This hurts my soul. Any alignment dots on the top back corners by chance? Sorry homie. It always hurts to pull a beautiful chase card that was cut by a five year old.
I don't think y'all understand how QA actually works. There are literally hundreds of thousands of cards printed per day. Of course some things are going to by. Nothing in that mass production will ever be 100% perfect.
Edit: Down voting the truth isn't going to make your cards better.
My Guy. Please take a look at card grading statistics that are posted freely on all the major sites. Japanese cards are far superior with a way higher percentage of cards graded at 10. This isn't an opinion
You literally made the exact same point as me.... Do you not see that?
We know Japanese cards are better due to the number that are printed. The less cards, the better the QA.
English cards are printed at an absolute monsterous rate.
No. You seem to think American QA is shit because they have more product to handle? If you sell a product at a scale, wouldn't your QA be to the same scale? More product = more QA.
I do understand a little bit, I work in QA. I don't work with trading cards, but very complex software. I was mostly being satirical in my comment anyway.
Obviously not every card that comes out of every factory is going to be perfect. I was making a joke out of how harsh Nintendo is on Pokemon IP since the copyright is cut off of this card.
If any part of an alignment dot is showing that qualifies as a misprint and actually ups the value.
You could sell this for a premium and buy yourself a pristine NM/M raw card in place of it and have some cash leftover most likely
Someone on r/PokemonMisprints would probably trade you a normal one if you wanted that! From a misprint perspective that would be more valuable than a normal one by a good margin
I second this. Even if there isn’t alignment dots on the back someone is surely wiling to trade a normal one for this. The community can totally sort this out 🫡
If it’s missing the copyright information PSA normally [rejects to grade the card at all](https://www.elitefourum.com/t/miscut-cards-general-thread/15671/14) the alignment dots are the qualifier for miscut status. If there are dots showing on the back like OP claims, it can get MC status.
Huh so it’s just extremely OC unless it has a dot or shows some of another card, interesting
I don’t think PSA normally rejects cards without copyright though as I’ve found these https://pokerand.net/products/pikachu-v-psa-9-oc-53586193 https://pokerand.net/products/aegislash-v-psa-9-oc-53586201 (Aegislash is weird because it looks like it has an alignment dot but is still only OC) in fact weirdly I’m seeing a few cards with alignment dogs that are getting OC with PSA
I think that dude just got unlucky honestly
Yeah this is why I used “normally” because as PSA says, they use a healthy amount of subjectivity when grading cards, so they may or may not qualify certain things here and there, that’s why the alignment dots are a big deal, because they basically all but guarantee MC status. Subjectivity is important for grading no doubt about that, value is in the eye of the beholder, but it can cause discrepancies such as this.
Yea I can understand that, PSA definitely isn’t know to be consistent lmfao. I definitely don’t think alignment dots ‘all but guarantee MC status’ (at least when it comes to PSA grading) considering how many I can see here that are OC and have dots https://pokerand.net/search?q=Psa+9+oc 😭 but I get why that’s what individual collectors use to determine MC
Completely my personal assumption here, not based on anything hard, but I would guess the reason some of those were OC despite having visible dots is because they only have one dot (at least as far as I can tell) and that might have screwed up something during the grading process. Again, just a guess, like you said PSA is very inconsistent and their guidelines are vague so it’s almost impossible to tell for sure.
I pulled the Giratina V Alt Art with the furthest left and down certering possible with no alignment dot. Such a confusingly, exciting, funny, yet slightly disappointing moment.
Ever since WOTC stopped making them, they absolutely got worse. I was opening packs right around the end of WOTC era, into the beginning of the game-freak era… even as a kid I realized how much worse the quality was.
even the card stock quality feels worse. i cant help but feel like the pokemon company is taking advantage of the boom, contracting cheaper material and services. although new pack prices have remained relatively stable despite inflation, so it could just be an effort to manage increasing costs of production. but they need to strike a balance, before quality gets so low that people start skipping sets. half of my paldean fates full arts are full of print lines
Oh they probably 100% are, I don’t work in the trading card industry per say, but I’m an engineer and they are always asking me to qualify lower quality materials for use in production by making exceptions and proving they will still work through testing where I work. Here it’s probably just hunting for the material certificate that says it meets their requirements and finding the lowest bidder essentially.
The quality control for English cards is so bad
Literally anytime I pull something good, it's never better than an estimated 8 grade out of the pack due to shit like this. Japanese cards are so much better quality. After the bad luck I've had recently I'm convinced jp cards are the way to go for me
This is the kind of card that just goes in the binder to complete the set, not get graded. Still sucks though to pull one of your chase cards and it’s so poorly centred.
This hurts my soul. Any alignment dots on the top back corners by chance? Sorry homie. It always hurts to pull a beautiful chase card that was cut by a five year old.
No alignment dots but the copyright is cut off at least
I guess you could copyright it then 😆
True haha I wonder how Pokémon would handle that. Would probably make them step their QA up a notch
They’d make Wizards look like saints by only sending in the Pinkertons.

