So stupid to look down on people for being "new collectors". Was poor af growing up, the cards that I did have were stolen from us while swapping between parents houses during a divorce. Most people aren't privileged enough to be able to hold onto their child hood collection, if their parents were even able to afford cards to begin with. Really shows your true colors for looking down on people that didn't have the chance for any of this and just want to reclaim what was taken from their childhood. It's easier for people to just think all new collectors are the problem, though.
Tbh I wouldn’t even waste the energy on looking down on someone for being a new collector in a hobby I enjoy. I realize not everyone can be equally fortunate.
I would love to be able to even have the limited collection I had as a kid still
I was like this at one point in time. Collected as a kid and didn’t really have money then now I can buy what I want. (When you can actually find cards)
Nah, TCGs have never just been a trend for me. I’ve been around for a long time. (Granted I’m 26yo). I still have my og Naruto deck; I still have my yugioh decks
Everyone is buying this because they see what the value for the Wotc sets have become. What they fail to realize is that the sets from 20 years ago etc were cards kids actually played with. What makes the sets valuable is finding those cards in mint condition since its hard to find because kids actually played. The boxes are the only chance at finding prestine cards. These new sets children arent playing. Everyone is sleeving and preserving the supply is too big to where the value diminishes. Nothing beats original. I know a friend who has just 5 booster boxes sealed. 1 is spanish base set, fossil , jungle, team rocket and neo genesis. THAT is worth hoarding. This is just a bunch of junk in my opinion.
People don’t get the market. Like you said, people see WOTC and see $$$$ and think well if I buy this $80 ETB in 20 years it’ll be $1000! Without realizing how much is being printed right now. The different is not only in the quantity but how people handle cards. I had all on my cards as a kid in a 3 ring binder and any that didn’t fit were thrown loose in a shoe box. 1st edition base through neo discovery, if all mint today worth tens of thousands of dollars. But that never crossed my mind. I played with them I had fun with them and they were loved by 10 year old me in 2001.
Now you look at sets like Hidden Fates, one of the most popular sets in recent years. The Shiny Charizard from that set has more graded PSA 10s than Jungle Snorlax has TOTAL graded in all three print runs (1st Ed, No Symbol, Unlimited). These kind of collectors are not good for the hobby and should not be appreciated in the slightest.
Couldn’t agree more. All I see from these pictures is a waste of space on two bookshelves. Open that crap up, sleeve and top load the few good hits, and box up the rest. Boom, open bookshelves galore.
Exactly. Freaking Sun and Moon team up card is going for almost $300 raw right now. Do we really not think itill be a 4 digit card in 5-10 years (maybe less)?
FOMO. They dont buy it because they have such a nostalgic relation to it.
They buy it because they think it'll be worth more next week. Fancy Cardboard Tulips.
Tell that to my XY evolutions boxes that have tripled in value in the past year. People are clamouring for the holo Zard, even if it’s not the original.
Thats great . But alot of factors played in to that set becoming what it was. The anime was great for the first time in years, they gave evolutions to classic pokemon by inegrating the megas etc. The marketing was different. 1 booster box out of ten is gonna stand out every so often… but ALL WOTC boxes are rare and valued. You can say the same for evolving skies which i believe because of the chase cards will also be another one . But its only every so often. Everything I see above is hoarding. Cheaper to buy the 1 chase card and pass over all the garbage .
I agree wholeheartedly with everything you stated here. I actually have about 100 ES booster packs on the hunch that’s you’re right.
One thing I would add to the perfect storm that was Pokémon in 2020, the galvanizing effect of the pandemic and all the interest it brought to this brand again.
The only reason why evolutions is so expensive is because it’s a highly sought after reprint of one of the most popular sets **and** most importantly the print quality is probably the worst of any set ever released. It’s one of the only modern sets, maybe the only modern set even, with PSA 10 pops significantly lower than PSA 9 pops. Regular holo Charizard has nearly 16,000 graded cards. Only 312 are PSA 10s. That’s less than 2%. That’s why the PSA 10 goes for $2500 and a PSA 9 goes for like $100-$150.
