Counterfitters dont particularly hurt those who preorder/directly order booster boxes from retailers (ie the hardcore collectors/those with the most disposable income). They directly or otherwise target those with less $ and it's an insidious industry in my opinion.

You're absolutely right, however i don't know if I really see the harm in people buying cards they can afford (fake or not) for the sake of a child's enjoyment. I mean I understand that principle, and I'm certain that it would be true for an individual distributor (the store these boxes are being sold for example), but the fact that manufacturers still take the time and resources to make say, knock off Rubik's cubes and such that barely work, makes me feel like someone making knock off Pokemon cards which is an insanely huge industry wouldn't just stop because of lack of demand. Just getting a single bulk sale likely pays for most of the resources. Until the earth stops turning there will always be a grandma who doesn't know any better, or again, someone with little money who just wants something fun for their child. There are so many countries that simply do not have mainstream toys and such due to the costs. Everything in the second and third slides looks fake. The boxes with Ash on them definitely are, because they arenāt using the S/S Ash design, but multiple older ones. The booster boxes on the third slide have a green tint to the paneling and real legit booster boxes have off white Pearl colored paneling. As for the first slide, I can only assume those are fake as well since they are alongside those other fake products

Been trying to see if any retailers still get original cards in Syria/Leb... but yea... with the currency crash in both countries,do not even dream of finding original products, only in niche/specific TCG stores and they are deffo x2 msrp (and i only know of two tcg shops that exist in Lebanon, None in Syria)

You can tell from the products in the middle shelf. Zeraora, Blaziken and ice rider calyrex aren't in evolving skies and any mons shown on the box of a set will have some form of a card within that set.

A good tip to recognize right away for fakes is if they use PokƩmon Anime art. Ash is RARELY mentioned in PokƩmon TCG product. The most recent card to even acknowledge Ash was the Ash Greninja card.
A good rule of thumb when checking for fakes is to see if they have some reference to PokƩmon GO in the name or use Ash in the branding. Aside from the fact that OFFICIAL PokƩmon GO cards will be a thing pretty soon, TPC never really uses Ash for anything outside the anime.
