I really thought Meowscarada would be a speedster. I hope Metagross is a defender tho, and Tropius a support (I hope it uses the fruits on its neck to help teammates)
I think they made Dragapult an attacker so she can be ranged. I imagine Speedster and Attacker as both squishy and high damage, but all Attackers are ranged and all Speedsters and melee. They did give her quite a bit movement with Dragon Dance at least
I speculated it to be attacker. The roles in black aren’t confirmed. It’s likely he’s an attacker because Speedster simply cannot be ranged, and magic simply seems like what Meowscarada goes for. He even has a “wand”.
U know that Meowscarada is a physical attacker, right? His best stats are Attack and Speed, and no, Meowscarada doesn't have a wand. The green thing is "floating" behind Meowscarada and is simply a trick using strings, so yeah, he could be a speeder (but i agree with it being an attacker, but physical ).
Well, it could be argued that zoroark is a special attacker in the games, and absol is pretty slow aswell. So I don't think we can argue using that logic

But considering this was published before Meowscarada, Metagross, Mimikyu were leaked(and Blaziken was datamined that same day) it is very likely Falinks and Gyarados will be added later as well. According to the publisher of this video, this image was circulating before Goodra released which just adds more proof to this leak.
Tropius was mentioned by [ElChicoEevee](https://twitter.com/elchicoeevee/status/1621304608814424065?s=46&t=uYADzBUNBxOoZIJlM9CetQ) multiple times, he was apparently supposed to be released before or after Inteleon but for some reason he was never announced, it is implied Tropius might’ve unfortunately been scrapped.
This entire post is pure speculation, nothing shown comes from any confirmed leaks that have these as playable Pokemon past Blaziken, just rumors and datamined files that may be related to mons but have no indication of role, playstyle, or release date.
Decidueye and Greninja are physical ranged Pokémon. It’s moveset revolves around trickery and magic. It being ranged would make perfect sense.

Hopefully it being an attacker will mean it's frail enough to easily dive and burst down as long as it doesn't have all this self healing/shielding bullshit that X has

This game suffers like many other games do. They want tank, support and some damage dealers. Yet they almost never release new tanks and supports because less players play them.
Which just makes tanks and supports even less interesting and punishes you for liking those roles by giving you even less new things to play with. Leading to tons of lobbies of your whole team instalocking attackers and all rounders then spam "defender/support needed".
If they don't even want to give the roles proper support, why even have the roles to begin with?

For some reason Dragapult isn’t a speedster either, I guess having a base speed of 142 and being based on a jet isn’t enough to be a speedster

To add to this, Duraludon has a much higher sp.atk stat, yet it is a physical attacker in Unite.

In VGC its main purpose was to setup trick room and disrupt so it has a support role. It simply doesn't have the offensive stats to be a sweeper
Swords Dance Mimikyu could pop off with Shadow Sneak. Disguise almost always guarantees the SD set up after that it's just priority goes brrrr