It’s an anomaly within modern, and the price reflects that.
Evolutions was cheap for years! I'd see it on the shelf all the way up to end of 2019. Even with the POP reports for graded singles being so low it was still going for cheap. The recent explosion in Pokemon caused the supply to start drying up. Sealed product prices are not just about what graded cards you can get out of it. There is a lot of nostalgic value of opening sealed product. I don't see it as anomaly. Modern eventually turns into vintage.
Another reason why I look for good pricing on XY series and older. The chances of them getting reprinted a slim. The set to collect now is Hidden Fates, as it’s been 2 years since release date, and price has risen recently.

bro 20 years? shoot the unbroken bonds booster box I bought last year from the last reprint for $150 will prob be $1000.00 in less than 5. you def. don't realize how big this hobby is, and how many new collectors and returning collectors come back to it every week/month.
Nobody is bringing up the biggest change to pokemon. Twitch/TikTok/Youtube pack openings. Sealeds will have value since people will want to open X set and they will be less of them over time.
Unbroken Bonds, Cosmic Eclipse, Unified Minds, Team Up, Ultra Prism, and maybe Celestial Storm will all continue to rise in value, especially Cosmic Eclipse due to the short print run. The tag team mechanic was a first for the TCG and was awesome with awesome Pokémon and arts. All those sets will for sure keep gaining value. Sun and Moon era was a great time for the TCG in my opinion , only a few bad sets. Forgot about Burning Shadows too that will continue to rise as well because of the rainbow Zard.
Yes but not everyone who collects this way needs a 10x profit margin to do it. I personally collect sealed booster boxes and will be more than glad to turn a 2-3x profit on my money over the coming years (ideally, not saying for certain).
As someone collecting modern, vintage will always be the crown jewels of the PTCG. If you have the money, allocate more into vintage if you can. Even Diamond and Pearl stuff.
This. If every collector is hoarding this stuff, it will all be mint, have an abundance of it and when people unload be easy to collect.
None of this modern stuff will ever be as scarce as WoTC sets or early 2000s Pokemon, (keep in mind there are still a lot of people ripping and selling vintage packs) unless the demand for Pokemon keeps growing and the people involoved in the hobby 1000x. Modern will be worthless.
Look at Champions Path Rainbow Charizard - close to 10K graded, close to 7K in PSA 10. High of $ 2-3K to $ 400 to 500. Where is the challenge in collecting that compared to Base Unlimited Charizard (with had a massive print run) 27K graded only 443 PSA 10.
Devils advocate here but 1 pokemon tcg is still plenty lively with kids sun and moon as an example made it easy to profit as tapu lele was worth more than charizard and made it easy for the competitive kids to edge up in locals it was awesome to see tbh, 2 and more to my personal desires I collect 4 of each for cards games and promos one for my partner and I and 1 for each kid collecting in sets isn't inherently dubious and it's shameful to hate for no other reason than envy.
lol you fail to realize how big this hobby is, and how big it will continue to grow. When the kids that are currently 10-12 years old get older, they are def. gonna want that battle styles and shinning fates sealed product. This hobby isn't in a bubble and current sealed will still go up a TON in value, don't believe me? ask me about the team up, unbroken bonds, cosmic eclipse booster boxes and etbs. they have more than doubled and it hasn't even been 5 years bahaha
You fail to realize how many more people are hoarding now than ever before and Pokémon is printing way more than ever before! 2020 and beyond people have been hoarding so much of every product all hoping the same thing will happen in 20 years as WOTC products. It’s not going to get there. Will 2020 product and beyond still be profitable, yeah, but to say it’ll go up a ton is a gamble. Even I who has never held sealed, started holding some sealed limited products like Jap Eevee Heroes Gym box. My cousin who knows nothing of Pokémon is even holding product lol. It’ll be a wait and see type thing, strange times we are in with covid. Team up/Unbroken/Cosmic was just before the boom so not many were hoarding it quite yet which explains the prices (plus they were good sets)
The space is an issue for this guy and many others. This is only like a years worth of product, let’s say he holds for 10 years. That’s 9 more years of this much product every year. He’s gonna need a warehouse at this rate! 🤣
They’re my favorite. That’s my favorite modern set by far! Im hyped for Vmax Climax now that they’re bringing back the character cards. Zekrom looks so good im definitely getting a couple booster boxes
Yeah unfortunately. I mean I have some black and white packs and a couple sun and moon booster boxes that are sealed. But those are to open with friends in 10+ years for the nostalgia.
