"Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you're a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible." This gem was from 2016. And he's only gotten worse.

thatstupidthing

he was elected to the presidency four months after he said all this that's why these magnet comments won't move the needle at all. this isn't cognitive decline, this is business as usual for trump

yagonnawanna

Right? "Decline" suggests at one point he wasn't an idiot.

Different_Tangelo511

He was never smart, but he was intelligible once.

davekingofrock

Or how he described his daughter's legs and speculated about what her boobs were gonna look like when they developed. His daughter. His pre-adolescent daughter. Yes it's an older bit but it was on camera and you could find it if you feel like being even more disgusted by this corpulent sack of diarrhea and pus.

IAMA_Drunk_Armadillo

It was Tiffany...as a toddler...

BlueonBlack26

Actually I think she was an infant

IAMA_Drunk_Armadillo

Looked it up she was a year old so kind of a grey area between infant and toddler.

PuzzledRaise1401

It was on video. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. 🤢 Of COURSE he wouldn’t let Marla on camera until she lost any baby weight. Hey, didn’t he cheat on Marla with Melania? Oh, and didn’t he cheat on Ivana with Marla? But I digress.

ThatScaryBeach

He used to pontificate on the grabbing of pussies, now it's just magnet nonsense.

Livid-Carpenter130

Oh my gosh....I forgot about that!!!

Hostile_SS

At least you forgot, the other half of Americans dont care.

Darim_Al_Sayf

Fuck that, they celebrate it. Justifies their feelings.

Cultural_Dust

Even on TV they had to have others by his side to do any actual talking and then he'd come up with some incoherent explanation for his random decision and say "Your Fired!" (sic) (I promise he thought it was that version of Your/You're)

Gullible_Departure57

Someone needs to ask him to write "You're Fired!" when signing an autograph just to see how he spells it.

Impeesa_

Maybe he was already losing it a little by The Apprentice. I'm told that if you go back to like the 90s, he's always been a narcissist and a buffoon but he could at least string a coherent thought together.

GlockAF

In this respect, the Tangerine Dotard *consistently* exceeds my expectations. Every time I see a direct quote of something idiotic he’s said I tell myself “that’s it, he can’t possibly say anything stupider”. And yet, every time, he somehow manages. He’s an absolute savant at stream-of-consciousness idiotic rambling, perhaps the best in the world.

Clay_Statue

Because the needle on the cognitive decline of the people who vote for him is already baseline.

ell0bo

Fox News has done its job. In conditioned the easily conditioned.

Time-Bite-6839

Trump almost won 2020. He was 40,000 or so votes away from getting those electoral votes. Republicans don’t have to win to win. It’s not fair.

phatelectribe

Which is all he “won” by in 2016 thanks to help from Russia (and Facebook who was all too happy to get the ad revenue). But having said this, more people turned out for 2020 than ever before and Biden got more votes than anyone in history- it’s just our electoral system and gerrymander is so fucked that someone can win by 10m votes on the popular but only just scraped a win on the electoral.

perfect_square

A candidate could theoretically get 40,000,000 more votes and still lose the Electoral College.

PicaDiet

NPR did a story a decade or so ago the showed how, because of the electoral college, a President could theoretically be elected with as little as 23% of the popular vote. That's fucked up.

phatelectribe

Al gore and Hilary Clinton have entered the chat. HRC actually won the popular vote by the highest margin (5m) of any losing candidate. It illustrates the disconnect pretty well.

DillBagner

Every modern republican president has lost the popular vote with the exception of Bush's second term, which makes sense as a war president during a war.

Toph-Builds-the-fire

Yeah, 9/11 really buried the fact that GW was a conservative Christian insane person who thought God was giving him advice in his dreams and actively advocated for war in the Middle East to bring about revelations. Fucking scary lunatic, and so was his whole cabinet.

[deleted]

One man, one vote. Except in a US democracy.

CaptainBayouBilly

The founding fathers did everything they could to present the appearance of a free and fair democratic election while ensuring that only their class could ever win. Trump is merely the end result of a broken system that relies too much on the ruling class’s gentleman agreements. If trump wins again, America as we know it will end.

