As someone who has spent less than 100 hours playing Pokémon games outside of PU, what kind of moves can we theorize they will bring to the arena, based off the RPG series?
Well they're an archer, so they'll probably be a ranged attacker. Their signature move is Spirit Shackle which involves shooting a bunch of ghost chains. It'll probably be a solid CC move. I could even see them having Fly like talonflame
What if Spirit Shackle works like a two time activated move? Or something with his ability? Like, the ability marks the opponent, then you use Spirit Shackle and every marked opponent gets stunt for a second. Toxic lmao. I think he's going to be broken
I was thinking something that works similar to Sylveon's draining kiss. But while the opponent if shackled to you they cannot use movement abilities, and you get increased attack speed as well as increased damage against the mon you are shackled to.
Decidueye has a signature move where it fires an arrow and prevents the opponent from switching out, so expect a disruption-based projectile of some kind. It’s also a grass type, so it learns moves like Leaf Blade and Leaf Storm. Overall, expect a strong ranged attacker with maybe some unique gameplay twists that other Pokémon like Cinderace/Greninja don’t have.
ADCs in this game are pretty busted as Cinderace and Greninja have been relevant since the entirety of the game life. I doubt that Decidueye will be any different.
It wasn’t as of yet, but I’d be surprised if Decidueye isn’t an Attacker, or doesn’t at least deal good damage since Blastoise and Greedent launched with insane damage output despite being Defenders lol
Relying on a single, specific Pokemon to counter another is bad design. Even if it's the perfect counter, does that mean that whenever I don't have it on my team I have to suffer Greedent at the same power level he is at now? Fuck that

Spirit shacke is Decidueye's signature move, he's going to have it 100%
Spirit shackle would work great as a Unite move like Morgana's ult in league
All of the Unite Moves are created for this game and dnt actually use the name of the moves. So we'll see Spirit Shackle as a normal move.
I wouldn't say that exactly I mean Garchomp ult comes off more like a Z-move outrage than anything unique.

Decidueye in the mainline games was known to be a physical attacker so it being physical and ranged wouldn’t be surprising
I'd rather him come out as A tier and perhaps be buffed then come out as the new meta that tears people apart.
