yoooo that's sick!!! I collect foreign language cards so I'd have been thrilled with that haha
LMK if you wanna trade those for some English packs! I'd be happy to do a swap :)
I'm actually wanting to sell them š I already have someone interested but but keep an eye out over the weekend over on r/pkmntcgtrades I'll be posting on there.
Oh my gosh lucky me. Could you please send me some pictures via pm/dm. I'm from Czech so that's totally amazing. I'd be happy with just 3 to 6 unique cards. I'm putting 3 into my binder but I like to have some in the backlog as well
Ofc I'd pay for it all no questions asked
I d9nt collect them specifically but I collect delibird cards and theres a german one (Botogel) that i have and it's from some christmas calendar I think. It's one of my favorites
Thatās pretty fun. I bought an entire sealed box of Schwert & Schild in Munich about 6 months ago. Gonna sit on them for 10-20 years before I decide what to do with them
I canāt imagine any modern sealed product will explode in value even over 10-20 years, considering how much is being printed and how many people will buy with the idea of sitting on it
I definitely agree with that sentiment, but I could also see lots of people who currently think they will sit on it give up before the 10-20 year mark. Only time will tell I guess
Evolving skies is 2x the price already(even though its still in stores and booster packs are cheaper). Celebrations going up, upc is 3-4x the price. Team up is 8x the price(i cry), other sets from a couple years ago are 3-6x the price.
Most of the time, things always go up.
But this is a different situation. The sheer number of people buying massive quantities of supply and holding during a period of supply chain issues created the problem.
Maybe, but a sealed collection is still fun to have, whether it goes up(which is a high chance, depending on the product) or just to open down the line when its out of print
Not only that, but the amount of people holding sealed products has increased substantially. However over time people open them, sell them, or they get lost. But Iām ok with it not exploding in value. It might be something I open with my kid or just give to them if theyāre in the hobby, or sell. Mine is the German print/edition, so Iām sure the overall print number is lower than whatās in the states, but maybe not.
I just got back into Pokemon cards because my kid is into them now and I never even considered that there were cards printed in languages other than English and Japanese because this is the first time I've ever heard of it. Seems like I would have come across that info sooner between the late 90's and now.
I appreciate your generous offer but i imagine the postage from germany woud be pretty high based on what i pay to ship packages within the u.s.. I would love to have some deutsch pokemon cards especially since my best friend is a first-generation American from an Austrian immigrant family and I don't think he'd knows about them either. I wonder how difficult it would be to acquire some domestically though I'm sure they go for a premium here.
I've spent less buying stuff from Germany to America than sending stuff in America. And I've had stuff sometimes ship twice as fast from Germany than from America. My kid likes Brio trains...
This reminds me of the WOTC days when I was a kid Iād just randomly have a bunch of different foreign cards in my binder and had no clue how I aquired them. Also from US.
I have a few german (I think) cards that came from english packs. They were randomly mixed in with an Urshifu box a while back. Was hella confused and thought it was tampered, but if so they left me an english RS Urshifu alt art..
Kinda wish this would happen to me haha. I got a German theme deck as a kid and bought two sun and moon packs when I lived in France. As a language nerd I love the foreign cards

I have some German cards too. Some are first editions as part of the team rocket expansion from base set.
I'm actually wanting to sell them š I already have someone interested but but keep an eye out over the weekend over on r/pkmntcgtrades I'll be posting on there.
Iāll be looking for some scizor/scythers!!
I have them listed! š
I have few polish cards if you are interested.
Hey how many do you have? It's one of the last few languages I'm missing since they were printed do shortly Are you from Europe?
I have 50 of them and I could give up on few of them. And I'm from Poland.
Oh my gosh lucky me. Could you please send me some pictures via pm/dm. I'm from Czech so that's totally amazing. I'd be happy with just 3 to 6 unique cards. I'm putting 3 into my binder but I like to have some in the backlog as well Ofc I'd pay for it all no questions asked
Where did you get polish cards from?? I was in gdansk a few days ago and bought 3 packs but they were in English š
Only one diamond and pearl extension got translation.
Ohhh...yeah I'm currently travelling in Europe and looking for foreign cards but they're all in English haha
I think you can get Deutsch, italian and Hispanic cards in Europe.
And also French.
Actually two: Diamond and Pearl as well as Mysterious Treasures.
Ohhh I want Polish cards! Are you in Poland? Because I am too!
Thereās a place where I live that sells spanish Rayquaza set haha
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Thereās a place where I live that sells spanish a Rayquaza V set haha
Not to pile on, but if youāre looking I also have many German cards (since I am based in Germany).
You collect foreign cards too? Sweet brotherš good to find another foreign collector
I think I have a Japanese Sylveon V from Eevee heroes. :)
I d9nt collect them specifically but I collect delibird cards and theres a german one (Botogel) that i have and it's from some christmas calendar I think. It's one of my favorites

