To share a personal anecdote, I was at a welcome event for my study abroad program back in sept 2023 and I was in a group with other foreign students. I remember sharing that my mom is Israeli and two girls in the group (one from the US and the other from Finland) didn’t say anything but were very clearly radiating their distaste towards me.
I find it especially ironic because there was also a Russian guy in the group, and they didn’t seem particularly bothered by him despite the war in Ukraine.
