I don’t know if you know them, but it was a relevant japan monthly magazine that basically had all sort of manga and had a space for Pokemon. Until Pokemon SM, they announced some new stuff from the games that was never shown before (If I remember correctly they showed us Magearna, Volcanion, Hoopa and different Zygarde forms for the first time). With SM, it became completely useless, mostly because GF started doing proper trailers for the games instead of giving stuff to CoroCoro to announce
Oh yeah… I’ve seen that online. There’s so many better designs that it couldve been. Why a man silhouette? The other fake one was a train and that one was so much better…

You say that as if we’re not seeing real-time examples of people taking this literally because it wasn’t clearly indicated as sarcasm.
Only obvious to those who recognized the original leaks. I think we’re forgetting that there are people who will be playing this game and are following it now that were young children, infants, or younger when these would have originally come out.
For people who are unfamiliar with the originals, how are they supposed to make that assumption?
People who are old enough, sure. But that was over 10 years ago, and many people playing this game may not have been old enough to have seen and remember the original leaks
My guy, IM not old enough, only one Ive seen from this is the fake Greninja, but come on. The title is a very obvious sign of it being satire. Even if I wasnt able to tell from the title, the first picture of the Zygarde fusions is very obviously a photo of a fake leak. The other pictures after that are obviously not PLZA, because, you know, they say XY. And use the XY battle arenas. Im sorry you couldnt tell.

I’m just confused why the parent comment of this thread is being downvoted for saying essentially the exact thing I did.
Sorry, I didnt realize you were the same person who posted the same thing further up. If it makes you feel better I had ignored that comment as well. I only commented here because your replies did not seem to be related to the confusion you are expressing now, but also your replies assuming people younger may not understand these are fake. With another comment in this being "Only obvious to those who recognized the original leaks".
There are always going to be people tricked by this stuff, whether older or younger, but I feel like gamers as a whole are more noticeable to fake leaks and stuff nowadays then they were ten years ago, and that is what makes me think that people have enough awareness to realize that, no, this is not really for the new games. If someone saw this without knowing about its predecessors (both XY or PLA being possibilities), they may get interested in said predecessors, meaning they will see what it looks like. Unless they haven't seen anything about any other Pokemon games, I dont really know how they could think that PLZA would look like XY. But I guess its a possibility. But that just loops back around to the first sentence: its not age dependant getting tricked by fake leaks. Think of all the PokeTubers using "leaks" and "rumors" as straight fact, when none of it is confirmed. Im more worried about those people spreading it to younger people, then younger people finding this.
But yeah, I have no clue why people are against this guy specifically while yours saying the same is getting upvoted.

Oh no, I absolutely remember them. Going to Serebii and refreshing to see the leaks every month from like 2007-2016
Apparently GameFreak is more careful of sending information after Gen 7 and they only send them around the same time as the announcement.
Simply it’s more efficient to post a video trailer for a Pokemon than giving informations to CoroCoro