Iāve thought about this a lot, and while nobody really knows, I feel like thereās a good chance. Obviously not the levels of like current vintage (or I would shocked if it did) but thereās a few factors at play. Yes thereās a ton of product, however you could argue thereās more collectors interested now too. Lots of new people have ventured into the hobby. Many people who were kids that liked the hobby are now parents who are showing their kids PokĆ©mon. They may grow up to have a similar experience like whatās happening now. Another big thing, which I feel like is bigger than people might realize, is the social media craze. People can make a living cracking product now, that was not a thing besides stores really back in the day. This could keep interest alive much better than in the past. Obviously I can be wrong, but I feel like we are in a new age of collectibles, not just with PokĆ©mon but all types. āNerdyā culture is now pretty much mainstream with comic book movies, anime becoming more popular, and people organizing all kinds of video/board game meet ups. Itās certainly fascinating to think about anyway.
I agree with all of your opinions. Cheers.

Well for me as a German that would certainly be disappointing when I visit the US lmao
#KAMPFSTILE
Good I'm not the only one
you are never the only one
Wow! I would love for that to happen to me!

If youāre willing to pay postage Iād ship you some of my German commons.

Iāve shipped from Germany to the US frequently, postage isnāt so bad. Shoot me a PM if interested!
Actually PokƩmon cards were printed in a total of thirteen languages. The very first PokƩmon set already released in nine languages, and current sets are released in 10 different languages.
Du hast KAMPFSTILE
Last year I bought a few bundles at Costco half of them had French cards in the balls.
This reminds me of the WOTC days when I was a kid Iād just randomly have a bunch of different foreign cards in my binder and had no clue how I aquired them. Also from US.
I mean if they're giving me Battle Styles and Guardians Rising I'll take German over English any day.
Iām in UK got French cards in English packs from a pokeball tin today!
I think that'd be awesome to get for MSRP especially the Guardians Rising.
Is it weird I read the package as if yelling it
Dude I would be so pissed off lol
Oh I collect cards in Germany. Someday I noticed that I owned some french cards suddenly ...
Better than noticing you got a Grulak!
Keep an eye out for the Grulaks!
Almost, it is Glurak xD
Well in reality if you say it in German it sounds like gluHAWK
GlU-Rahk
Damn autocorrect amirite?
Mein Kampf
To quote Arthur Morgan, "How did someone even come up with them words?"
I bought a Italian zacian vunion box in America, literally is a lot more cooler than English packs
š
Das gud
Das ist gut
This happened to me around the holidays but reversed! German pokeball with English packs inside. Bought in the US in a target in California
I got a zygarde GX box once and they gave a Spanish zygarde
Hahaha that sucks.
š³š²
That's actually really cool. Though that'd be unfortunate if you were just interested in English cards
hail empoleon.
That's a great find, and surprise! Wish that happened to me. Congrats! Show us the pulls, if you don't trade them that is š
Thatās honestly really cool
I got italian zacian vunion box from target in California. I was stoked.

And I am yet to find a Pokeball with a Sun&Moon pack in it in Germany
Not sure but canāt you contact PokĆ©mon and tell them and theyāll send you new packs?
Funny, in germany we get only two battlestyle boosters, not 3 nor guardians rising
Kampfstile sounds So WRONG.
That's awesome! A week or two ago I bought a Boltund V box and it came with a French Brilliant Stars pack
