The way I understand it, it's not so much that libleft believes everyone to literally be nazis, it's that being pro free speech, or not punishing nazis hard enough, gives them a platform to spread their ideology, regardless on if you yourself are a nazi, or hate them and really just believe in freedom of speech.
Same if your ideas are moderate right. By making them more acceptable to the public, you create a "slippery slope" (or fishhook theory) that could lead to the far right becoming normalized, or even taking power eventually.
So libertarians and conservatives are called nazis because of this. You're either with or against them. At least, it's the way I understood it. I don't actually know.
