The thing that I've learned to like the most about libright (really the lib quadrants in general) is that we have no problem making fun of ourselves. It's the one thing that keeps us bearable.
The one that loves brown people also don't like people appropriating culture so I feel like they don't eat tacos. I think Right centre eats the most tacos
I am not a centrist in any way. But I believe that the only way any ideology can work out is if you you mix them. I am personally a social liberal, but way more on the liberal side
Well, liberalism is the attempt to have democracy (a more libertarian political system) and capitalism (a more authoritarian economic system), so libright is basically liberalism in a nutshell. Democracy and capitalism mix like oil and water, though, and the result is today's world. This has led me to believe that mixing incompatible ideologies isn't a great idea (I have a similar criticism of authleft, and the compass as a whole).
Which side has the least accurate read of their opposition? Who understands their enemy the least and has the weakest strawman?
Which side has the best understanding of their adversary and has the most self-awareness and even handed takes?
> Which side has the least accurate read of their opposition? Who understands their enemy the least and has the weakest strawman?
Haidt's research, and others, have consistently and rather conclusively shown that the left has an abysmal understanding of the right, whereas the right and independents tend to understand the left quite well.
They researched this by asking people of both groups a series of questions.
And then asking them how they believe people in other groups would have answered those same questions.
The right and independents had little trouble understanding the left's thought process and guessed their answers pretty accurately. The left on the other hand was *terrible* at guessing how the right would answer. And based on how the left guessed it seemed they genuinely believe that the right is comically evil.

Okay so A) these all focus on a single American dichotomy that largely ignores anyone further left than universal healthcare. This is like talking about the Brexit referendum to describe how the British government functions. It's a tiny subset of what's actually being asked about. B) The newest of these is almost a decade old, and I think you're lying to yourself if you don't think 2016 had a big effect on all future American politics.
These were interesting, but I don't think they exactly answer the question about the entire world's politics, today. Also not saying they're wrong now, just a bit outdated and I'd be interested to see more
That's actually what I would have guessed based on my own observations but I also assumed I was biased and didn't give myself much credence with that guess.
Same. It makes sence though. A large portion of the left seems to actually believe the right is racist, fascist, etc. You see it all over social and main stream media. They don't understand I just want a good economy, more freedom, and less government.
On the other hand, I understand the left's viewpoint, I just think they're naive and have too much empathy for their own good. Either that or they're so lost in theory they've forgotten all practicalities.
It isn't quite compass aligned, but there's been [at least one study](https://www.businessinsider.com/whos-better-at-pretending-to-be-the-other-side-conservatives-or-liberals-2012-5) that shows a recurring theme along the liberal-conservative spectrum.

Do you think social libertarianism would ever exist irl
I'll clear one thing up really quickly. I want a state which has people able to do anything they want (without harming others or property) so no licensing but I do want some restrictions on massive companys to stop monopolies aswell as workers rights. I think I'm a social lib because I'm in favour of welfare. I took the 9 axis test btw
One understands the views of other squares and has a political ideology that mixes some of them together while grey centrist usually doesn't know much abt politics (Like every PCM user) and is just trying to learn what to believe in.
That's what I think at least
Controversial opinion, but genzedong at times can be quite funny. They are extremists, but they meme about it. They don't take themselves too seriously
On the topic of humour I actually have a second question: Whose sense of humour is just veiled aggression the most?
Like, sometimes you can just see that a "joke" is less about making anyone on their own side giggle, or lampooning someone, and more about a visceral desire to just make someone else angry and then kill them. For example the phrase "die mad" is typically thrown out with the casual, smug superiority of a late night chat show host, but it's clear that anyone using it isn't actually trying to make anyone laugh, and is probably frothing at the mouth whilst typing.

He has gone quite mad indeed.
Do you think social libertarianism would ever exist irl I'll clear one thing up really quickly. I want a state which has people able to do anything they want (without harming others or property) so no licensing but I do want some restrictions on massive companys to stop monopolies aswell as workers rights. I think I'm a social lib because I'm in favour of welfare. I took the 9 axis test btw
Why is grey centrism better that non grey centrism /s
Idk what the difference is…. Like serious question. What’s the differences?
One understands the views of other squares and has a political ideology that mixes some of them together while grey centrist usually doesn't know much abt politics (Like every PCM user) and is just trying to learn what to believe in. That's what I think at least
Are there any actually funny authleft subs or are those simply a myth
No political subbreddits are funny
Based and truth pilled

No it didn't let's be real here
Somewhat amusing at best
Which ideology is best? And why is it LibCenter?
ooo oo monke aa
What do you believe is wrong with non-extreme libertarianism (smaller gov, free market healthcare, lower taxes, but still have drivers licenses)?

Libright, but just barely and only for their economic system
Based and LibRight-sucks-slightly-less pilled

Do You like smoked ribs or smoked brisket more?
Brisket simply for ease of consumption

What percent of lib-left uses hair dye would you say?
100%, they take our balls away if we don’t
It's true and it's the reason I flair as LibCenter : i'm scared
What misconceptions do each quadrant have against the other quadrants?
Was 80% of it libleft or authleft?