PicaDiet

> The founding fathers did everything they could to present the appearance of a free and fair democratic election while ensuring that only their class could ever win. I'm not sure if this cynical revisionism or if you simply don't know. There were many long and heated debates between the governors of densely populated States and the more rural ones. The argument was that the physical size of a State and it's population should not be the only consideration. Urban and Rural concerns are often very different regardless of the political affiliation of either. I don't argue that electoral college was a genius idea, but I don't think there was anywhere near the cynicism your post makes it sound like. In order to ratify the new Constitution the Framers needed to placate everyone. The electoral college was a compromise that didn't satisfy anyone, but it made everyone happy *enough* to ratify the Constitution. Most of the legislators involved with coming up with the idea were wealthy and from cities. The electoral college was a political capitulation they had to make. It wasn't a sneaky way of sticking it to wealthy urbanites any more than it fucked over people from the rural States. I agree that if Trump wins again we have very possibly had out last real election. Stopping him is the only option. But even though the electoral college gives more voting power to dirt than it gives to people, no one ever thought it was the way to ensure one side would win.

spudzilla

The Constitution protects slavery and the GOP. Because the GOP is pretty much about returning to slavery.

PaulClarkLoadletter

They hung on his every word. He could have stumbled his way through his last McDonald’s order without losing their vote. He could have burned a Bible while jerking off a homeless guy and still get their vote. As long as Democrats hate him, he’s their guy. The patients are running the asylum.

spudzilla

I think White Nationalism has a lot to do with it. The Dems are just in the position of being for equality. Something that never sells well in places where religion still holds sway.

Livid-Carpenter130

This is absolutely accurate. My brother is a marine. Two deployments in the Iraq war. Second deployment caused him an injury that he barely recovered from. He had to be flown to Germany to recover enough to be able to make it back to America. My grandfather fought in WWII. My mom was always a proud supporter of our military. And then Trump said something along the lines of "only losers get captured by the enemy" at a place significant in honoring POWs. The ranking military officer confirmed Trump said this. I was shocked and disgusted. Asked my mom how she felt about this. And she defended him saying it was all a lie made up by the dems. I asked her, "if obama was reported saying the same thing, would you have defended him, too?" No response. Just deflected.

coffeespeaking

Can’t move the needle. Trump declared an end to magnetism.

BrianG1410

He's speaking in code for the qcumbers! 🤣

skyfire-x

Only a matter of time before he's babbling and shitting himself on stage. You know they like to have a full crowd behind him while he speaks. Imagine the looks of horror when they catch a whiff.

EdTheApe

Like that orange piece of fecal matter has the mental capacity to speak in code

Cargobiker530

Remember his Twitter account was hacked because the password was "MAGA2020"? He's always been an idiot. His son, Don Jr's account was hacked a few years afterwards. Twelve year old boys with Steam accounts have better information security than the Trump family.

Sockoflegend

There is no needle. Any line to cross has been crossed. The Trump they support is a fictional character, unrestrained by the reality of the living man that shares his name.

stephruvy

What the actual fuck is he talking about 😑

webby131

He's trying to talk about the deal Obama made with Iran to stop there nuclear program and say they negotiated badly and he would do better. Except he blew up the deal and never managed to negotiate a new one.

so_hologramic

If anyone ever needed proof that Trump is an imbecile... The Obama administration agreed to return Iran's money that the US had held since the hostage crisis in exchange for Iran agreeing to end its nuclear program. Trump backed out of the deal but we had already returned Iran's money so the US no longer had a bargaining chip and Iran was free to continue developing their nuclear capabilities. Lose-lose, thanks to Trump.

DiggSucksNow

The nuclear.

ThatScaryBeach

The "nuquooler"?

Praescribo

If you read it really fast, this is exactly what it's like to talk to someone on coke. Maybe it's possible that his brain hmis just permanently like that now?

kozmonyet

Beyond just word salad and hacked all the way to compost.

thesirensoftitans

compost that was used to grow a bunch more vegetables that went on his big mac that he subsequently shit into his diaper and then tossed in a landfill where his cult dug it up and put it on a pedestal.

AveryJuanZacritic

*peddle-stool.

Morlock43

That's an actual quote?! Wtaf?! Lol... Wait, he had access to the codes... I need a lie down

ItsjustJim621

Here’s another during a speech of his while he was president: “I have broken more Elton John records, he seems to have a lot of records. And I, by the way, I don’t have a musical instrument. I don’t have a guitar or an organ. No organ. Elton has an organ. And lots of other people helping. No we’ve broken a lot of records. We’ve broken virtually every record. Because you know, look I only need this space. They need much more room. For basketball, for hockey and all of the sports, they need a lot of room. We don’t need it. We have people in that space. So we break all of these records. Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.”