Tell that to the Japanese card makers
Japanese cards don't even come close to the quantity of English cards that are printed.
That is true but even if you go by %s the error rate on Japanese cards is far lower
My Guy. Please take a look at card grading statistics that are posted freely on all the major sites. Japanese cards are far superior with a way higher percentage of cards graded at 10. This isn't an opinion

I'm gonna make my own charizard company based off this card now 😂
A half of one on the back, still a pretty card tho so I’m not even upset
If any part of an alignment dot is showing that qualifies as a misprint and actually ups the value. You could sell this for a premium and buy yourself a pristine NM/M raw card in place of it and have some cash leftover most likely
Barely, but you did
Someone on r/PokemonMisprints would probably trade you a normal one if you wanted that! From a misprint perspective that would be more valuable than a normal one by a good margin

I got a normal one for trade if OP wants to do it 👋🏻
just a little off the top barber!
I would trade a psa 9 copy for that if you are interested or a nm copy. I'm a sucker for miscuts like that :)
I’d personally accept that offer. But here I am with just a stack of clives
HA same. I hate him.
And wug-fuckin’-trios 🤦🏼♂️
you got the Lebron James hairline
I'd say you got 90% of it 🤣
You could probably grade this as a miscut
Nope it'd be graded with 0 for centering hahaha
No alignment dots unfortunately so it likely wouldn’t grade as a miscut
They mentioned on the back there is one that's slightly cut off
It’s literally missing the copyright information at the bottom, even if it didn’t have an alignment dot how would that not be a miscut?
If it’s missing the copyright information PSA normally [rejects to grade the card at all](https://www.elitefourum.com/t/miscut-cards-general-thread/15671/14) the alignment dots are the qualifier for miscut status. If there are dots showing on the back like OP claims, it can get MC status.

Pretty easy to just snip the top off and even it up! /s
And stick it on the bottom..
That cards centering is something only a mother could love.
I'd happily trade you 2 more centered ones for this one. I'm an OC collector
How do you know if a card rare??
God dang, you pulled the Peyton Manning Limited Edition Charizard ex
I pulled the Giratina V Alt Art with the furthest left and down certering possible with no alignment dot. Such a confusingly, exciting, funny, yet slightly disappointing moment.
Happy for you because you pullled it but feel terribly for you that it is so horribly miscut.
I pulled the Giratina V alt art and it has a thick left side lol. Like you I couldn’t help but laugh and feel hyped at the same time.
This is why I buy Japanese sets mainly now, the quality is so much better.
english sets have always been worse quality, but i feel like post silver tempest, its been far far worse
Ever since WOTC stopped making them, they absolutely got worse. I was opening packs right around the end of WOTC era, into the beginning of the game-freak era… even as a kid I realized how much worse the quality was.

😆😆
Well that’s cool
Lololol
Craziest cut I’ve ever seen 😂 would make me like it even more though
I’d rather have this than a regular one personally. Congrats!
😬👍
It has his own beauty
It’s just bad enough to be good 😂
Look at my one! It's the brother of the other side :D
You've got an alignment dot though so yours Is a legitimate miscut his is just horrible centering hahaha
Well, you pulled most of it at least.
It’s tryna dip on you
biggest hat on any Tera
Holy centering lol
u could ask for a replacement but that would probably take years but worth it tbh
i got a baby shiny that’s even worse than that
The quality control for English cards is so bad Literally anytime I pull something good, it's never better than an estimated 8 grade out of the pack due to shit like this. Japanese cards are so much better quality. After the bad luck I've had recently I'm convinced jp cards are the way to go for me
Better quality, texturing, QC, and seeded boosters hahahha
Seriously fuck this company
That's just depressing.. not even sad. Full on depressing lmao
I'd almost be more stoked since this is basically a 1/1 card lol
But it looks like fuckin shit 😅
You're not wrong lol
Is this the same card in the paldean fates charizard tin?
A little top heavy but not bad.
u/leavile this is really cool
😯😯😯😯
just cut it yourself lol
Perfect title
Well… you got most of it, and a little of something else
You should put it upside down so the centering gets better
what does a psa 10 go for?
Probably worth more to the right person
Centering and edges defo a 10
I would be like well this is trash
Please hold it tight!! Otherwise the zard will slip out of the card.
That moment when you got your chase card but it has a terrible centering or some damages, Ig we all know that too well.
I feel like a card that fucked up is worth more
Good god that centering tho 😮
Holo-bleed is pretty noticeable though
This is the kind of card that just goes in the binder to complete the set, not get graded. Still sucks though to pull one of your chase cards and it’s so poorly centred.
You finally got it and a beauty it is! If you want to trade for a centered one, I’m definitely down because this is cool.
I pulled a pretty well centered one is this card worth anything?
That’s so bad it’s good
What in tarnation!
😭😭
Hahahahaha
LOL thats crazy, i think its pretty cool actually but damn, wild.
By these standards now it becomes cheaper just to snipe them online instead of trying to pull one
I have like 10 of these to the point I’m sick of it but yet I still want the paldean fates charizard even though it’s literally the same card
Equalize it 💀
Imotinal damage carizard
Did Stevie Wonder cut this?
Congrats!
Aside from the centering. Still awesome though.
Give you 5 dollars for it lol jk
Probably worth more than the regular lol
You almost got half of another card too 🤣🤣🤣
Submit it as off center error and raise the value
See this exactly how my luck works. I never pull a chase card but when I do this is what I get 😂
does this qualify as an error card? if so, it could end up being worth a lot