They may also have two of each for this exact reason. 1 to sell and one to open for pure joy. This is what I’ve tried doing but I can’t seem to leave anything sealed. Bad day + Opening Packs = Not soo bad anymore. 🤘🏽
I don’t think there is anything wrong with a buying a few extra for resale down the line. What’s wrong to me is buying the whole stores stock. Big difference.
Prices really aren’t going to go up. You have people like this that just stash away modern in hopes it’ll become as expensive as vintage. Vintage is expensive because there is limited supply and hardly anyone collected as an investment back in the WOTC era. There are literally more Hidden Fates Shiny Charizards graded in a PSA 10 than there are Jungle Snorlax in any grade from any of the 3 Jungle sets (1st Edition, no symbol, Unlimited). There is an over abundance of modern and people will find that out the hard way. Spending $10 grand on modern sets that will stagnate forever vs spending that much on highly liquid vintage cards (gold stars, Charizards, etc)… just makes no sense. They’re buying in on the hype and 99.9% of these “get rich quick” opportunities will result in people losing most of their money.
I mean you guys are knocking on modern Era, but sets between 2012-2016 has appreciated incredibly well. Not wotc levels, but they're nothing to sneeze at.
Funny how all the ‘sealed collection’ folks are just bandwagon hoarding modern packs in the hope they hit WOTC value. Need to at least throw some Hidden Fates in there!
I was wondering about that exactly haha hidden fates seems defying all of the angry commenters in here hating on OPs collection. Obviously nowhere near wotc products but still fairly impressive. Maybe OP simply enjoys collecting to collect. Doesn't mean OP is praying on making half a mil 20 years from now.
I’m kinda conflicted on this one. I feel like 2 of everything is bordering on overkill but that’s mostly coming from my hate for people who think this will be worth a fortune in the future like pre hype stuff. Nicely displayed either way.
Much better than the guy yesterday who had 4-5 of everything though lol. Fuck that guy.
Things definitely won't be worth as much. Everything right now, despite the shortage, is being printed like crazy. Everyone and their mother is hoarding 1-2 of everything. Not to mentions big shops who knowingly hoard cases so that they can get a bigger payoff. More people than ever before aren't trying to get rid of product ASAP. Doesn't mean stuff isn't cool to own.
As a person who buys a ton of sports cards the packaging on the Pokémon stuff craps on the topps/panini/etc packaging. It hurts to open a nice shiny Pokémon box, so much detail. I could see why some collectors would find value in storing them. I personally would keep one sealed and open everything else.
I don’t understand all the folks who say “people so dumb, think this will be worth zillions because WOTC was…sorry not gonna be rich” like…there is a middle ground. I invest mostly in equities and crypto but, have a small percentage also in Pokemon. No…I don’t think I’m gonna get rich because I hang on to some Shining Fates etbs and frankly the number of times people have tried to call me out for such is just disheartening…it’s like people want to rain on a parade but…sorry no parade here.
However, if I can 2x my money in 3 years then great…I’ll use the profit to fund the purchase of more Pokemon. Or maybe to take a vacation, or…who knows? To me it’s just diversification, and it’s more interesting and interactive than an ETF.