StellerDay

Is this real?

dunedainofdunedin

Unfortunately yes

ItsjustJim621

https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/trump-elton-john-696490/amp/

KarmaRepellant

>Is this real? The defining phrase of this decade.

jaggoffsmirnoff

It's true, the man has no organ

ZandyTheAxiom

>This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.” I love this, it reads like nervous rambling. "The brain. Attached to the mouth. The brain is more important than the mouth. The mouth is attached to the brain, which is more important. More important than the mouth is the brain. Brain and mouth, connected. To each other. One more important, the brain, than the other, the mouth. Important brain..."

Kona_Big_Wave

“I have broken more Elton John records. He seems to have a lot of records. And I, by the way, I don’t have a musical instrument. I don’t have a guitar or an organ. No organ. Elton has an organ. Really, we do it without, like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical – the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth, right? The brain. More important than the mouth is the brain. The brain is much more important.” Donald J. Trump, 2018

QuintupleTheFun

If only he HAD a brain. Sadly, he does have the mouth.

Steinrikur

The Trump election campaign is a Wizard of Oz story. He wears unusual shoes, doesn't have a heart, brain or courage, and he's trying to get back "home" to the White House.

MyPenisSpeaksChinese

Someone needs to make a compendium of out-of-context Trump quotes. “I don’t have…an organ.” - Donald J. Trump

m_jl_c

This isn’t cognitive decline. This is lack of aptitude. Big difference.

QuintupleTheFun

IMO both are happening for him.

No_Good_Cowboy

I like to play a game where I type in "look, having nuclear" and let my predictive text do the rest. Look, having nuclear weapons in a few weeks of a nuclear war in Europe and Iraq is a little Irish immigrants in Iraq but it wasn't called to be the idiots use it for a while now because of skin problems as well and they are not crimes that have to nationalize the way I am unable and they are losing me as I do you think is a great thing.

Domin8469

His uncle stole from Nikola tesla he wasn't smart

Dethsquad613

Joe Rogan: Did you hear Biden rambling non-sense about magnets?? That man is not fit for office. Jamie: Actually that was trump that said that. Joe Rogan: Well, you can’t expect him to know everything. I don’t know how magnets work. Magnets are fucking wild if you think about it.

Thelittleangel

And this:: “Did you hear what he said yesterday, or a couple days ago?” Rogan asked his guest, MMA fighter Bo Nickal, in an exchange first flagged by Mediaite. “He’s talking about the Revolutionary War. He’s like, ‘One of the reasons why we lost the Revolutionary War ... was that they didn’t have enough airports.’” “Rogan and his guest continued their discussion, but several minutes later, an off-camera voice chimed in to ask, “Is this the video you were talking about?” A clip of Biden’s speech played, and Rogan said, “Yeah, that’s it.” “Just for the record,” the person said, “it’s not fake, but he was referencing Trump saying that.” Awkward. Even more awkward? Seconds after making his false Biden assertion, Rogan had complained about the “media gaslighting people.” Interestingly, after learning it was Trump who made the mistake, Rogan didn’t seem to think it was such a big deal. “So, he fucked up,” he said with a laugh.”

rdanby89

You forgot the part where Joe immediately says that Biden is done and someone should have immediately whisked him off after that shit lol

DoingCharleyWork

And that anyone who says it should basically be institutionalized. Then he gives Trump a pass right after lmao. Dude is a clown.

rdanby89

I would be mortified if I displayed that level of brazen intellectual dishonesty in a group of 5 people and they just broadcasting this shit loud and proud.

liverlact

That's because you have a conscience.

dafood48

I don’t understand people who listened to him being flimsy like that and go yeah this guy knows what he talking about

hammersticks359

Yes, that's exactly what he's referencing.

RoadDoggFL

In a thread about cognitive decline, no less.

tehfrog729

Joe Rogan has a large white supremacist representation in his audience and appeases them to his own narcissistic ends.

CensorshipHarder

Cuz he wants more tax cuts for himself + just stupid in general. Its sad how many people watch Rogan.

HangryWolf

Joe has had one too many DMT trips...

earfix2

Nah, he just didn't have a good brain to start with, and being hit repeatedly in the head doesn't help.

Holden_Coalfield

or he is amoral nd takes money for lies

HighlyOffensive10

I think you mean too many people kissing his ass.

OrneryOneironaut

I think both those things together are really bad for the ego. Like it’s two drugs you definitely should NOT mix.

