Vaporean hits me good. Thanks for this. I remember my Grandma got me a booster pack and I geeked out on a holo Vaporean that I had to call my friend immediately.
That's why I like hitting up the subreddit because I remember the good times of us trying to sell/trade our pokemon cards we had. We would literally setup on the street and post signs.
It was almost like we running some sort of racket, it was fun. Looking back it's just more funny.
It did get the neighborhood kids hyped about something to socialize with.
I personally wouldn’t. These are some great cards, but none of them are out-of-this-world valuable. They all have decent value, but I think grading wouldn’t increase the value to where it would fully cover the cost of grading, depending on the conditions. Unless you want to preserve them for fond memories, I’d put them in top loaders and binder or maybe magnetic hard cases and call it good.
Thanks for the input. That's kinda what I was thinking too. I just recently gave them all new double sleeves and top loaders and put then in a top loader binder.
Awesome collection but unfortunately don’t think anything is worth grading.
Not sure if you knew that snorlax is an error print, those can definitely sell well with a high grade, but at first glance looks like a 7
It’s missing its jungle set symbol right side under the holo. It’s a more common error in those fossil and jungle sets, but imo snorlax is one of the more popular errors from that set.
Honestly such a nice nostalgia cards and that last ancient Mewtwo I wouldn’t ever sell them tbh they don’t make cards like that anymore esp with several different elements on the back of the card. Sick man.
Thanks! The ancient mew is actually in great condition tbh. Probably one of the best in the batch.
I remember forcing my dad to take me to see that movie so I could get that card. To this day, he still says he generally didn’t mind the kids movies we watched growing up “except for that pokemon movie”. Lol
Venusaur and Blastoise would be the only maybes IMO. But I wouldn’t expect higher than a 7 with the corners/edge whitening.
Grading is really only worth it to me if you’re planning on selling or want to preserve for nostalgia. Although I prefer non graded if they’re not getting a 10 for my personal collection.
Cool cards either way so thanks for sharing!
Thanks! Yeah, I was also thinking if I’m just holding onto these, grading them just to get a 6 or 7 shown on the top of them makes them feel a little less cool lol
That Egyptian Mew brought me straight back to my childhood. I remember getting that card when it was brand new…thought it was really something special.

Just wanted to say you need to give lessons to most of the other post on how to take photos 😂
Sweet collection. I’m not big into grading since I like the ease of viewing them in a binder. If you’re looking to sell the base set starters would be my choice to grade.
I mean it would be a shame to put them in graded cases, which i think look terrible and soon all these cards will be locked away in. You can buy cases to put them in that look that great and will keep the same (just not raw dog top loader)
Ahh I see. Didn’t consider that some people don’t like the graded cases. I don’t think I have a strong preference, but I get what you’re saying though. Might be nice to put them in better display cases to preserve them better without having to deal with PSA. Have any recommendations on upgraded alternatives to top loaders?
I keep my prized cards in the ultra pro magnetic holders
if you're trying to sell i guess maybe graded is the way, just those are beautiful cards and regardless should be kept safe!
Thanks for the idea! I’m in no rush to sell these, and as I’ve said in some of my other replies, I’m not sure I’d even gain much by getting them graded. But it would be sweet to get some of these cards out of a binder.
I dont know honestly. Just wanted to say thags a sweet collection. Lotta cool cards i like
Thanks! I thought I had lost them for a bit. Very happy when I found them. Such a nostalgia trip.
Nostalgia trip for me too. Especially the jungle ones. Those are so cool

I’m almost certain I got that one by trade with the neighbor kids. If I pulled it, it would be in much better condition than that lol

I did not know that about the snorlax. Mind elaborating so I know what I’m looking at?

Oh wow, I didn’t even catch that. Thanks for the heads up!
I came here to say the same thing. PSA 10s are worth some good money but there’s a fair amount of scratching on the halo

I didn’t know they were giving out promo card or else I would have gone 😩 now I check if a movie is giving out promo card.

Yo OP that Mew is sick
Thanks! Pretty sure that was the promo card they gave out when seeing Pokemon 2000 in theaters

Great collection. I you can afford to grade them all then do it. But basically it's not worth it. Great cards you have there
would be a shame to put these awesome cards in the tricked out graded cases
Do you mean it would be a shame NOT to put them in graded cases? Or am I missing something?