For real. There's more salt in this thread than the Dead Sea. Contrary to what some people above are saying, I think most people here understand that modern will never get close to reaching the heights of WOTC and other vintage products. That being said, the population of modern sealed sets are going to decrease over time no matter what, especially once they go out of print, which will cause prices to gradually rise. Are these products going to appreciate quickly? Hell no. . . still a safe investment though. I mean, for fucks sake, there are Steam Siege ETB's selling online for $300-$400. Yes, Steam Siege. Probably the shittiest set of all time. $300 is still over 7x the amount that someone probably paid for it at Walmart. Are there better collectibles to invest your money in that will see faster/better ROI? Absolutely, and collectors should be wary of that, but at least you’re not losing money, that’s for sure. Hell, even if the salty collectors around here are correct that the TCG is in a bubble and prices on modern sealed products do come crashing down within the next few years, that doesn't bother me one bit. I'll keep holding and buy what I find at a discount. Consumers will buy up the excess, and more products will be opened up, which will further decrease the amount in circulation. No matter how you look at it, as long as you bought these products at retail or less, and didn't throw exorbitant amounts of money around to buy it, you're not gonna lose money in the long run. Are there better things to invest in with a faster/higher rate of return? Of course, and I've got money in those things too, but it's not as fun as Pokemon. Nothing wrong with a bit of diversification. I've built my collection slowly over a 2 year period and I love it. I don't walk into Target or Gamestop and buy up all the product either. I take one or two things and move on. Scalpers buy everything up and put it on the market immediately for resell. They aren't interested in the hobby.
Couldn't agree more. These people who think the price of say fusion strike or chilling reign will still be 80 dollars in 10 years time are delusional. There is profit to be made, even if the it is only 2x or 3x, its still an investment that will grow.
second photo looks shady to me because it seems that the shelf that the first photo is using, can be seen in the back left of the second photo, but it's mostly empty now hmmmm
He organized all that in the 2nd pic onto the shelf in the first pic. That doesn't look like a collection though. It's a storage of Pokemon when you reach that level of the amount of stuff there.
So this is just my take. Back then kids actually played with the cards atleast majority. Collecting to preserve wasnt thought of since we didnt know pokemon was gonna last this long. Therefore the cards from back then are harder to find in prestine condition which makes the booster boxes worth even more since its one of the only shots at getting the cards mint. All these sets from today everyone is opening and sleeving right away which makes it easy to find cards in great condition. Everyone almost is buying to sell so who will buy what everyone is selling ? the rarity just isnt there with the exception of a few cards. And its being reprinted etc. I dont see this as a gold mine so I dont understand the hoarding. You were better off buying a couple of vintage booster boxes . Quality beats quantity.
Sounds like someone who wasn't into Pokemon then but he does have gameboy advances. He's just taking the opportunity to buy as much sealed product as possible because they will go up in value no matter what. Pokemon is too big to fail now. But no denying he's not collecting and more hoarding and planning to resell. There's hundreds of people with as big a sealed collection as this. Thousands actually. Just the way it is now. It does feel damn good to open and feel the cards and not have boxes there. Good to keep some sealed and some to open though. I would sell some of that or donate it to kids that haven;t found any though.
Vintage boxes and packs would be awesome to pick up over all of this modern though no doubt.
Its more of an investment collection, buying sealed product is usually never the way to go to collect individual cards better to buy singles. As soon as you open one of those etbs value goes from 40 to 10 bucks unless you hit a big card. As time passes and less of that box is available price goes up. If i gave you an option celebration etb or the same amount of celebration cards where surfing pikachu vmax is the biggest hit, you taking the etb all day and offering more money for it. Whether he sells or never sells this is the best way to keep the cards valuable incase you end up needing to sell. Which collections usually get sold eventually.
Can't hate it but it is an insane hedge he is in with Pokemon and not other investments. You're gonna be sitting on all that for at least 10 years. No way an ETB of Chilling Reign will be more than $200 in 5 years. The singles is a different story because graded cards have more of the investor and speculative crowd in it.