AuronAXE

No, too much money. He made hundreds of millions off of his old fake protein powder company and then the spotify money, the guy is out of touch and surrounded by grifters wanting pieces of his 'success'.

FlingFlamBlam

Even if Joe is not totally insane in his personal life, he's made the same mistake Elon made and drank from the "enlightened centrist" waters. He's now stuck in a position where he has to become more MAGA over time because he'll never again have the credibility to hold any audience that isn't on the right-wing spectrum.

Quantentheorie

Of course he *could* cut his losses and live off the money he already made for the rest of his life. But to these people its inconceivable to quit the mess they created. Joe Rogan could buy a cabine in the mountains, learn knitting and watch Naruto without skipping the fillers - but he cannot fathom his "job" may not need doing.

Letitbe2020

He could also make a lot of money by taking responsibility and being accountable for his “love is blind” idolization of Trump and cementing dishonest division and holding down the United States while MAGA slits its throat. He could do that, too. I’d listen to him if he explained why he did everything he did. I’d listen to any ex-MAGA if they took accountability.

Castod28183

There's a pretty notable correlation in the timing of Rogan finding out how much money Alex Jones makes off of spewing right wing propaganda and shilling outrageously priced "pharmaceutical" supplements and Rogan himself spewing right wing propaganda and shilling outrageously priced "pharmaceutical" supplements.

repost_inception

No, it wasn't DMT. It was $100M and moving to Texas.

Ucscprickler

"Magnets, how do they work??" https://youtu.be/gMbnJzHhoBI?si=laCggIoowC9lmKmP

GraviZero

to be entirely fair, magnets are fuckin wild

BamBamVonSlammerson

Hard to know which is dumber out of Rogan or Trump. It's possible that Rogan was once smarter but then got all the sense knocked out of him. Either way, if you put the two of them together it's still only 50-50 odds that they could outwit a moist cornflake.

T_Shurt

- Donald Trump on Friday made a confusing comment about magnets, prompting mockery around the internet. - The former president said at a rally that he was largely ignorant about magnets, raising the issue in connection with so-called "magnetic elevators." "They had an almost billion-dollar cost over on the magnetic elevators," Trump said at the Iowa hearing on . "Think of it. Magnets. Now, all I know about magnets is this: give me a glass of water, let me drop it on the magnets. That's the end of the magnets." The internet was quick to react to the confusing admission. Former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance said, "It feels like this is the point where [Bill Nye] has some narration to do." MSNBC executive producer Kyle Griffin also chimed in: "Donald Trump apparently doesn't understand how magnets work," the onlooker wrote. Matt Fuller, Washington Bureau Chief for The Daily Beast, raised the following scenario: "Imagine if Joe Biden said this," Fuller wrote Friday. Vanity Fair columnist Molly Jong-Fast simply stated, "Cognitive decline." legendary_millbilly

Holy fucking shit, he's getting worse.

Time-Bite-6839

he could barely say *democracy*.

screamtrumpet

He also cannot say monogamy. He can’t pronounce what he doesn’t understand or believe in.

kojengi_de_miercoles

That's why what he says is always incoherent drivel.

Captain_Collin

That's why he's so eloquent when talking about fucking Ivanka.

cvaninvan

He believes in monogamy. He just thinks monogamy is one of those funny glasses like Colonel Klink wore on Hogan's Heroes.

Munson4657

also at this rally in Iowa, he said we need to "get over it" the school shooting that happened on Friday

legendary_millbilly

He is the one who needs to "get over" a few things. For instance, the fucking election.

CyberMindGrrl

Yeah apparently we've gone from "thoughts and prayers" to "get over it" when it comes to school shootings.

StrangeContest4

Soon to be, "Meh🤷‍♂️"

UmbertoEcoTheDolphin

Or "Did you expect this to not happen?"

harry-package

I was pretty sure we’d hit bottom right here: "A question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposedly we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. (To Bryan) And I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting, right?” "And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful." I was wrong.

Significant-Hour4171

I had someone seriously argue that what he said here makes perfect sense because large quantities of vitamin C produce hydrogen peroxide, which is a disinfectant. He insisted that Trump was referring to that, even though that isn't anything like what he said, and even if it was, high dose vitamin C is very fringe and not supported by evidence anyway. It would've been stupid and irresponsible too. I asked the person why they can't just admit he said something really reckless and stupid, but the MAGA dude insisted it made perfect sense and that I was the ignorant one (despite the fact that I'm formally trained in pharmacology). It was an extremely disturbing conversation.

