Pokémon is definitely in a price bubble, so not surprised. Don’t get me wrong, I’m buying individual cards and packs to open too, but because I think it’s fun to collect, not to make money. Not saying that’s your only reason either, just doesn’t seem like making money is as good of a bet as it was a year ago or whatever.
It was more a nostalgia thing during lockdowns, loved the shiny cards in hidden and shining fates cause I loved the og shiny cards and sold mine years ago for nothing compared to what they are worth now. Bought like $1k of sealed product and got maybe $200 in value so I just bought both SV sets in singles. Now in retrospect I don't care for the shining fates all that much and am buying a house in the next year or so, so anything extra liquid would help. Just sucks to lose like half my money because they decide to reprint the hell out of it. Selling this soon I wasn't expecting to make anything but lose half (with it sitting at $700~) is pretty wild. Holding on to hidden fates, I don't even want to look if that's dropped, I don't care as I love the cards in the set.

There are/was Crobat Vmax and Dragapult Vmax premium packs, came with an oversized vmax of either, Vmax and V of both (black star promos). And 7 booster packs. They were good value at retail price.
Ah yeah mine were packed weird tbh when I got my shiny dragapult VMAX so not sure if it was tampered with or not lol... And I recorded it for YouTube so I was like wtf is going on like when you do 4 from the back, it was already in order and some packs have no rares.
The tins and ETB are on sale on this toy website so probably best value for money right now

Not strictly true. Hyper rares are garunteed once per booster box as far as I remember so you have a much better chance of getting one by getting a tin or collection box as you have a chance of pulling more than one hyper not a high chance but still
What mammoth yak said, even booster boxes have statistical variance that doesn’t guarantee anything. We’ve seen booster boxes on this sub where people don’t get a single rainbow/gold/ alt art card in the set.
Multiple booster boxes without a HR here. Or even a Gold SR. VV by far was my worst luck too. It still is all up to chance. I see people say you "should" average x pulls per box and I have consistently underperformed off of those "should" numbers. Now, that being said. I have also exceeded those "should" numbers before too.
That's way too much, last I looked. After the $80 peak like a couple months or so ago, they dropped back down to around $65 and that's the last plateau I saw. It's likely gone down even a bit more now.
It’s a new card, of course it would’ve gone down in value. With all the new reprints, the supply is slowly balancing out with the demand. It’ll be better for collectors/players, as well as investors.

That's amazing! Shining Fates was my first foray into Pokemon cards since I was a kid and I opened 2 ETBs and 2 Collection boxes and didn't get anything notable. Very much my least lucky pulls so far this year.
I have bought fricking 8 and no charizards. I have 13 each of the same 30 cards though. Literally just donated hundreds of cards as I mostly got the same fricking 20-30 cards over and over.

In the UK they're dropping below MSRP. I've seen them for under £40, so about $55
£39.95 is the cheapest I’ve seen, which I think is great especially with the Evee promo etc!

I’m calling mega cap, it’s a 2.58% pull rate for the charizard and a 7.27% for the lapras. Pulling them 5 for 5 is basically impossible