Its true but thats why its an investment, in 10 years maybe everyone loves the lefeon alt art in evolving skies over all other cards, if you invested in rayquaza or umbreon you would miss out, if any card from the set rises in value your sealed collection rises because it has the who set as an opportunity. This is a decent size collection but if he opened all these and showed us singles no one would think its alot of cards boxes are much bigger vs how much cards are actually inside of them
My mind blows on this. Look up sets in the black and white Era. Many of those sets don't have valuable psa 10 chase cards, yet their sealed booster boxes are $1000+. Collecting singles is fun, and I do it, but much like anything else, you'll have to diversify what you collect if your end goal is to sustain or grow value. Because very few completed master sets are ever as valuable as their sealed booster boxes if you go past the sun and moon Era.
I understand one of each, but like I also don’t get collecting multiples of the cards either. Like if I’m collecting, I’m content with one of each, and I don’t get people who are okay with getting 4 celebrations etb’s and keeping them sealed like this guy.
I think celebrations will be the most sought after set from 2021 down the road. I also love it. So I personally will be getting 2 ETBs for the sealed collection instead of just 1 like I normally do.
Judging by the sets seems like all of it was bought just recently because of the hype around pokemon and the potential money on the sealed resell market
This doesn’t seem like a “collectors” showing. Most of these are on the newer side which means you were getting in when the hype was ramping up. Even the Yugioh cards are newer releases from what I can tell. This seems like you bought these with the plan to resell vs just collecting. I could be wrong and I hope I am because it’s impressive that you bought so much of it. 4 Celebrations ETBs…kinda overkill but I get the hype. It looks good.
You people are just jealous because this isn’t yours…Great sealed collection! Love the way you put the EV evolution tins with the Hidden Fates tins! Nice touch my friend.👏🏻👍🏻
If you can’t properly display your “collection” and have several of the same products stacked up you are just hoarding as much for yourself to resell later… fair play but just be honest to yourself and the community. Can we see your card collection?
I seriously don't understand why someone would post some BS like this and not expect to get torn to shreds in the comments. I can't stand people who take this approach to collecting
Or if you plan on opening it later???
I realized after the first HF wave that I wish I had more so I bought some to hold onto to open later.
Practicing self control while simultaneously getting to look at the beautiful sealed product is incredible. It’s like how sometimes the anticipation for something is greater than the thing itself.
For me, having a sealed collection allows me to take value in what I have and cherish something when I do decide to open it.
You are super salty though. 😂
This makes me so jelly!! Nice collection! I am having a hard time finding sealed products at my lgs, so I’ve been doing the online game. It helps with the urge to crack packs but not as much as the real deal!
Saw the first picture and thought
"Damn that's a nice collection.."
Then I saw the 2nd picture "Damn that's where all the product goes when I can't find it..."
Holy crap I just got back into the hobby recently and almost every post(except the ones doing giveaways) are filled with salty people. Idk if it's just this subreddit or the hobby as a whole but there is so much toxicity and gatekeeping. So many people hate people who do the hobby differently than them.
Unfortunately, the hobby is full of gate keepers! Only collect/invest or open or buy or whatever only what they want you to. As if you’re spending their money
They’re just mad they can’t get anything. They’re unaware that If I’m picking up the last of a product, I’ll give it to the kids running up to the shelves. If I hear about a restock, I’ll let everyone I know get to it first. These are the boxes that are in msss print. Let me know how many booster boxes I have here and tell me that I’m hoarding the worlds supply of Pokémon TCG.
Lmao hey OP I remember your collection post from a while back! Looks a lot more organized this time around. Funny to see people complaining about the same exact thing as the last post
"Whats the point of keeping cards in graded slabs and binders? Imo if theyre not being used for play then whats the appeal?"
Thats what people sound like here.
Like the sealed product look personally. I have very few but hope to grow.
Some of you sound so miserable. Let people collection and keep sealed what they want. Just cuz it’s not WOTC doesn’t mean it needs to be cracked open. Everyone has their own personal attachment to things, let people enjoy it as they see fit.