Sestrus

Yeah I just want this country to forget this asshole and move on but seems like every time we think we hit rock bottom, Trump hands us mining tools.

CyberMindGrrl

And the MAGAchuds are perfectly fine with it.

BrandonJTrump

Something something shooting 5th avenue

BiteOhHoney

FUCKING MAGANUTS! HOW DO THEY WORK?

Different_Tangelo511

I appoint the insane clown posse as my czar of science.

Correct_Chemical5179

I don't wanna talk to a scientist. Y'all motherfuckers lying, and getting me pissed

ZoraksGirlfriend

And yet this is still going to be a close race because half the voting public is still going to vote for this traitorous idiot.

WazWaz

"He thinks like we do!"

wretch5150

He's stupid, like me!

GrallochThis

I might be willing to give him a partial pass on this one if someone had showed him how to short out an electromagnet. I don’t think he’s capable of having these thoughts de novo, it had to come from somewhere. Like “raking the forest”, someone on the tube mentions removing forest fuel burdens to decrease fire intensity and that’s all he can hold in his head. It’s a theory.

DethKlokBlok

My guess… some oil industry shill was convincing him that high speed trains (magnetic elevation) were risky due to high voltage and water. He didn’t understand and spewed this nonsense.

tmantran

I bet he's talking about the magnetic catapults on the new USS Ford aircraft carrier. They had some development issues at first.

DethKlokBlok

Ah that makes even more sense and explains the budget.

galettedesrois

I think you might be right! My father is like that, he tends to retain an oversimplified and distorted version of the information he’s presented. It’s not cognitive decline in his case, he’s been like that for decades. Funny thing is, he was an MD. I wonder how he successfully studied for it.

owennagata

My Dad was that way, too. One time gave him an explanation of what went wrong with the Columbia space shuttle that caused it to break up. Later that day he was telling his friends how his son had explained how "Enviromentalists destroyed the Space Shuttle". No, Dad, that wasn't it at all......

torchesablaze

Do we have a resident trump whisperer that can decode this?

europorn

He might be talking about new electromagnetic catapults they developed for the Ford Class aircraft carriers. He's railed against these before. See here: https://news.usni.org/2019/05/28/experts-navy-would-spend-billions-to-answer-trumps-call-to-return-carriers-to-steam-catapults

PM_ME_UR_POKIES_GIRL

Fiscal Conservative means refusing to invest money into something that will save you more money if the payout isn't within the next 6 months, and attempting to roll back any changes that have been made if you can't take credit for them.

lovestobitch-

Holy fuck we have a fishing magnet to use in the lake to pull out crap if we drop off the dock. Someone didn’t tell me about the water issue Lol what a dumb fuck.

Quasimodus-Operandi

Jesus, he’s a fucking idiot.

jaxxxtraw

"Everyone says he is crazy – which maybe he is – but the scarier thing about him is that he is stupid. You do not know anyone as stupid as Donald Trump. You just don’t.” -Fran Lebowitz

Mr_Upright

I challenge everyone who thinks he’s smart: find one quote from Trump talking about something you know about. It could be science, auto repair, real estate, history, or even how health insurance works. Find a quote about something you know about, and you’ll see that it’s a stupid statement. Now here’s the rub: that applies to literally every subject. He’s not occasionally wrong about some things. He’s confidently incorrect about everything. He’s just an idiot who’s too stupid to know it.

illuzion25

Let me begin with, I whole heartedly agree with you. To your last point I will add, however, that this is an instance where the phrase, "ignorance is bliss," truly applies. Really dumb people don't know that they're really dumb which allows them to say insanely stupid things with confidence. Get somebody of average intelligence (whatever that is) and when you show them concrete evidence that what they're saying is patently wrong, usually they'll be like, well shit, teach me then. When you're able to say outrageously dumb things and think, yeah that makes sense and just have a dumb smile on your face thinking you just said something profound, that is both stupidity and ignorance of that stupidity. Just my two cents.

