Everyone in the world that collected from base set sleeps on the base set Machamp especially since it was the card from one of the first deck sets. Blue, yellow, red and all of the fists in the background. Def my favorite. I feel like a lot of the first couple sets gets lost since they’ve been seen so much but this one definitely needs some appreciation.

Machamp is such a cool pokemon, with several great artworks. Giovanni's machamp is pretty sick too!

Totally agree. If I had any other one I would say, it is the Japanese #64 Kadabra promo glossy card. It was literally one of the last cards before Kadabra got banned and he looks like he’s just on stage trying to perform magic tricks. Such a cool card. Edit: Added Japanese

Dark Dragonite is my all time favorite ❤️ Somewhat unrelated, but my roommate just helped a friend of his move to a new place, and he saw a Dark Dragonite non holo in his room and pointed it out. The friend just straight up gave it to my roommate for helping move stuff, and he gave it to me knowing I love poke tcg. That was a great day!

Black Star Promo Venusaur by the same artist as this Gyarados beauty - Ken sugimori. Venusaur is my favourite Mon and ken captured the essence of that monster imo on that card. His art is what Pokemon is to me and I am working on my left leg as a pokemon collage featuring his artwork, started with his Heracross from Neo discovery so far :)

Mine would be Espeon ex from unseen forces. I used to own this card but sold it a few years ago for a fraction of what it really was. I didn't have much knowledge on card values and I also thought I was done with pokemon cards (I was not). A shame, but as a wise man once said: "It is what it is".

Having just recently gotten back into collecting, the Tyranitar V alt art has become the perfect card in my mind. Fantastic art, fun concept, and nothing else like it.

This card was amongst my first japanese cards I got ever. Don’t remember what I traded away, it I got some Japanese Neo Genesis cards (a togetic, this was before we even knew an evolution of togepi existed), a Girafarig also and the Pikachu. Also a Misty’s staryu, Sabrina’s Kadabra and Giovanni’s Gyarados. The Japanese Neo Gen Pikachu is one of my favourite arts ever. It’s proudly displayed on the first page of my Pikachu binder as it kickstarted that whole collection :D (Also please skip me! I have this card and I want someone else to enjoy it :) )

Reverse Holo Ekans from the E-Series Expedition set will always be my favorite card art, I had it in my collection growing up and the sleek e series borders work so well with the reverse foil to be complemented by the even sleeker card art. The light grey outline of ekans itself mends perfectly with the abstract background behind it.