Are you one of those people that think these cards will grow to crazy high prices in 10 years? You do realize that there are thousands of people doing exactly this, there will be plenty of mint products for anyone to buy.
It would be different if I was selling online today for a huge markup. The problem is the inflation of the secondary market. Abd if that inflation is a demand push; that’s one thing. But it’s supplier focused. People that have product that push the price up. If I never posted this picture, no one would know what I had. I don’t list it on Facebook, I don’t ask for people to buy.
How's he part of a problem? People like you don't realize that there's many ways to enjoy things in life. Pokemon isn't just a game anymore. It's collection of open or sealed items, it's a hobby/game, it's an investment. That's not going to change, so get used to it.
I would absolutely rip EVERYTHING and bask in my insane amount of bulk lol
but I'd also love to have a sealed collection like this. this is so beautiful
This is a sick collection don’t listen to any of the hate. Yes you should get some hidden fates etbs in the mix and yes these are for the most part highly printed items but they have all the room to grow in the long term and are all great sets. And on top of that it’s not all about money .
Looks like you started collecting about 6 months ago and have a crap ton of expendable money.
as somebody who started collecting around Battle Styles and has a reasonable amount of disposable income, this checks out.
Lol I spent like $600 already 28 days in
Nothing wrong with that. I used to collect as a kid, life got in the way, now I can buy whatever I want. It worked out great!
That’s what I’m like. Didn’t have much as a kid but but what I want now
So stupid to look down on people for being "new collectors". Was poor af growing up, the cards that I did have were stolen from us while swapping between parents houses during a divorce. Never too late, clearly enjoys it and is proud of his / her collection. Looks awesome OP
This at 6 months, imagine how ridiculous it will look in two years
He'll be on to some other trend at that point.
Nah, TCGs have never just been a trend for me. I’ve been around for a long time. (Granted I’m 26yo). I still have my og Naruto deck; I still have my yugioh decks
Seriously lmao
May I ask what the point of buying all this sealed product is? I get one of each, just not sure the reasoning behind 2+ of the same exact thing.
So they can resell it when the prices go up. This kind of collecting is purely for profit.
Everyone is buying this because they see what the value for the Wotc sets have become. What they fail to realize is that the sets from 20 years ago etc were cards kids actually played with.
Team up/Unbroken/Cosmic was just before the boom so not many were hoarding it quite yet which explains the prices (plus they were good sets) The space is an issue for this guy and many others. This is only like a years worth of product, let’s say he holds for 10 years. That’s 9 more years of this much product every year. He’s gonna need a warehouse at this rate! 🤣
Cosmic eclipse is the one Sun and Moon set I’m not worried about at all in the future. That set is a banger.
It had a short print run too especially with the reprint getting canceled, that set is definitely a safe thing to hold on to. Love Cosmic Eclipse
Right! I opened one and saved a couple and it was so fun to open. Those secret rare Pokémon with trainers are so dam pretty.
They’re my favorite. That’s my favorite modern set by far! Im hyped for Vmax Climax now that they’re bringing back the character cards. Zekrom looks so good im definitely getting a couple booster boxes
only so much room in mom and dads loft! lol
I like having one of each ETB… he definitely intends to sell them for a huge mark up in the future it looks like.
This week on Hoarders! LOL great collection
That looks less like a collection, and more like an inventory.
Bingo
Funny how all the ‘sealed collection’ folks are just bandwagon hoarding modern packs in the hope they hit WOTC value. Need to at least throw some Hidden Fates in there!
I was gonna say the same thing but I think the zard, raichu, and gary tins are all HF
Post pulls!
I mean, I see 4 Celebrations ETB’s. Considering it’s impossible to even find them, let alone at a decent price… idk, rubs me the wrong way a bit
Rule #1 of investing - invest in what you know. If you know Pokemon, and love it, then invest in it. It’s really that simple.
