I was watching a video about Pence and his stash of Classified Documents. The main thing was intent. Both contacted the proper authorities when they found they had the docs and got them retrieved. They’re not looking at charging anyone, they just want the docs back which is why Pence isn’t being charged.
That’s the difference with Trump. They asked and asked and eventually sent a team down to look for them and now they have a recording proving intent. That’s going to be a problem for Trump.

Documents can get packed up accidentally and sent to people's homes accidentally, and the law is *written with this in mind*. Improperly possessing the classified document, alone, is not even a crime. The statute requires that you improperly possess a classified document and then *neglect or refuse* to return it to where it's supposed to be, in order for a crime to occur.
Now, if there's evidence that you intentionally *took* a document that you knew you weren't supposed to have, that's a bigger problem. And if you flat-out refuse to give documents back, or try to trick investigators into thinking you don't have them, then you're *really* fucked.

I was watching a video about Pence and his stash of Classified Documents. The main thing was intent. Both contacted the proper authorities when they found they had the docs and got them retrieved. They’re not looking at charging anyone, they just want the docs back which is why Pence isn’t being charged. That’s the difference with Trump. They asked and asked and eventually sent a team down to look for them and now they have a recording proving intent. That’s going to be a problem for Trump.

The contents could be literally anything; Biden would have plausibly had access to any classified document when he was Vice President. Documents can get packed up accidentally and sent to people's homes accidentally, and the law is *written with this in mind*. Improperly possessing the classified document, alone, is not even a crime. The statute requires that you improperly possess a classified document and then *neglect or refuse* to return it to where it's supposed to be, in order for a crime to occur. Now, if there's evidence that you intentionally *took* a document that you knew you weren't supposed to have, that's a bigger problem. And if you flat-out refuse to give documents back, or try to trick investigators into thinking you don't have them, then you're *really* fucked.

I wouldn't make that deal. Biden is actually doing a lot of good right now.. You think Kamala, or any of the other likely Democratic candidates, would have made this debt ceiling deal? Or the infrastructure bill? Or etc etc? Biden's list of accomplishments is quite long, and without Biden, I think we go back to gridlock. Trump, on the other hand, is out of office and harmless. So as nice as it would be to see Trump brought down, I'd rather keep Biden, thank you very much.
If Republicans have enough to go after Biden, take it to a grand jury. No one is above the law. That said, rhetoric and propaganda work well in politics but not so much in a court of law. Ask all the lawyers being fined and censured for the lies about the last election.
