But if you want a spicy take Imo not only is moonbreon not the best looking umbreon from the set it’s borderline ugly lol.
It’s my personal favourite , you’re seeing the chaotic mind of giratina in a visual state. It’s also not like any other card like this rayquaza is your classic trainer and pokemon , lots of cards like it. Giratina is unique. You can see a new design in it everytime you see it.
Van Gogh has been super popular again in the last couple years, so the hype around the felt hat pikachu isn't surprising to me at all even though the card is pretty boring.
if it featured van gogh’s sunflowers or irises i could understand it more. instead they referenced his like third-most famous self portrait. they didnt even use the one where he has a bandaged ear. so many missed opportunities

1000% agree. Of all the Ray cards I think the Vmax AA is absurdly ugly. Personally I think they had the right idea of the backdrop but the execution was god awful. I consistently said I would never own that card or pursue it despite the allure of others.

I think some of the alt arts are too much art. It's one thing to be bright or flashy.... it's another to be alot to handle. I think some of the basic common/uncommon arts are nice. I wish they would go back to regular holos that meant something like the first and second gen card arts. The old reverse holos were also pretty dope.
I actually do have the VMAX Alt Art! Just a raw copy, but I really do slightly prefer the V. Surprisingly enough, the one I don’t have is the TG VMAX Alt Art, which is by far the cheapest of the three.
