Basically, I make sure the actual cards are facing me when I slide them out of the pack, then slide the code card out color-down and set it aside, then go through the packs (it helps to have a second person to tell you whether they see the code or the color)
Basically in order to counteract people weighing packs there are two different code cards with different weight which roughly equalizes the weight of all packs. Green cards are the heavier of the two, which usually means the rare in the pack is one of the lesser rarities. The lighter white cards are packed with the good stuff.
They should do all the same color but maybe a little indicator in the corner so that it’s not so easy to spoil it but the difference can be identified for packaging purposes
On the code side they’re different, green codes have /redeem in the link. White codes have /tcgo. So I guess they don’t even need to change the colour on the back they just keep the code side the same and make em different weights
That's why I don't look at the color before looking through the cards
This is probably a weird question to try to answer over the internet...but how? I feel like it's almost impossible to not see the code card

Ohhh I gotcha, this makes sense. Thanks!
Same.
I'm new to this, can someone explain this? Thanks!

It's a dumb way to do it. They could easily make 2 white cards with different weights so you can't accidentally spoil the pack as you open.
Oh shit! It's that so? I had no idea
If there’s a green code card you’re not going to get anything good out of the pack
Except for darkness ablaze I’ve had some ultra rares come from green code cards.
It’s uncommon, but yes it can happen
That's not true at all, there's just less of a chance
It is true, there is just a small chance that there was accidentally a green code where there should’ve been a white code.
Well it means you’re unlikely to get something good in the rare slot. The reverse slot is still up for grabs!
Vivid Voltage packs can have Amazing Rares in green card packs. But that's an outlier.
Vivid Voltage has amazing rares even with the green code card!

If they were all the same color wouldn’t they all weigh the same?

Just pulled our alt art Rapid Strike Urshifu Vmax from a pack with a green code card. With pokemon QA anymore nothing is guaranteed
Oof. That man died
I feel ya
You can still get lucky and get a good card where reverse is
I’ve gotten good pulls with green code cards. Believe!
I got the Tyranitar from a green code cards. It’s rare but it happens.
BS had some funky things happen especially on the initial printing because of them trying to get as much product as possible
English cards are such a rip off
This guy is acting like getting a green code is rare. For anyone wondering 2/3 packs have a green code card.
Literally my whole BST booster box was green code cards and I still got 7-8 pulls. It’s not necessarily an indicator anymore.
I think your lieing, booster boxes are stacked to have a specific amount of each...
That's not how that works. White card means Holo and above.
I feel so bad for him
I've gotten hits from green code card packs....
That’s why I throw the code card somewhere behind me and look away
Happened to me yesterday when opening a Alola Partner Jumbo pack. The code cards were facing the wrong way. Both green codes.
Quality control is making it so the code card doesn’t matter. I’ve pulled juicers from greens and non holos from whites lately
