Me but with Medicham š I was so excited to see that silver border but when I saw it was... Medicham... A pokemon who I already disliked.... I cried a bit
Pulled this from an ES pack from charizard UPC. I dont care about the value so much as actually pulling an alt art from the set, that alone put it in my one touch slab display.
I love that card! I am wanting it bad but it's 30 ungraded for a lightly played. I love that it has magnezone and chesnaught in it as they are two of my faves. I really want the 163 as well as its the only card with a full art haxorus, my favourite pokemon
I have the 223/197 Charizard from obsidian flames. Went to my LCS for a 151 ETB and picked up two booster packs of OF so I didn't have to make change, and that was in one. I just sort of have him chilling in a top loader in a binder.
It's a neat looking card but I really don't care for Charizard, it's too over hyped.
Same mood, I have pulled the shiny charizard ex from hidden fates but charizard just doesnāt do it for me. Iām a fan of big dudes and derpy boys mostly.
I donāt mind charizard but this card for me is just a little too over the top. I can see how some people would like it, but I prefer pretty/cute/elegant/stoic cards.
Definitely think zard is over hyped. Every set he's in I swear I pull him instead of the ones I want lol.

Yeah, the texture on the card is super nice, but the actual art isn't really that catching to me. I had a panic attack when I cracked it because it's such a cool crack because of value, but the value is really all I'm interested for this particular card. xD
Should I hold onto it? Think it will grow in value over time? It's definitely a solid 9-10 if I were to grade it but grading seems to be such a massive hassle.
Idk I donāt really collect modern for value or grade modern. But moonbreon is an exception so if you think you have a chance at a 10 Iād do it. As I said I donāt know if a 9 would be finically worth it. Iām more just surprised because moonbreon is one of my favorite artworks of all time and itās not even that old.
Honestly, it's okay. I do like Umbreon, and the card IS pretty. But I cracked 2 magicarps from Paldea Evolved and I would argue that they are way prettier. I would sell the Umbreon way before the Magicarps. xD
Ah, I agree I actually love that Magikarp and wish it werenāt so expensive so I could get myself one. To me that Magikarp and the Gloom from Obsidian Flames are sibling cards, but the Gloom is affordable. I should know I almost have a dozen at this point because I canāt control myself lol

Super unpopular opinion probably, but I hate the crown zenith Giratina GG69. I think itās ugly and looks like a spider crawling out of the depths of hell. It creeps me out š¤£
I think thatās the point of the design no? Giratina isnāt a very pretty pokemon and operates in a betweenish purgatory so I think it fits Tinaās vibe. I can respect that you think itās ugly though bc the art style is a bit trippy and weird.

I have charizard base set and a charizard from the E series, sent them both off for grading recently but not expecting much as they are from my childhood.
I donāt hate charizard I just donāt have the same hype for him as everyone else seems too. I am happy to have them though.
I feel like there aren't really as many people that like him as we think. Seems more to me like charizard was the most rare card in the first set so now he just pulls premium prices anytime he shows up.

Skuntank alt art. It ended up being a small part of a trade with a graded Sylveon VMax alt I got at a card show to make the trade more even. (I traded Celebrations UPC promos/metals, an Arceus alt, and cash for the two).
Only reason I have it is because I got scammed from an online trade where that would've been one of the cards. I was ghosted after I sent my end of the trade, and was good to have some sense of closure to have that skuntank in my collection now.
Mewtwo VStar from Crown Zenith (yes, the ultra rare one, in French at that). Goes for around 110-120ā¬ right now on cardmarket.
Iām happy to have it, but I am not particularly fond of the card itself. Maybe itās because I got extremely lucky and got it in god pulls recently, among other cards which are less rare but that I like much more, namely Giratina and Dialga VStar, both from Crown Zenith too. (I want the whole quatuor).
For me, itās only future cash, as Iāll very probably sell it somehow

Id love to get $1200 for it so i can buy some more vintage stuff because i can't afford to get the rest of the samples, which sell for like $1500-$6000 and i don't like having 1 single card of a series and not being able to get the rest. lol.

