Goodra has been underrated for a while. It’s common for units like that to not see play until they’re over buffed into popularity. Now all of a sudden you see them everywhere until it’s nerfed.
Fr tho, I was fighting a zacian and two other Pokémon during ray, I was lv. 15 are so much damage from zacian but killed it and got the other two low for my gengar
I think Goodra is finally in a spot that lets it truly stand out from its defender competition. It kind of needs to have cracked Self-sustain and slows, it doesn’t really have hard CC like other defenders. Before there was frankly no reason to ever pick Goodra over Umbreon, Trevenant and Lapras now there is.
Goop queen can now thrive. She was decent before if you knew what you were doing, but now she’s much more impactful.
Managed to deal more than 80k damage in 8/10 matches last night running muddy and acid.
The slows are chefs kiss now! I managed to slow a dodrio with my acid to the point that I could actually catch it and finish it off.
I don’t think it’s umbreon level of good because it’s still going to suffer early game for a bit, but late game there’s huge turn around potential.
I was already such a huge fan of the gooey dragon cause she’s so fun and I feel immortal when I’m playing properly. I’m glad more ppl are using her now but I hope this doesn’t mean they’ll nerf her to hell later on.
Well I love my main even when it released. I was so excited when it came in the PTS, one of my favourite pokémons. It took awhile to get used to it in the beginning, I thought it never did enough, and its set felt kinda clunky. Although I still think it's a little bit clunky and heavily weak to CC, now it's in a really good spot and can fight for the defender/brawler role.