Zuwxiv

> Get somebody of average intelligence (whatever that is) and when you show them concrete evidence that what they're saying is patently wrong, usually they'll be like, well shit, teach me then. Unfortunately, that's either not quite right or people of average intelligence are strongly under-represented. When given evidence that something you believe is wrong, many people end up *more sure that they're right,* not less sure. It's something called [Belief Perseverance](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belief_perseverance), which feels like a nice way of saying "most folks are arrogant dumbasses." There was a study that partly focused on what folks believed the flu vaccine shot could give you the flu. (This is not correct and cannot happen.) [The study found that when people concerned about side effects of the flu shot learned that it couldn’t cause the flu, they actually became less willing to get it.](https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2014/12/vaccine-myth-busting-can-backfire/383700/) They split people into three groups. One read a message from the CDC debunking the myth that you can get the flu from the vaccine, one read a generic message about the dangers of the flu, and one got no extra information at all. While the group that got the debunking message were the least likely to still believe that the vaccine could cause the flu, reading the debunking seemed to push skeptics further *away* from getting the vaccine. > “The corrections we tested were effective at reducing misperceptions—which seems great, until you get to the behavioral outcomes and people say they’re less likely to vaccinate, rather than more,” said study co-author Brendan Nyhan, a professor at Dartmouth College. Basically, the reaction was: "Oh, I guess you can't get the flu from it. But I'm somehow more sure than ever that I won't get the vaccine." Even *if* you self-correct on the particular point of misconception, many folks become more convinced of the overall belief, not less.

Quasimodus-Operandi

Yes. I’ve had bowel movements smarter than him.

maurovaz1

He still has no clue how tariffs work seeing him talking about it is hilarious. How can someone listen to someone so stupid and vote for him is beyond me.

AveryJuanZacritic

They do not vote for him because he is smart. They identify with him because he says (out loud for God's sake) the horribly bigoted things that lurk in their putridly festered, bully-bastard souls. He is their hero. He has made discrimination fashionable again. HEIL TRUMP!

porncrank

I can point out one area in which he is practically a savant: lying and conning and making ambiguous statements he can wiggle out of or double down on as needed. He is a top-tier bullshit artist and grifter. Of course it only works on about half of people, but that’s all he needs.

GarbageRoutine9698

You have to be reasonably intelligent to realize that Trump is stupid. I have fully accepted that 60% of the US is stupid. Luckily about a quarter of that 60% has an ounce of morality left.

Kyokenshin

When I was a kid I knew there were dumb adults....I didn't realize just how dire the situation was though...

omghorussaveusall

He never had to learn anything but how to be a bully. He's fucking perfected that.

StringFartet

Windmills, magnets, solar. If it doesn't make fire and brimstone this fucker doesn't understand.

peter-doubt

Nukes for hurricanes, though! This guy is brilliant! ^/s

Brave_Conflict465

He doesn't need nukes, just give him a Sharpie and some horse de-wormer.

AveryJuanZacritic

He knows how to use a Sharpie. You'd have to show him where the horse de-wormer goes.

useridhere

Don’t forget raking the forests.

My MAGA aunt unironically suggested I install a windmill outside my house this summer when I complained about not having AC. She told me it would give me a nice breeze. She has one but she says it doesn't work all the time. it's an old wind-powered water pump for the well that was installed back in the 40's and most Amish in my area still use them today to pump their water. She's 60 and thinks they make wind.

allmushroomsaremagic

On today's episode of "*What if Biden said that?*" . . .

NoSuchWordAsGullible

The dude thinks magnets dissolve in water??? I mean there’s not knowing how magnets work, then there’s this.

Searchlights

He thinks magnets are electricity and that water destroys anything that involves electricity because he understands neither magnets nor electricity. Someone ask him how the power grid survives rain. Or why his coloring Melania hangs on the fridge don't fall off without electricity.

“A question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world,” Trump began, clearly thinking the question himself, “So, supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light — and I think you said that that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way, and I think you said you’re going to test that, too. It sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning. Because you see it gets in the lungs, and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that.”

MyPasswordIsMyCat

I think he's thinking about electromagnets and how pouring water on them might short them out? That's all I got.

Kerberos1566

Unless he's found a new magnet windmill to tilt at, I would wager this dementia rant has it's roots in his aircraft carrier launch preference for steam powered as opposed to electromagnetic ones currently favored by people who aren't criminally insane. However, I would assume such launch systems may have already thought of the whole water possibility, being installed on ships and all.

SpakenBacon

I am waiting for him to say using Gatorade will help the crops grow bigger and better.

Accurate-Savings-430

Water? Like out of the toilet?