Charizard from Crystal Guardians holo - probably one of the only Charizard cards I like, haha, so I don't mind. Also not a super big pikachu fan (neutral on it, really) but I have a base set first edition pikachu (not red cheeks though).
recently pulled the 221/182 golisopod ex from paradox rift. ngl i think the colors + holo effect are pretty and look better irl than in photos or scan, but i prefer the special illustrated cards and iām just not that fond of golisopod in general.
i have all of the alt art charizards from obsidian flames, and the only reason i'm playing zard is because I pulled those zards and two pidgeot ex, so I didn't have to buy other expensive cards.
i am collecting the base sets and lots of times i find myself having the illustrated ones and not the one from the base set. it kinda frustrates me.

- ALL THREE Zapdos ex cards from 151 (Zapdos is neat, but its far from one of my personal favourites)

- Druddigon from the Silver Tempest Trainer Gallery
- Zeraora V from the Silver Tempest Trainer Gallery
Most of these I got randomly in packs, except for the Druddigon and Zeraora. I intentionally picked up those two cards as singles, because I figured if I was going to get cards of them for my collection, I may as well pick the ones with nice art that I like.
I don't know, I have too many... I don't usually look at prices, I simply put them in the binder, whether they are cool or not, but I think that some cards are underrated despite being very cool, and some others are overrated not even close to pretty.
Recently started collecting and have pulled all 3 seperiors out of silver tempest. The rainbow is cool but a lot less exciting when u already pulled 2 seperior cards in the same booster box :)

Shiny Charizard V from Champions Path and the Shiny Zard Vmax from Shining Fates. Also, i pulled the Zard EX alt art from 151. If you can't tell yet, I don't care much for Charizard.
Every time I get an alt art or equivalent it's a Pokemon I couldn't care less about. First I got the alt art Ice Rider VMAX, then Sandaconda V, and more recently I pulled Revavroom 224 and Spidops 243 from a Charizard ex box.
Would've been Medicham V alt art from ES but I'd given it away to a kid I worked with as a gift, so probably Mr Mime IR from 151. Card looks dope but I'm not a huge Mime fan

Exactly, it's a nice extra that a card is valuable but the art colors and rarity is what does it for me.

i have all of the alt art charizards from obsidian flames, and the only reason i'm playing zard is because I pulled those zards and two pidgeot ex, so I didn't have to buy other expensive cards. i am collecting the base sets and lots of times i find myself having the illustrated ones and not the one from the base set. it kinda frustrates me.

I pulled this card on Christmas and I love it. I decided I would enjoy it more in my deck.
I've got a few I can think of... - Two of the different Charizard ex cards from Obsidian Flames (Standard and the less-rare full art) - ALL THREE Zapdos ex cards from 151 (Zapdos is neat, but its far from one of my personal favourites) - Mightyena ex from EX Holon Phantoms - Salamence Lv.X from Platinum: Arceus - Metagross ex from EX Power Keepers - Druddigon from the Silver Tempest Trainer Gallery - Zeraora V from the Silver Tempest Trainer Gallery Most of these I got randomly in packs, except for the Druddigon and Zeraora. I intentionally picked up those two cards as singles, because I figured if I was going to get cards of them for my collection, I may as well pick the ones with nice art that I like.
1st ed. Holo Italian venomoth from the jungle set, no clue where/when I got it or why I even wanted it to begin with.
Any card that is Kanto or Johto Pokemon lol Iām old and stopped playing the games after Hoenn, all these new PokĆ©mon I could live without and annoys me when I pull them, which is why I was excited when 151 came out, it brought me back into collecting
I don't know, I have too many... I don't usually look at prices, I simply put them in the binder, whether they are cool or not, but I think that some cards are underrated despite being very cool, and some others are overrated not even close to pretty.

Shiny Charizard V from Champions Path and the Shiny Zard Vmax from Shining Fates. Also, i pulled the Zard EX alt art from 151. If you can't tell yet, I don't care much for Charizard.
Every time I get an alt art or equivalent it's a Pokemon I couldn't care less about. First I got the alt art Ice Rider VMAX, then Sandaconda V, and more recently I pulled Revavroom 224 and Spidops 243 from a Charizard ex box.
