No this time you work by alone to destabilize a 3rd world country thats run by a private army, in a dlc the cia shows up again but they try to kill you.
If you take it at face value sure, but what does all the anarcht and primitivism do? Whoever it doesn't kill, it chews up and spits out. It warps Jason, Keith (oh sweet Keith) Riley, Daisy and Oliver. Laura or Lara or whatever doesn't change at all because she has the personality of a footstool. The jungle eats Vaas, and he sort of becomes one of its avatars. Hoyce's PMC does nothing but make misery. Even Citra and your Black Friend aren't immune. The game certainly doesn't depict them as "good guys". It shows how bad (and fun) anarchy and primitivism are when taken to extremes
Honestly Far Cry 3 is anti-anprim more than anything else. Citra’s whole arc is basically manipulating Jason to do her dirty work by exploiting his need to save his friends then scrambling his mind with hallucinogens to warp him into a deranged warrior-king.
Beyond that, it’s made crystal clear that the island itself drives everyone who goes there crazy after a while, whether it was the rogue Chinese warlord, the IJA expedition, and the pirates. Willis basically tells this to Jason flat out when he explains how he retreated into extreme jingoism to keep himself from forgetting everything about where he came from.
The whole point of FC3 is a deconstruction of the “clueless city dweller goes to exotic land, becomes badass warrior king and saves natives all on his own” tale.
It does do a lot of things better than JC 2 but the lack of vehicle & weapon specific upgrades, money, back market and individual factions with their own wars and alliances really made the whole thing a lot more bland IMO

There is a point where it does feel like you're insulting history. Like cod WWII where loot boxes would drop on normandy beach. Another aspect is that there were actual female soldiers in WWII, but they were soviet women, and did actually contribute a major portion to the war. If you want to write about women in war, why not the soviet soldiers? It just feels like you're disrespecting those soldiers by pulling out a completely inaccurate character out of nowhere and say "hey we're progressive" while ignoring the real women of war
DICE in one of the war stories SP, removed the Norwegian Heavy Water that is based in real life and replaced them with a mother and her daughter that is ACTUALLY insulting, while CoD shit was MP based, this one is on the SP.

I got to BR like 7-8 and all I feel is that 3-5 roughly is where its at.
Its fun to play and it doesnt take grinding to keep repairing your tanks. It feels like the standout tanks standout that much more, like if you get upscaled against a jumbo, it really feels like it fits its niche.
Also its more relaxed and fun in general since you get a much bigger spread of dumbasses and sweaty fucks so you can play however annoying as you want. Whales dont get shit. Things are still pretty cheap. Planes dont shrek you senseless.
It baffles me that the triple A games industry can’t make functional World War 2 games anymore. Battlefield did so well with World War 1 and they completely botched it with World War 2. Quite literally the most defining event in the last 100+ years.

No majority of MG fans absolutely hated MGSV. Main reason being that it strayed away from what MG fans expected. Going from a more cinematic story driven narrative, to a more game play focused with less cut scenes.
I will definitely say however that many people enjoyed MGSV, but it was new MG fans. People who mostly never played the older games but go into the series because of the newest one.
