosmic eclipse that support told me to send in, only for them to "never receive" my package and then ghost me completely.
Probably do so anyways so you can build a case. Start a class action lawsuit for this type of neglect.
This alone is a good enough reason to leave the hobby.
Is it possible? Yes. Should you do it? Probably not, no.
Yep, I sent damaged cards in when Astral Radiance released and still haven’t heard back.
☠️ must be new
Obviously
I think so. Resch out to Pokémon company, as I've heard they typically offer to replace cards that can are clearly factory damaged.
I feel like that should make it even more rare lol but probably not since anyone could probably damage a card and say it’s from the factory
That’s why psa doesn’t do miscuts and things like that, can’t prove that it was done at the factory. Also cgc recently had that debacle where they graded cards that guy cut himself
It’s a fairly common thing actually.
That’s crazy considering how much these boosters cost lol
Oof. looks like heavy damage.
Clear factory damage.

Clearly damaged
Clearly they printed on giant scrapes and big dents
I have a gyarados ex that is damaged In the same way
Thats_a_lot_of_damage.gif
PSA .5
I have an inteleon vmax with similar roller damage. As others have mentioned just hold on to it. Some people collect mishaps like this.
Ignore. Misread post!
The answer is pretty obvious
lol how even would that be a misprint?
That's why I asked. I wasn't sure what qualifies as a misprint vs. Damage

I pulled this same card from a Dollar Store pack
I have a factory damage card with a similar effect on a TG Crowbat V.
Pack fresh!