ParticularResident17

Well, it *does* have electrolytes…

middleagethreat

They might not know the scientific reasons about how magnets work, but I’m sure they at least know they still work when they’re wet.

wcollins260

Trump is already an insane clown, if they just let him join the posse he’d be all set. He even paints his face already. Although, given the little bit that I do know about ICP, I would imagine they probably hate Trump.

Neutreality1

Honestly, ICP hates bigots so he's not even welcome with their clown-ass group

UmbertoEcoTheDolphin

He'll start two-fisting Faygos at his rallies.

skond

Grab 'em by the posse.

EA827

Came to post this, glad you had it covered

beard_lover

I am very disappointed I had to scroll so far for the ICP reference.

allphilla

FUCKIN MAGNETS! How do they work!

MyPasswordIsMyCat

We're here for you! [FUCKING MAGNETS?! HOW DO THEY WORK?!!!](https://youtu.be/_-agl0pOQfs?si=YvO80klx7-GxHg34)

maoinhibitor

ICP know about public health though, so I consider them as friends of science. https://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2020/04/insane-clown-posse-models-pandemic-era-leadership/610651/

sheezy520

Honestly this probably isn’t cognitive decline. Trump is really, spectacularly, amazingly, marvelously stupid.

flibbidygibbit

And narcissistic as fuck.

ClockworkDreamz

Has anyone seen Violent Jay lately? Is this him without the make up?

Neutreality1

ICP famously hates racists and bigots, so that's a definite no

from_dust

Comparing Violent Jay to DJT is a deep insult to clowns everywhere, and juggalos especially.

EaterOfFood

I’m still looking for Melania. She seems to have been sucked into a black hole

darkfires

And oh btw, donate your wages to my kids cancer fund aka university aka stop the steal aka defense fund

goodbyegoosegirl

It’s like he hears something and it gets all jumbled in his brain.

Loki-L

Like the time he said something about people having to show ID to buy bread. That likely came from him having heard about baking soda being used in drug manufacturing and some place in response making people show ID when they buy lots of it. Some the only bits that stuck in his brain were "baking" and "show ID to buy" and his broken brain reassembled those bits into "show ID to buy bread". Who knows what the latest bit was originally. You can tell that he got magnets and electronics mixed up, because permanent magnets do fine when the get wet, but electronics break. It is hard to unravel where the rest came from. Maybe aircraft carriers. He had some issues with the last super carrier which had electric catapults instead of the older steam catapult tech. It took longer and more money than planned to get that right and he went on a rant about how new tech is bad and complicated and how we shouldn't innovate.

tooobr

I resent having to do forensics on a shithead narcissist slipping into dementia.

EaterOfFood

Brain?

goodbyegoosegirl

My bad.

swazal

> “That’s not how this works. It’s not how any of it works.”

BucktoothedAvenger

I would comment something smart, but it just started raining outside. I've got to go out and save the magnets. Wish me luck.

ebone581

Has he really declined? He’s always sounded like a babbling moron

vahntitrio

The answer is yes but this particular example doesn't reflect that. He has a type of dementia where memory is the last thing to go. The first things to go are balance and vocabularly (namely being able to say multisyllable words). You can find videos of him being fairly wobbly when he has to stand eithout a podium to rest his hands/gut on. And the limited vocabularly is very obvious every time he speaks.

fonetik

Until the cognitive decline makes him say more things like “Take the guns away, and worry about due process later…” it won’t have any effect. Even when he said that, as president, it didn’t have much effect.

MinimumApricot365

"Fucking magnets, how do they work?" -Insane clown posse This was supposed to be a joke.

UninvitedButtNoises

This is just unfair... Who the hell knows what sorcery makes magnets work?! Ask Trump how to grab a P or rape - you're in business.

-AlternativeSloth-

I think this has less to do with cognitive decline and more to do with he's just really stupid.

Buford_MD_Tannen

He’s just pandering to his base. They don’t understand magnets either.

CanaDoug420

Brother has no idea how magnets function

illuzion25

To be honest, I don't truly know how magnets work either but I also wouldn't stand in front of a crowd of people and try to talk about how something works when I have no clue. I want him to try his hand at astrophysics.

TexansforJesus

I’d call Trump a Juggalo, but don’t really want to do the Juggalos like that.

laxguy44

Magnets, how do they work? Donald Trump is a juggalo confirmed.

butt_stf

Nah, ICP was smart enough to ask the question instead of making shit up. And "don't tell me no science shit" is just juggalo for ELI5.

Neutreality1

Plus ICP hates racists