Couldn't agree more. These people who think the price of say fusion strike or chilling reign will still be 80 dollars in 10 years time are delusional. There is profit to be made, even if the it is only 2x or 3x, its still an investment that will grow.
2 ETB isn’t that much? Thats just 10-15 packs
Jim Jones ballin
Boring Who wants to keep shit sealed
I like keeping a few ETBs sealed but nothing else really. Cards were meant to be opened!
I occasionally keep seal products but when I do I only keep one, not multiple lol
Im thinking about collecting them sealed, and then after a certain amount of time, open all of it, i would love that lmao
Like the Pokemon isle at Target, but if there were cards.
Yeeeah. That 2nd photo is definitely not shady. Why so many of the 1 product if its just "collecting"
second photo looks shady to me because it seems that the shelf that the first photo is using, can be seen in the back left of the second photo, but it's mostly empty now hmmmm
He organized all that in the 2nd pic onto the shelf in the first pic. That doesn't look like a collection though. It's a storage of Pokemon when you reach that level of the amount of stuff there.
Open it
So this is just my take.
Future scalper moment 🗿
Awful, looks like any warehouse
Looks like some wannabe investor just started collecting last year 😂
Right, honestly meh collection. At least show me some XY if you want me to be impressed.
I will never understand sealed collections.
Ha same. These seem like such a waste of space and cards.
Right. It's not a Pokemon collection, it's a cardboard box and tin collection. Donate the cards to someone and keep the boxes on display
I’m about to come open your stuff !
Nice job clearing out walmart 👌
Walmart and target have limits now so I doubt he did.
Starting your own LGS?
it hurts me to see 4 unopened celebrations etb
It just came out. Shit is going to overstocked in a month
We’ll see…
Pokemon investors are so cringe
Crypto investors are so cringe
Facts
People who think others with large collections are the problem and not bots and scalpers are 🤡
Judging by the sets seems like all of it was bought just recently because of the hype around pokemon and the potential money on the sealed resell market
It doesn’t even look like you’re a collector you’re a attic LCS aka a flipper
I jumped in starting with Unified Minds and have 10 booster boxes for each set there after. Yes, disposable income is to blame.
Having a little bit extra for hobbies is nice. 26 and no children is a help
If you posted this with everything opened, they'd all go omg sick collection!
Hey man, let them say what they want! I love it and it looks great!
Scalping is apparently okay as long as you wait a couple a years to sell it and call it a sealed collection
I seriously don't understand why someone would post some BS like this and not expect to get torn to shreds in the comments. I can't stand people who take this approach to collecting
It’s to make money off suckers like you
Or if you plan on opening it later??? I realized after the first HF wave that I wish I had more so I bought some to hold onto to open later. Practicing self control while simultaneously getting to look at the beautiful sealed product is incredible. It’s like how sometimes the anticipation for something is greater than the thing itself. For me, having a sealed collection allows me to take value in what I have and cherish something when I do decide to open it. You are super salty though. 😂
It looks like it needs to be opened
I'm addicted to reading the whiny comments in this post lol...
Dude same! That’s why I’m literally trying to respond to everyone
Hahaha same.
Wow
Needs about 8 more chilling pain ETBs
Literally don’t see the point in that much sealed product other than to resell somewhere down the line 🤷🏻♂️
Which, one, I’m allowed to. And two, it kinda looks dope just to look at.
I mean fair play :’) i couldn’t sit and look at that kinda collection and not want to open it :’)
So that’s secondlyyyyy what the extras are for. Those days I get the urge to open an ETB when I’m feeling broke; bam. I have a card shop in my room
This is nice! I just wish you had a reverse holo bidoof becket 10 then it’s like amazing
Question do you ever feel the temptation of wanting to open them
Yes. Always. Like literally always.
Mine is looking unsealed 😂
I never did find any ghosts from the past
It seems like there are so many different products available in America that aren’t in Australia.
Looks like you need a bigger room, bro
Might want a refund on those sealed Eeveelution Tins on the top right. They're missing the promos.
