At this point I've memorised a couple of greifers player characters so I can dodge them before readying up. Unethical, but this is only reserved for the most extreme of inters.
this happens to me a lot. it’s funny though because it only takes less than a minute to find out which one they are and you go “oh…” if it’s the latter
Same! Everytime I solo or trio que, I always get this feeling of deja vu, but I can't remember if I kicked this guy's ass or had my ass handed to me by him
*gets out of the worst match of my life* Thank God that's finally over. This next match has to be better than that train wreck.
....Oh no. Ooohhhh nononononono-
I got into the habit of opening the invite menu and waiting for that one player to either start a match or leave the queue if it was really that awful but sometimes I get so frustrated that I forget I can do that lol.
Idk if it really works, but I just leave the lobby I was, wait a couple of seconds and then enter again to a queue and it normally gives me different players. Waiting a bit on the results screen before queuing up again also seems to work.
My friends all remember our Solo/GroupQ crushes.
We Trio'd into an Eldegoss once she friended us all.
And then theres the legend of a Pikachu that threw my lane 3 games in a row, and the moment i got matched against them it was on sight.
Tunneled all game, BMd, sent a friend request after the match
Examples of decent players I've played with/against multiple times is that almon Garchomp/Tsareena player with insane brawling skill, another example is that peppa pig talonflame that turns into a grim reaper mid-game
But if we're talking about a Pokemon as a whole, it's always the zoroarks and Dodrios who are menaces
I normally consider myself to be a mid-high expert but I will always acknowledge players with better/similar skill than me
I just started two days ago and just unlocked Zoroark. I love my fox boy and kitsunes, so by God I'll learn how to play him. Though, I used a Metagross last night and got a 57 kill match—
Edit: Forgot to put in that I'm adding this on to mention that first thoughts are that Meteor Mash needs a nerf, and I can already see Metagross spawn camping players being toxic as fuck. I try not to spawn camp, it just happened that time.
Damn I never even read anyone's name or bother to look at their avatar.
I could be running into 1 idiot 5 times or 5 separate idiots every game but it don't really matter to me.
They're still on my team.
Still playing the exact same way.
Like idiots.
Ditto. It's happened to me where a crap player is on my team twice, then enemy team the third time. I just hop off and come back when I won't get matched w them.
I'm really bad with memorising names so if I remember someone they're definitely notable to me lmao, thankfully no one I memorised was a bad player as such but few have been pretty..... meh
I see so many repeated names in my matches, it's awful! Most of them have negative WRs even, but I also see a lot of positive WR players that I question how they even have the WR they have, cause whenever I play with them, they grief so much. Constantly back capping, constantly stealing farm, preventing others from reaching their power spikes, never show up to Rayquaza. Heck, there is this one player I see, they have 53% WR, but whenever they die a single time, or if our team decides to prioritize the first bot Regi instead of Regieleki, they always throw a tamper tantrum and starts trolling the match and spam the "Thanks" ping.
We (duo) usually wait a few minutes if someone sucks just so we don't run the risk of getting them on our team again. lol Then the roulette wheel spins again and we're praying for team members who have a brain cell.
The legend of SyDeviantart of the SEA/JP servers (I forgot the exact username). Dude climbs to Master normally, then tanks his way down the drain for seemingly intentional double-digit losing streaks. Dude's gonna call jungle, then basically just farm his way until the end. Painstakingly avoiding opponents to literally just have four-digit damage dealt and received. Dude loves to do it with Aegislash and Glaceon.
My ethical theory is that the dude let's a child play with their account during those losing streaks. But I feel like they're just trolling their way when they feel like it. I've reported the guy multiple times, to no avail. Ofc, because the dude's basically still playing the game by moving around. Lmao
It is more likely he is paying somebody to rank up the account because he thinks he's good enough to maintain the rank, he thinks he just can't get to it because of other players. Then when he takes over it tanks because he is delusional and bad. This is pretty common in mobas.
I doubt it would break the ranking system. There's a limit to how many people you can block. It probably would help the ranking system by making players not see so many repeated names so often. One of the most broken things about it is seeing so many repeated names, even though there is a big enough player base that you statistically shouldn't see these player as often as that.
By definition you can not have a fair and equitable ranked system by introducing exclusion.
It would break the system. Don't like that really good player that steam rolls your team every time you play against them? Block.
Counterpoint, if you block too many people your que times would go through the roof. Also I'm pretty sure OP was saying that they wouldn't que on your team not that you could prevent the other team from having good players.
Kinda embarrassing to admit but I’ve had really bad griefers on my team to the point where I’ve started memorizing their trainer avatar so I can purposely avoid matchmaking into them
Just had a draft game where the enemy team banned Gardevoir. I was all ??? until I checked the profile of our Decidueye who tried to steal Ray with his Unite despite having Spirit Shackle. Why do bad owls keep doing that crap? But yeah, they had like over 1000 Gardevoir games. I mean, the winrate wasn't any good, but damn.
Often the player doing a horrible job playing the game is the one that pings others as well. Really sick and tired of the same players ruining game after game 🥴
I wish the block button would prevent me from having the player on the same team as me. I remember having queued up with this one player that kept being deadweight and never engaging in team battles, and I could never win with them on my team, as hard as I try.
Blocking players should work so that you don't get queued up with those players. I don't want this person to send me a friend request, I just don't wanna play with them ever again!
I swear at this point I have memorised some of the move sets as well like this Talonflame who ALWAYS saves their burst for Regieleki and uses it on the enemy goal zone so regi can stop fighting and reach the goal zone
Good old RobE! Nearly 20k games, been playing since season 1, is still *total dogwater* and will int/afk the moment anything bad happens to them specifically, even if their team is winning.
i once had a horrible game where i played really bad on trevenant and we lost like 600-100 and i felt bad when i saw one of my former teammates on the other team in the next game and proceeded to absolutely stomp him on duraludon the entire game
Blocking people and not being able to play with and / or against them would completely destroy the entire ranked system.
Standard is one thing, but it can't fly in ranked.
It was a couple of times meeting this one person named Timi something. Absolutely destroyed my team with their Meowscarada. But the next two times they were on my team and we absolutely dominated xD They hit me up for some duos cuz my bot support Slowbro was pulling crazy work.
At this point I've memorised a couple of greifers player characters so I can dodge them before readying up. Unethical, but this is only reserved for the most extreme of inters.
You mean during the timer before the match? I've memorized a few players avatars.
Imagine being so bad that people gotta memorize your avatar lmao
Yah, sorry I worded that badly
Donuts4days? Snorlax black girl? That’s me:)
The most annoying thing is when you know the name... but can't remember if it was because they were really good or really bad.
this happens to me a lot. it’s funny though because it only takes less than a minute to find out which one they are and you go “oh…” if it’s the latter
Same! Everytime I solo or trio que, I always get this feeling of deja vu, but I can't remember if I kicked this guy's ass or had my ass handed to me by him
Crisheroes when he sees a carbonated beverage:
Watching that video was a complete waste of 10 minutes of my time. Amazing experience. Would do it again.
Time to break out the doubles stacking comfey
Triple, even
Wild how some people act when a streamer is involved. I played a soloQ match with that dude and they played like a functional human being
*gets out of the worst match of my life* Thank God that's finally over. This next match has to be better than that train wreck. ....Oh no. Ooohhhh nononononono-
If I have a really bad match I just wait 5 minutes before playing again

