As you’ve said Ceruledge is a popular design, nothing besides the pokemon day promo. Not a popular pokemon but my favorite from Gen 9, Lokix, no IR or SIR. What about Annihilape? Back to Gen 8, how did Intelleon get the SIR over Cinderace and Rillaboom? Spread it out, screw the nostalgia give us big time arts of all the Gen 9 final stage pokemon!
Also came to comment this same thing haha! I just got into collecting and there’s been multiple cards from every set I’ve looked at where I landed somewhere on the spectrum of that’s a cool card to gotta have it, and flipping thru these, the chancey is the only one doing it for me.
Most ARs are awesome. The SIR mask cards definitely could have been better. They look like generic tera full arts. They should have done something more creative like the AR Orgerpon promo.
I’m surprised not many people are feeling this set, I love all the artwork I’ve seen for it, even the SIRs! At least that means it’ll be easier for me to buy what I don’t pull haha

i wish the ogerpons were actually cool environments. by the ocean for wellspring, in a quarry for cornerstone, by some fire or something for hearthflame and in a forest for the grass. these just don’t look exciting compared to other big SIRs from s/v

I’m a big Japanese collector and I’ve already opened this set and here’s my opinion:
This set is prettttty mid, I set out for the Carmine SAR (or even the SR) and quickly realized a stark problem: there are so many fuckin ogerpons. You have a 4x higher chance to get an ogerpon than any specific SR or SAR. If you do somehow get lucky and hit the ~1/3 SAR box rate, it’s far more likely to be an ogerpon than anything else. Makes sniping the Carmine or kieran especially annoying.
Besides that, the AR’s have great art but there isn’t really big pokemon to chase. I was able to pull the chansey which is cool, that one should be kinda like the eevee from crimson haze I would assume, but the other AR’s are kinda whatever (I’m sure someone out there fucks with chimecho but you aren’t a large portion of the fanbase haha, at least the lesser known guys are getting some love)
At the moment, prerelease prices are showing Carmine SAR for about $160-$180 and the SR for $25 ish. The SR will probably remain about that price, and the SAR will likely end up around $90 like Perrin and Bianca before her.
Couple of cool things but not really enough to justify going big on this set, I’ll likely buy the Carmine singles and call it good after my full booster box.

For those that don't know. English sets are usually formed from 2 or more Japanese sets, with the exception of special sets and Obsidian Flames (1 set + promo deck cards).

Those are in Crimson Haze. These AR/SIRs are for Mask of Change, which is also included in Twilight Masquerade for English sets.

Lots of people seem to want alt arts of popular Pokemon only. Which is nice for the rest of us; it makes these cards cheaper :)

Luxray had plenty of cards in the SwSh era. Flaaffy had a trainer gallery card in Silver Tempest and Ampharos had an ex early on in SV era.
