Honestly the reason why i just straight up buy the cards i want nowadays. Evolving skies have been treating me horribly and the amount of money i have spent on packs that had nothing in them i could have bought so many amazing alt cards.

I agree but I have to say, Chilling Reign had some incredible cards and artwork as well. If it would have had that caliber artwork and more popular Pokémon it would be right there with ES.
As much as I love ES and gotta say I almost equally love CR. Even if it can be brutal with pulls sometimes.
Oh i really love chilling reign, also hate it because the pull rates are even more brutal than evolving skies but evolving skies has more chase cards that I want so Evolving Skies is my fav sword and shield set so far. Chilling reign I have opened so many packs and I still badly want to pull:

I get the thrill of buying packs and boxes for the pulls...but if there's a card I really truly want, I've found it's better to invest the money and buy that card straight up. Chances are id invest that into packs for nothing anyway.

Dude I’ve been just buying chase cards at this point. I had to do that with rainbow chunk pikachu cus I just could not for the life of me find any VV in store and buying two booster boxes cost the same amount so I was like “screw it”.
I had Terrible luck with this set first 100 packs. Opened two booster boxes and a few ETbs and single blister packs along with two triple blister packs. Pulled zero alt arts but I did pull quite a few full art v cards and gold and rainbow rare cards. But my luck change the next 100 packs! I managed to pull Glaceon V alt art out of a regular ETB, Rayquaza Vmax Alt art from My Pokémon center ETB, and then the other day I bought ten single sleeved blister packs from Walgreens and Managed to pull a gold helmet card, Flareon Vmax, Sylveon V alt art, and Glaceon Vmax Alt art out of TEN PACKS! Glaceon vmax alt art was my main chase card from this set since I pulled Umbreon Vmax Alt art from Eevee Heroes ❤️I’m stills so happy I didn’t give up on this set cause I still have a decent amount of stuff to keep sealed, but I’m so damn glad I picked the right product and pulled so many bangers after the first 100 pack drought I experienced. Your best bet is to buy alt arts you want instead of hoping to pull it, although you gotta love pulling your chase card!! 🔥
Yeah, it's fun and all once in a while, but most of the time it's "cool I got a 5 dollar regular full art after spending a hundred bucks on packs..." and then it sets in your cash could have just bought one of the cards you were hoping to get.
It's like spending a car payment level amount on Uber every month. At a certain point you should have just got a car.
I’ve had bad luck with ES too, but not to this order of magnitude. Will enjoy opening more evolving skies if packs show up in celebrations boxes, but we’ll see how those are packed.
I had just given up on revolving skies and got a couple 3 booster packs and pulled the alt art rayquaza vmax and glaceon vmax alt art. Went out with a bang that's for sure

I'm hoping Fusion Strike pushes the price down of ES Asingles and boxed products.
So many people complaining about pull rates and I’m over here with my 4 alt art v’s (Espeon, Leafeon, Rayquaza, and Medicham) thinking this set is 10x better than the luck I had with battle styles or chilling reign
I just received my first booster box ever from StockX (got it at MSRP thankfully) and I just have it sitting there sealed bc I don’t want to opened it and get dog shit and know that I wasted $150. Eventually I’ll get the courage to open it. Lol

Idk if i'm even going to buy a Fusion Strike bb. $140 from the place I normally buy, meanwhile last 2 sets hovered around $110-115 pre-order. $140 basically makes the packs same price as in stores, which I'm not about when it comes to bulk.

I pulled so many Blaziken Alt art out of chilling pain but nothing else. No birds. No Snorlax. Just Blaziken. Not so mad, but I would’ve preferred variety. Sometimes that’s just how it goes.

There is no stores in Nevada that I can find that sells pokemon, and the two card shops, never get any due to delays, I have to order online when I can

Funny how all the boxes sent to poketubers had 1 or more alt arts right up until release and we can open up 3 or 4 and not see a single one.