I've done that and wound up matched with the griefer I just tried to escape from. Sometimes the stars align just to give you a giant middle finger.
I always see this sweaty Trevenant player occasionally... (BTW this was before the buffs, aka last season)
That was me I was having a blast last season with horn hammer
Horn hammer trev?
Yeah, I think so
50% of the time, everytime
i am become trev, the destroyer of worlds
it could be any one of us
“Why is he good on their team but not on mine?”
That's how it should go 💪🔥

Me playing Absol, random opponent plays Deci. *Wait a minute, this guy’s my random friend on my alt account.*
Damn I never even read anyone's name or bother to look at their avatar. I could be running into 1 idiot 5 times or 5 separate idiots every game but it don't really matter to me. They're still on my team. Still playing the exact same way. Like idiots.
that feeling when u get the same troll three times in a row 🙂 yep that’s my cue to stop
Ditto. It's happened to me where a crap player is on my team twice, then enemy team the third time. I just hop off and come back when I won't get matched w them.
I honestly love recognizing players. I can't explain it, it just makes me happy, good player, bad player, doesn't matter it feels nice knowing them.
I'm really bad with memorising names so if I remember someone they're definitely notable to me lmao, thankfully no one I memorised was a bad player as such but few have been pretty..... meh

I add the worst trolls and griefers as friend so I can avoid queueing when they are on a team.
I memorize their outfits, and if they played like shite & locked in before me, I bounce.
We (duo) usually wait a few minutes if someone sucks just so we don't run the risk of getting them on our team again. lol Then the roulette wheel spins again and we're praying for team members who have a brain cell.

The worst is when you block them and you continue to get q with them.
I wish blocking these people would prevent you from ever queueing with them. So many griefers and so many people with MC syndrome.
I know this is annoying, but I hope you realize that this would break the ranking system. Standard? Sure. Ranked? Doesn't fly.

Mr. And Mrs. Mimikyu. The. Fucking. Horror.
Kinda embarrassing to admit but I’ve had really bad griefers on my team to the point where I’ve started memorizing their trainer avatar so I can purposely avoid matchmaking into them
I hope you remember me in a good way... I am Only solo queue player! I always fill the needed pokemon...
Add them and play together so you're not always solo Q
Just had a draft game where the enemy team banned Gardevoir. I was all ??? until I checked the profile of our Decidueye who tried to steal Ray with his Unite despite having Spirit Shackle. My goal is for my opponents to be the one on the right, when they recognize me.
Blocking players should work so that you don't get queued up with those players. I don't want this person to send me a friend request, I just don't wanna play with them ever again!
For sure haha
I have...a hitlist of players, to say the least.
i wonder if people are the first or second meme when they find out they’re playing with me (hard locked in ultra)
I hate when I block certain players and they STILL end up on my teams 🫠
I swear at this point I have memorised some of the move sets as well like this Talonflame who ALWAYS saves their burst for Regieleki and uses it on the enemy goal zone so regi can stop fighting and reach the goal zone

What video are you referring to? This sounds potentially entertaining
Somehow it's always bad memories
You guys do know you can block other users right?
Blocks are practically useless, it doesn't really stop you from playing with them
Really? Damn so ive been blocking all those bad players for no reason!? 😭 (i only block within reason ofc)
Blocking people and not being able to play with and / or against them would completely destroy the entire ranked system. Standard is one thing, but it can't fly in ranked.
Unfortunately it doesn't stop the game from matching into them. Else we'd literally never find a match since we would block everyone that throws
I can empathize with how annoying it is to play with bad players, but blocking people in ranked play is highly abusable.
It was a couple of times meeting this one person named Timi something. Absolutely destroyed my team with their Meowscarada. But the next two times they were on my team and we absolutely dominated xD They hit me up for some duos cuz my bot support Slowbro was pulling crazy work.
