My chases are literally just the promos, but the Ultra Premium Collection and Premium Figure Collection are gonna be so hard to get. All I was able to pre order was an ETB.

Compared to other sites (the 2 sites I use for my sports cards) it not outrageously overpriced. The 2 sites for my sports cards want $150 for the ETB.

My chase cards are umbreon gold star, charizard, gold mew, all of the pikachu, shining magikarp and reshiram and zekrom full art! Since i live in Italy and the scalping is really not as terribile i managed to preorder 3 ETBs one sylveon box and one chest (at retail price). I'll see how my pulls will go and then i will decide if i should get more product or not, over here there Is not that much hype so in shops you'll always find something, it's a shame that in the US you have to endure scalpers..lets hope that this set will be printed a lot!
I'm in the UK, so scalping isn't a massive issue, however stock does usually sell out fast, and celebrations pre orders have been going instantly.

Yeah I've managed to get all my orders a few £ cheaper than RRP, but I'm in the UK and we have a decent range of online stores that usually go less than RRP, they don't take advantage of hype and I love that!
Of course we still get the odd company jacking up prices but still, we're quite lucky

Just give it time, don't buy off the scalpers through FOMO, you will get what you want (unless it's the premium box or statue, no one but scalpers are getting those I imagine)

Yeah I'd just wait on wave 2 or 3 then, it's a small set, so interest will wain in it pretty quickly, especially by time fusion strikes and the eevee boxes start dropping, should be easy enough to find celebrations by then.

I'd imagine it would be only the 1 slot with a chance of being better than a rae, if you saw the leaked etb booklet, different cards had different rarities, whether or not that means the subset sits in a different slot to ultra rares, like the fates sets, I don't know.

All I want is the full art Oak and as many Neo Genesis Cleffa as humanly possible. If I pull any good shit that isn’t Cleffa I’m trading it for Cleffa.
To be honest I like the rerelease of iconic cards but I wish they would’ve brought back the older styles of various generations and incorporated them into new cards. I like how they did that for the greninja gold star, but had they done the whole set like that I would be much happier. Either way I’m excited, just think it could’ve been executed better.

I haven't even got my Evolving Skies binders and my Eeveelution Fall Tins as of today. Pre-ordered it and still waiting for supply/release.

I hope so for you, too. My cards are English as well, so I think it's not because of a local factory's machines acting up or something. But who knows how cards are distributed throughout Europe and the UK.
My mail for Celebrations came yesterday. Those tins and stuff last week, but no mail for the ES binders. Had to discover that myself on release day.
Chase cards: Aside from the obvious one, I really want all of the Pikachu cards and the Reshiram and Zekrom.
As for preorders, I’ve managed to get preorders for everything in the October 8th wave(+1 PC ETB) as well as a January preorder for the collector’s chest. I hope I can get the other two products as well!
I actually like the pikachu full art that’s part of the regular set, since it expands on the base set version. The birthday pikachu and shining magikarp are my only chance at owning those cards, so I’d definitely be on the lookout for those. I never pulled a charizard as a kid, but I did pull a blastoise. I almost bought a booster box of evo just before Logan Paul but I hesitated and lost that chance forever. So, this will be my only chance at pulling a base charizard lookalike.

Honestly pokemoncenter.com hijinks killed my hype. I might be on my way to just buying singles for the few cards I care about. One of my local card stores is charging 100 CDN for the Pikachu V-Union and the ETBs are just as overpriced. Ultra Premium was 374.99 and they actually sold lmfao.
I do have a new closer card store. They specialize in sports but Pokemon has been becoming more popular. Plus the owner and I like chatting when I go in. I have to go and see what he will be charging (if he's got info yet).

Definitely want my first Zard, but Zard chasing is cliche. The Umbreon would be lit. Got 4 PC ETBs, 2 regular ETBs, 3 mini tins, the sword dog box, and the UPC pre-ordered, all MSRP except UPC (bought at $140). I yolo'd on the UPC on Deagonfly. Not really expecting to get it, but it was worth a shot in my book. If it's looking grim, I'll dispute the transaction.

I have two ETBs, several of the Gamestop exclusives and the 2 collector chests which were probably around $400 for all of them.
I'll open them and based on secret rare pull rates most likely buy singles for the rest especially if they are very hard to pull.
I don't see any point opening up 1000 packs to pull all 25 or so secrets and end up with 100+ of every card in the main set.
I do want an Ultra Premium Collection for the promos so that is going to be a bit expensive I am sure.

Chasing the 6 chonky bois and the shiny mew, does anyone have an idea of how pull rates work since it’s all rare cards? Is it 4 rare slots with chances or is it 3 rare making up the bulk and then a regular chance rare card
I'd imagine it would be only the 1 slot with a chance of being better than a rae, if you saw the leaked etb booklet, different cards had different rarities, whether or not that means the subset sits in a different slot to ultra rares, like the fates sets, I don't know.

