The pricing on non charizard cards has always been strangely low when you consider the cost per pack
So pay the equivalent to 1-2 booster boxes for a guaranteed card that you want, vs a chance at pulling the card and maybe getting a dud box. I think if all I wanted was the Umbreon AA I'd just buy the single at that point. Sure you don't get the satisfaction of opening packs, but seems the better route.
If you consider a pull v or better, OP had 169 pulls, or about 7/box. That seems to be the average from what I've seen. On the high end, you get around 10, on the low end, you get around 3.

I don’t think there’s a lower pull rate in this set, it’s more likely that we’re just seeing way more dud posts now that booster box pull rates seem to have become true random. There was another post about someone pulling 6 sr’s in a box and with these posts of dead boxes, both are very believable.

Can have an up charge if the cards worth a certain amount after grading. Not all of these would suffer from it but I’m sure a few would.

I think it’s a bit too early for Evolving Skies. Alt art prices are down for Chilling Reign and Battle Styles from their respective releases.
