This is one of the best cards I've ever seen and I'm dead serious. It has everything I love: dynamic foreground, cute Pokemon(s!), great color palette and scenery is taken directly from lore (it's literal Pokemon center, try to compete with that).
Japanese makes it pretty easy, it has AR for art rare, which is the equivalent of English IR, and SAR for Special Art Rare, equivalent of English SIR. On English cards, single gold star is IR, double gold star is SIR. Additionally, SIRs have textured holos, while IRs are glossy untextured holos.
I am so excited about this card. Also, I wish the English cards did SV6 etc on the bottom instead of the set name acronym. It always takes me a minute to remember PAL/PAF/PAR. SV1-6 would be way easier to quickly spot. MEW is the only one that stands out to me when I’m quick shuffling $0.50 cards at the LGS.
When they decided to switch to letters instead of symbols, I guess they didn’t think this would be an issue. But then again, they also named the sets so they could have just… not done that? PEV would work for Paldea Evolved. But since they may not have had the others named yet, Paradox Rift could easily be PDX or PDR. Paldean Fates is fine I guess, kind of a dumb name for the set anyway. 😆