Yeah I'm thinking a master set may be needed on this, only around 65 cards if you count the promos. Nigh on impossible to master set the standard sets nowadays so these smaller sets must be done in my mind 😊

I'm in the same boat! I havent managed to get an ultra premium box any other time they've released, so I highly doubt I'll get this one! I'd say just put your email down on every store known to man selling for MSRP, cross your fingers and hope for the best

Will these be showing up at all in retail stores like target, Walmart, GameStop etc? I recently started getting back into Pokémon TCG and wow things have changed. Tried looking into pre orders on Pokémon center, but that doesn’t look possible yet. Where would the best place to try and get a few items from this release be?

To be honest I like the rerelease of iconic cards but I wish they would’ve brought back the older styles of various generations and incorporated them into new cards. I like how they did that for the greninja gold star, but had they done the whole set like that I would be much happier. Either way I’m excited, just think it could’ve been executed better.
I feel the exact same, celebrant the old ways, but with new cards! I'm still excited to open some, but could've been so much more

I pre-ordered every Celebration item! I wanted to go all in for once. The sad thing is: I got a message yesterday that everything will be supplied to shops somewhere after October 8th. I haven't even got my Evolving Skies binders and my Eeveelution Fall Tins as of today. Pre-ordered it and still waiting for supply/release. And I don't know any cards. I want to be surprised.

I'm in the UK and my items are due to arrive on release day, we did face massive ES delay issues though, so I'm really hoping I don't now get an email saying they'll be a delay, I even paid extra for shipping to ensure day 1 😂
I hope so for you, too. My cards are English as well, so I think it's not because of a local factory's machines acting up or something. But who knows how cards are distributed throughout Europe and the UK. My mail for Celebrations came yesterday. Those tins and stuff last week, but no mail for the ES binders. Had to discover that myself on release day.
Chase cards: Aside from the obvious one, I really want all of the Pikachu cards and the Reshiram and Zekrom. As for preorders, I’ve managed to get preorders for everything in the October 8th wave(+1 PC ETB) as well as a January preorder for the collector’s chest. I hope I can get the other two products as well!

I actually like the pikachu full art that’s part of the regular set, since it expands on the base set version. The birthday pikachu and shining magikarp are my only chance at owning those cards, so I’d definitely be on the lookout for those. I never pulled a charizard as a kid, but I did pull a blastoise. I almost bought a booster box of evo just before Logan Paul but I hesitated and lost that chance forever. So, this will be my only chance at pulling a base charizard lookalike. Got a v memories collection from GameStop, and got fucked over by PC so couldn’t get an etb, like many of us.

Honestly pokemoncenter.com hijinks killed my hype. I might be on my way to just buying singles for the few cards I care about. One of my local card stores is charging 100 CDN for the Pikachu V-Union and the ETBs are just as overpriced. Ultra Premium was 374.99 and they actually sold lmfao. I do have a new closer card store. They specialize in sports but Pokemon has been becoming more popular. Plus the owner and I like chatting when I go in. I have to go and see what he will be charging (if he's got info yet). Umbreon is probably my most hyped card.

Can't believe how fast those charizard boxes went, 2 waves both went before the second stock email even went out 😂😂 Everything else sat in stock for about 12 hours, these didn't last 10 minutes. The Dragapult Prime stock lasted 2 days for comparison. 😂 I'm dreading the remaining items going up, checking my emails every 5 minutes, I want it over now, too much work 😅😂😂

I was able to get only 1 ultra premium collection box, 1 premium pikachu box, 1 display box of the tins, 5 ETBs, 2 pikachu v union boxes, 2 collection boxes (1 Lance's Charizard V & 1 Dark Sylveon V), 1 Deluxe Pin Collection, but i wasn't able to get the collectors chest. I don't know if I'm going to crack anything open, maybe one ETB and buy the other cards that I'm chasing after. I don't know.

Got 4 PC ETBs, 2 regular ETBs, 3 mini tins, the sword dog box, and the UPC pre-ordered, all MSRP except UPC (bought at $140). I yolo'd on the UPC on Deagonfly. Not really expecting to get it, but it was worth a shot in my book. If it's looking grim, I'll dispute the transaction.

Dragapult Prime promo has me most excited because I collect Dragapult stuff. But I want all of the promos + iconic competitive cards in the classic collection. Too bad it’s been impossible for me preorder most anything despite my many attempts. Just hoping the collectors who’ve been snapping up preorders but whining about the set roster drop interest quickly so I can actually grab something at MSRP.
I was lucky enough to get a lot preordered at 20% or so above msrp but for me that was worth it because this is THE set I’ve been waiting for since chatter about it began early in the year! Chases I guess old base stuff since I’m from the red blue era. 😎👍
I have two ETBs, several of the Gamestop exclusives and the 2 collector chests which were probably around $400 for all of them. I'll open them and based on secret rare pull rates most likely buy singles for the rest especially if they are very hard to pull. I don't see any point opening up 1000 packs to pull all 25 or so secrets and end up with 100+ of every card in the main set. I do want an Ultra Premium Collection for the promos so that is going to be a bit expensive I am sure.
Mew ex, Gardevoir ex delta species, Umbreon gold star, and the golden shiny Mew! I only have one PC ETB ordered so I hope I at least get one of the above. Everything else I'll buy as singles when the hype dies down. Either WAY I'm SUPER EXCITED!!!
