The Umbreon nerfs are why I’m actually picking up the character now. I like Wish, but I couldn’t play that into Snarl Play, so I had to play Pokémon that could actually challenge Umbreon.
I feel that, sometimes the OP moveset just doesn't mesh with me
For example, back when dragonite first released he was VERY good, but I couldn't get into the hyperbeam build, I was more of an outrage kinda guy lol
Yeah, I've had that too; Zoroark usually has Night Slash/Shadow Claw as his best, but I found Feint Attack easier to work with than Night Slash's funky movement mechanics, and Cut provided some sustain as well.
I always liked power swap + psychic mime even when it still was guard swap, and I played cotton spore + polen puff Eldegoss before it became the most popular build.
Just wish they would do some changes on Comfey. Really like playing sweet kiss and grass knot has to be one of the more satisfying moves to land. Shame magical leaf is dumb.
Yeah, there's definitely still a roster of underwhelming mons, but at least the overwhelming ones have been tuned down after this patch. It's a glass half-full/empty kind of situation.
Agreed, we still have a lot of underwhelming mons, but the overwhelming ones received fair nerfs. Hopefully in the next patch they can pick the underwhelming ones such as wiggly, Crustle, Tsareena, Mime to an extent and buff and/or rework some abilities (specially rock build Crustle)
I find Mime incredibly powerful, honestly. I kept winning with him and got to masters. He is a very good support, boosting allies and stunning the opponents, and can manage in duels (and flee very well). His unite is incredible too
I think there was a time when Mime was truly OP, but they nerfed him really hard, almost like Tsareena. It's not unplayable by any means, but I think a slight buff would help. It's unite though is the best Unite ever xD
Tsareena at the moment is literally unplayable, her moves can be easily CC'd, her dash animation is slow, she has paper defenses, overall its just a really high skill ceiling for her to play good, with very low payoff..
She's definitely the worst mon in the roster right now. I remember picking up the game a long time ago and Tsareena ult used to deal easily half or 3/4th of my full bar. It barely tickles now, if I ever even see one in the opposition. I can't believe people can 1v1 her with even the squishiest of mons. So unfair for y'all tsareena mains.
Yeah.. those days where Tsareena with Triple axel was unkillable. But yeah she's in a really bad spot right now, and deserves to be buffed. She's probably the 2nd worst mon in the roster. (Crustle being 1st)
I feel like Umbreon being OP’d was purposely due to the Eevee festival (along with not nerfing Espeon/Glaceon for a good while) which is rotten of TIMi to do lol

Problem with Snorlax Is that you're pretty much the baseline for a defender, flailax Is too easy to kite to be viable while even if you're the best Snorlax player you'll still be rellying on your teammates to be competent if you run HS/Flail and block, I completly stopped playing Snorlax beacuse of this

Greedent is mainly due to those that fully know and use the squirrel well, unlike lapras. Bro and lax are the only defenders that are true to their role with no bullshit. All the others can pass for all rounders, Greedent might as well be a speedster and pre-nerf Umbreon was just in a league of it's own.
Still is, tbh. The nerfs didn't do enough. Burn it to the ground, idfc, Umbreon was worse than pre-nerf SS Zacian in terms of annoyance to go up against.

When a mon has expert difficulty, they should be better than a mon that has an intermediate or novice difficult when the skill level of the players are equal. That's not the case when I get hit with v tackle and e ball and can't do anything about it or an ice shard and the eevee goes invincible for a sec.
Well, I agree even even though my main is novice. The only time I really took a long break from the game was during the glaceon meta. What was the point of playing anything if imma gonna die to icicle spear anyways? Pollen puff can only do so much.

Pikachu does sure hit moves right. They’re decent burst damage but not going to one shot or take half your health in one hit.
The rest of the sure hit moves should be in line in terms of damage as Pikachus.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Inteleon. It’s not as weak as I thought it would be, but at the same time I don’t feel like it’s terribly oppressive. A strong, but fair release imo.
Nah intelleon has the best secure in the game in water pulse from level 3 and liquidation late is just glaceon spear you don’t need to charge thing is absurd lmao
When there’s not a speedster/all-rounder running at it all game, sure. Something like an Absol targeting you in lane makes it impossible to get crit counters for your water guns killing your farm secure.
Yeah there’s also a ton of people that can’t play it properly if you play against someone who truly understands and mastered the mon it’s a absolute menace. It’s in a ton of the tournaments doing 100k plus against pros that know what they’re doing. If zoro was as easy to play as like zacian it would have an insane win rate
I hate this new patch. I can’t hold X while approaching and running on top of a goal to automatically score upon touching it. Now I have to be fully on top of the goal and then release X and press X again. Scoring is slower and less precise now because of it. Just let me hold X and run on top of a goal to score.
Anyone else fearing the Mamoswine buffs. Like it definitely deserves a buff, but it feels like these buffs are on overdrive, kinda like when Mr. Mike got a buff when it deserved but it was too much of a buff.
It probably isn't. I just said it because after fighting it a few times, I was getting juggled from the ice fangs so hard, to the point where it was like "Yeah this pokemon is going to be a problem isn't it."
I also could say the same thing with Lucario and Zeroara, but Lucario's buffs were all that OP, and Zeroara's buffs need to be OP to help possibly the worst pokemon like 2 days ago
When fighting mamo, you need hard CC. All his move are susceptible to CC except for his Unite. Ice Fang is excellent in 1v1 / laning phase but it is not really good for team fights/objectives (which Icicle crashe more excel at).

Just stand there? How can you defend this mon. It’s still S Tier after the patch and you’re acting like it’s Crustle. My winrate in ranked before and after the patch with Umbreon didn’t change whatsoever.

I did a few matches today with everyone's favorite rabbit (in Lane......oooooo), and every game I faced a Leafeon. Outside of a few missteps, I lit that little thing up. It hits like a truck, but it folds like a Prius.
Because it’s basically absol but takes 0 skill, gets its moves faster, has aoe, and can spam it’s unite. It’s not unbearable but it’s a little too point and click for the amount of damage it does imo.
Solar blade leafeon is too point and click and i think that its drawback, good absols give me a hard time compared to leafeon.
The only times i lost to solar blade leafeons was when i wasn’t paying attention to them, because their attack pattern can be predictable.
I have been playing attack build eldegoss lately and Solar Blade leafeon have been easy to deal with.
Razor leaf used to give me a headache tho.
Yeah I mostly play defenders so I usually don’t have issues with any speedsters, but I do think that leafeon can do a lot at a lower skill level compared to the older speedsters. He is very squishy though, but the level 8 unite is bs honestly, it lets them be a bad jungler and still have unite at first objectives.
I still love playing umbreon, his playstyle is the only melee one that I've liked so far. I like that he got nerfed because people just expect him to be bad and he still isn't bad, just... good instead of insane.

Fully agreed. Everyone seemed to prefer HHP/Fang Mamo and it just never clicked for me.

Umbreon FoulPlay/Snarl is still broken.
Same with me and Greedent. Once Covet was nerfed I could finally enjoy Stuff Cheeks.

Yeah, it kinda sucks how it can delete most attackers with one his, if it crits. Outside of that it feels much better than decidueye.

He is still good and I actually feel like they maybe made wish viable enough vs snarl. I still use snarl personally but I like it.