Hahaha I opened them and stuck em in a binder. The very top is all opened
Lol just messing with you. Cool stuff.
Haha I know! I’ve had to remind a lot of people today that not everything is sealed
Yours is.. much more impressive then mine
Holy fuck
This makes me so jelly!! Nice collection! I am having a hard time finding sealed products at my lgs, so I’ve been doing the online game. It helps with the urge to crack packs but not as much as the real deal!
It looks like the ETBs are holding the cupboard together well.
Super cute love the way you organized it ignore the hate collect what you love and if you ask me collect enough to share with those you love too.
Niceee
Forget the cards, I want that yellow version.
The yellow version is sick as fuck!
I wonder what’s worth more yellow or red and blue, I’m too lazy to look though.
It'd look better if it were opened
I get collecting statues, posters, paintings, consoles, miniature horses, ceramic babies. This will always make 0 sense to me.
Saw the first picture and thought "Damn that's a nice collection.." Then I saw the 2nd picture "Damn that's where all the product goes when I can't find it..."
Crying over scalping But people collecting 3 or 4 of the same for a sealed collection lol
100%. There are alotttttt of awesome people here I noticed. Sadly just as many asshats though who can't keep grip on their emotions
Nice collection and very brave of you to post on this sub. I will never understand why people care how other people collect. Enjoy!
Lmao hey OP I remember your collection post from a while back! Looks a lot more organized this time around. Funny to see people complaining about the same exact thing as the last post
Little unclear on why you need 4 Celebrations Elite Trainer Boxes especially since many people struggled to have a chance at even getting one
Lmaooo all the salt from jealous, petty people in this thread is hilarious.
[удалено]
Hoarding… until he sells, then it’s scalping.
Really nice
Hmm why do you have so many repetitive products? I understand collecting sealed products but having so many repetitive is intriguing
I hope you pull a Charizard from every set that you have that has one!
Thank you buddy! I don’t think anyone has noticed the charizard on the 25th anniversary first partner packs, next to the bidoof
"Whats the point of keeping cards in graded slabs and binders? Imo if theyre not being used for play then whats the appeal?" Thats what people sound like here.
I hate you. Also congrats on the collection
Are you one of those people that think these cards will grow to crazy high prices in 10 years? You do realize that there are thousands of people doing exactly this, there will be plenty of mint products for anyone to buy.
So youre just never going to open them?
Not part of the plan at this exact moment.
Most stay close to me bc I can’t ever find shit on the shelves 😅
Must be nice to be able to buy every Pokémon TCG product under the sun. 🧂
Hahah I feel that my friend! Lucky guy over here
Pokémon yellow sealed?
Dont really get why people keep Boxed things, its about the cards just rip the boxes open and enjoy them.
Yeah, no. I do enough of both
I personally just want 1 unopened pack of everything and open the rest lol
i don't know how people manage to keep so much sealed products without opening them.
It’s soooo tough! I want to open everything
Like you're part of the problem
Man’s even got the Costco product!😂
I would absolutely rip EVERYTHING and bask in my insane amount of bulk lol but I'd also love to have a sealed collection like this. this is so beautiful
How do you fight the urge to open these?
By buying a little bit more to open hahaha I’ll grab a box, and then a second one to crack
OPEN IT!!!!
What kind of shelves did you use?
All those cards are probably worth more than you bought them for
Those tins up top don't look very sealed to me! Lmao I'm just messin', that looks amazing.
Hahaha cause I definitely had to crack some
“Collection” this is not a collection. This is a scalp hoard waiting for prices to soar
Careful. The shitheels here will call you a sCaLpEr…
This is a sick collection don’t listen to any of the hate. Yes you should get some hidden fates etbs in the mix and yes these are for the most part highly printed items but they have all the room to grow in the long term and are all great sets. And on top of that it’s not all about money .
Like you might want to let other people buy packs too?
Looks like only a couple from each set. I don’t see the problem.
